Refactor all usage of form.watch to either useWatch or subscribe (#48436)
## Context Replaces all usage of `form.watch()` to use `useWatch` instead + follows the "name what you watch" convention as specified in the react-hook-form skills. There's also a small refactor in `SmtpForm.tsx` which removes the unnecessary use of a `useState` to track if SMTP is enabled or not <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Improvements** * Updated many Studio forms to watch specific fields more precisely, improving live UI updates for previews, warnings, conditional sections, and validation messages. * Enhanced responsiveness across settings, authentication, billing, storage, integrations, and support flows while keeping save/update behavior the same. * **Refined Experiences** * Improved the analytics table creation flow with tighter, enum-based column type validation and structured, type-specific column options. * **Preserved Behavior** * Maintained existing permission checks, submission flows, and account-management workflows. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

Merge compute and disk into Infrastructure (#48370)
## Summary This is the final step in merging compute and disk with infrastructure to become a single place to manage everything. This moves everything we've done in compute and disk over to infrastructure along with redirects. - Makes Infrastructure canonical for the completed compute and disk configuration and usage charts. - Moves Service Versions to General Project Settings. - Removes the legacy Infrastructure activity implementation and constants. - Updates settings navigation, shortcuts, banners, billing links, warning CTAs, usage pages, support suggestions, and other internal entry points. - Adds the permanent `/settings/compute-and-disk` redirect, removes its Next and TanStack routes, regenerates the route tree, and updates the migration checklist. - Preserves query parameters and legacy metric anchors, including `#cpu`. ## Stack 1. #48368 2. #48369 3. #48370 (this PR) ## How to test 1. Check out `chore/infra-compute-3-cutover`. 2. Test the Next implementation with `pnpm dev:studio`, then stop it and test TanStack with `STUDIO_FRAMEWORK=tanstack pnpm dev:studio`. 3. In each implementation, open `/project/<ref>/settings/infrastructure`. Confirm the page contains the usage charts and the Scaling, Compute, Disk, and Advanced configuration sections. 4. Open `/project/<ref>/settings/general`. Confirm Service Versions appears there with its existing name, content, and styling, and no longer appears on Infrastructure. 5. Open `/project/<ref>/settings/compute-and-disk?upgrade=micro#disk`. Confirm it permanently redirects to `/project/<ref>/settings/infrastructure?upgrade=micro#disk`, preserving the query string and hash. 6. Confirm the settings menu exposes Infrastructure and no longer exposes Compute and Disk. Repeat with platform and self-hosted settings. 7. Follow representative entry points from billing usage, resource warning CTAs, upgrade banners, shortcuts, and support suggestions. Confirm they land on Infrastructure and preserve any query parameters or metric anchors such as `#cpu`. 8. Smoke-test compute and disk updates from Infrastructure, including validation, the sticky review footer, and warning/critical chart states. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Consolidated compute and disk management under the **Infrastructure** project settings page. * Added a **Service versions** section to **General** project settings. * **Bug Fixes** * Updated links and upgrade CTAs across the product to route to the correct **Infrastructure** or **Service versions** destinations. * Added permanent redirects from legacy **Compute and Disk** to **Infrastructure**, preserving query/hash. * Improved resource warning upgrade routing for compute scenarios. * **Tests** * Expanded automated coverage for **Infrastructure**, **Service versions**, redirects, and warning-link routing. * **Chores** * Updated ESLint rule baseline configuration for the studio app. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Alaister Young <10985857+alaister@users.noreply.github.com> |

chore(ui-patterns): collapse the admonition shim into ui-patterns/Admonition (#48377)
Follow-up to #48344: collapses the two resolution paths for the Admonition module into one. `src/admonition.tsx` was a back-compat shim re-exporting `src/Admonition/`. Two ways to resolve one module is exactly what produced the macOS self-import bug fixed in #48344, and the local typecheck errors that #48374 worked around. This removes the shim and standardizes on the PascalCase subpath, matching every other export in the package. **Changed:** - Codemodded all 246 `ui-patterns/admonition` imports to `ui-patterns/Admonition` (240 `.tsx`, 5 `.mdx`, 1 `.ts` across studio, docs, www, design-system, and lite-studio) - Pointed the 5 internal `'../admonition'` imports back at the `'../Admonition'` directory **Removed:** - `packages/ui-patterns/src/admonition.tsx`, and its `./admonition` entry in the exports map (regenerated with `pnpm gen:exports`) ## To test - `grep -r "ui-patterns/admonition" --include='*.ts*'` → no hits - `pnpm test:case-hazards` → passes - `pnpm typecheck` → all 15 tasks green - `pnpm --filter studio run lint:ratchet` → passes - `pnpm --filter ui-patterns vitest run src/Admonition` → 11 tests pass <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Bug Fixes** * Standardized Admonition component imports across the application and documentation. * Improved compatibility with case-sensitive environments by using the canonical component path. * Removed the legacy Admonition import entry point. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Alaister Young <10985857+alaister@users.noreply.github.com> |

chore(studio): remove region limitation for vector buckets (#48248)
## I have read the [CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) file. YES ## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Remove the region limitation on vector buckets ## What is the current behavior? Currently vector buckets are limited to a subset of Supabase regions ## What is the new behavior? All supabase regions now have access to vector buckets ## Additional context <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Vector buckets are now available based solely on platform enablement, without region-based restrictions. * **Bug Fixes** * Removed the region limitation message and related region availability checks from the Storage Vectors page. * Updated vector bucket upgrade behavior to reflect platform availability more consistently. * **Tests** * Updated coverage to reflect the simplified platform-based availability behavior. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

feat(pipelines): Add UI selector for choosing which tables to skip copy of (#47808)
## Summary Adds initial-copy scoping to Pipelines in Studio. Users can copy all existing rows, skip all initial copies, copy only selected publication tables, or skip selected table copies. All publication tables continue streaming new changes regardless of the initial-copy policy. The policy now round-trips through create, edit, validation, and the generated Management API contract. Initial-copy estimates and table-restart confirmations use the same scope. Edit requests also preserve redacted credentials and pipeline settings that Studio does not own. This completes the Studio layer of the [ETL API change](https://github.com/supabase/etl/pull/897) and [Management API change](https://github.com/supabase/platform/pull/35479). ## Screenshots ### Selector <img width="1153" height="465" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/bf615e82-ee61-4222-979d-a8695a957e82" /> ### Select certain tables only <img width="1153" height="465" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/28adaa24-f239-4d1d-8fb8-fdb1988320cd" /> ### Confirm copy costs As the final step before the pipeline is created: <img width="597" height="619" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/a660bd87-bfb8-41c5-8099-4cdbdef943bf" /> ### Policy-aware initial-copy estimate #### Copy no table is selected <img width="407" height="464" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/99d859ec-2ec3-452a-ab69-11924a8db260" /> #### Some tables are selected <img width="407" height="464" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/e68aedf4-66bc-4372-98ef-0dd7fecef324" /> <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit - **New Features** - Added configurable “initial table copy” policies (copy/skip all and copy/skip selected) during replication setup, including table-picker behavior, pruning of stale selections, and updated restart/cost estimates. - **Bug Fixes** - Improved restart flows to consistently use `schema.table` identity and simplified “errored tables” targeting to match error-state tables. - Reduced unnecessary loading by gating publication/table fetches to when panels are visible; improved validation/toast handling when publication tables are unavailable. - **Tests** - Added/expanded coverage for destination form submission, table-copy selection, restart/cost dialogs, and copy-estimate summarization. - **Style** - Refreshed warning/label text for clearer configuration and confirmation messaging. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Victor Farazdagi <simple.square@gmail.com> Co-authored-by: Joshen Lim <joshenlimek@gmail.com> |

chore(a11y): convert leftover focus recipes to focus-ring (#48219)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Accessibility cleanup (DEPR-628). ## What is the current behavior? Leftover call sites still use ad-hoc focus recipes (`ring-foreground-muted`, `outline-brand`, Dialog/Sheet `focus:` rings, etc.) instead of the shared utilities from #41575. ## What is the new behavior? Converts those leftovers across `packages/ui`, Studio, www, docs, and design-system to `focus-ring`, preferring `focus-visible`. Keeps documented exceptions (`group-focus-visible`, InputGroup `:has()`). ## To test Tab through controls (keyboard only). Expect a consistent offset ring on `:focus-visible`, not a green/brand/custom stack, and no ring animation. ### www (marketing) Preview: https://zone-www-dot-com-git-danny-depr-628-focus-ring-fbccf9-supabase.vercel.app - Global nav on `/`: Product, Developers, Solutions dropdowns; logo; hamburger + mobile menu - `/features`: view toggles and feature cards - `/company`: card links - `/changelog`: timeline / entry links - `/partners/catalog`: grid/list toggle and partner cards - `/pricing`: compute section expand control - Product / Modules / Solutions sticky navs on product pages (e.g. `/database`, `/storage`) - `/state-of-startups`: TwoOptionToggle if present ### docs Preview: https://docs-git-danny-depr-628-focus-ring-long-tail-supabase.vercel.app - Any guide page: top nav dropdowns and items - Narrow viewport: hamburger, then mobile menu links + close - Guide with PromptPanel / tabs: tab to prompt actions and tab list ### studio (dashboard) Preview: https://studio-staging-git-danny-depr-628-focus-ring-long-tail-supabase.vercel.app - Project home: Connect section tiles; drag-handle focus on sortable sections - Integrations marketplace (`/project/<ref>/integrations`): featured cards, list/grid toggle, list rows - Auth (`/project/<ref>/auth/oauth-apps`, `/project/<ref>/auth/providers`): open create/edit sheet, tab to close (X) - Database policies (`/project/<ref>/database/policies`): open policy editor sheet, tab to close - Storage policies (`/project/<ref>/storage/files/policies`): bucket section links; policy modal close - Query performance (`/project/<ref>/observability/query-performance`): info icon buttons on metrics - Replication pipeline detail (if available): slot lag / status info icons - Support (`/support/new`): attachment add/remove controls - Table editor: spreadsheet import preview checkboxes; row text/JSON editor TwoOptionToggle - Any Dialog/Sheet/toast close (X): ring on keyboard focus only, not mouse click ### design-system Preview: https://design-system-git-danny-depr-628-focus-ring-long-tail-supabase.vercel.app - Colour palette swatches (keyboard focus) - Form patterns sidepanel example: avatar / focusable control in the example ## Additional context - Linear: [DEPR-628](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/DEPR-628) - Follow-ups: form-group CSS (DEPR-629), Storage columns selection (DEPR-630), ESLint rule (DEPR-632) <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Accessibility & Usability** * Standardized keyboard focus indicators across navigation, dialogs, forms, buttons, toggles, links, and tooltips using a consolidated focus style. * Improved toggle controls to use proper button semantics (instead of clickable text), including `aria-pressed`/disabled handling and better keyboard navigation. * **Visual Updates** * Harmonized hover/focus ring visuals across the design system, Studio, documentation, and marketing pages while preserving existing layout and interaction behavior. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

fix(eslint): promote require-explicit-tabindex to error (#48170)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Accessibility / lint hardening (Safari keyboard focus). ## What is the current behavior? `supabase/require-explicit-tabindex` is `'warn'`. Studio’s ratchet was at 0 but the rule was still ratcheted; www / docs / design-system still had raw `<button>` / `role="button"` call sites without an explicit `tabIndex`. [DEPR-627](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/DEPR-627) · follow-up to #47984 / #48040 ## What is the new behavior? - Shared config: `'supabase/require-explicit-tabindex': 'error'` - Swept www / docs / design-system (+ Studio test fixtures the ratchet skipped) - Removed the rule from the Studio ratchet + baselines ## To test Prefer **Safari**. This PR only adds explicit `tabIndex` to raw `<button>` / `role="button"` call sites — not links, and not controls that already go through `Button` from `ui`. ### Marketing (`www`) ([staging link](https://zone-www-dot-com-git-danny-depr-627-promote-req-7ae43c-supabase.vercel.app/)) - [x] Homepage frameworks / dashboard feature tabs — Tab through each tab button - [x] Product pages (e.g. `/auth`, `/database`) — section tab switchers - [x] Narrow viewport — open the hamburger; Tab through menu buttons - [x] `/partners/catalog` — filter / view controls - [x] Blog view toggle (list ↔ grid) ### Docs ([staging link](https://docs-git-danny-depr-627-promote-require-explici-25e46d-supabase.vercel.app/)) - [x] **Desktop (≥ lg):** top-right **⋯ menu** (hamburger icon) — opens a dropdown that includes Theme. Not a separate theme button. - [x] **Mobile (< lg):** top-right **hamburger** opens the sheet; close (X) is the raw button we tagged. Theme inside the sheet uses `ThemeToggle` / `DropdownMenuTrigger` from `ui` (already supposed to set `tabIndex`). - [x] **Code blocks** — copy / language controls - [x] **Is this helpful?** — X / check are `Button` from `ui` (should already Tab). After voting **while signed in**, the follow-up “What went well?” / “How can we improve?” text button is the raw one we tagged. - [x] **AI Tools → Copy as Markdown** (right rail on a guide) — this is the only GuidesSidebar control this PR changed. “On this page” TOC items are **links**, not covered by this lint. - [x] **Reference docs** (e.g. JS client reference) — section headers that expand/collapse in the left nav (`Collapsible.Trigger`) - [x] **Troubleshooting index** — type in the search field, then Tab to the **clear (X)** control ### Dashboard (`studio`) No production UI changes in this PR (tests + lint config only). Quick Safari smoke that prior tabindex work still holds: - [x] Project sidebar — Tab through primary nav links - [x] Settings → General — Tab through inputs / buttons - [x] Storage → Files — Tab a bucket row / file actions |

chore(design-system): standardise keyboard focus rings (#41575)
## I have read the [CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) file. YES ## What kind of change does this PR introduce? UI / design-system consistency (accessibility). ## What is the current behavior? Keyboard focus rings are inconsistent across Studio and `packages/ui`: - Custom Button uses thick `outline` with per-variant colours (brand / grey / destructive / warning) - Form controls use muted grey rings (`ring-background-control`) - Tabs / NavMenu / Radio use soft brand `ring-ring` - Studio `.inset-focus` uses dark green `outline-brand-600` Related: [DEPR-354](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/DEPR-354). ## What is the new behavior? One shared focus recipe, exposed as Tailwind `@utility` classes in `packages/config/css/utilities.css`: | Utility | Use when | | --- | --- | | `focus-ring` | Buttons, inputs, most controls (offset ring) | | `focus-inset` | Dense/flush surfaces such as interactive table rows (renamed from `inset-focus`) | ```txt # focus-ring outline-hidden focus-visible:ring-2 focus-visible:ring-ring focus-visible:ring-offset-2 focus-visible:ring-offset-background ``` Applied on Button, shadcn form controls, Menu/NavMenu, Command palette trigger, Studio table rows, and related call sites. Documented in the design-system accessibility docs. Variants do not change focus ring colour. When the ring must appear on a different element than the focused one (e.g. Menu + ProductMenu `Link` via `group-focus-visible`, or InputGroup via `:has()`), keep an explicit ring stack. The utilities bake in `:focus-visible` on the same element. ## Additional context **Out of scope** - Full `packages/ui` / Studio / www sweep - Legacy Studio form-group green box-shadow cleanup - ESLint rule for bare `outline-none` ## Test plan Prefer Safari (“hard mode” for `tabIndex`). Expect one soft brand ring everywhere: not grey, not solid green outline. ### Design system - [ ] [Accessibility](https://design-system-git-dnywh-choreimprove-tab-focus-styles-supabase.vercel.app/design-system/docs/accessibility): recipe docs match what you see - [ ] [Button](https://design-system-git-dnywh-choreimprove-tab-focus-styles-supabase.vercel.app/design-system/docs/components/button): Tab primary / default / danger; same ring colour - [ ] [Table → Row-level navigation](https://design-system-git-dnywh-choreimprove-tab-focus-styles-supabase.vercel.app/design-system/docs/components/table#row-level-navigation): Tab an interactive row; inset outline (`focus-inset`) sits inside the row ### Studio - [ ] **Org home → table view** (`/organizations/_` or org projects): switch to the table layout, Tab onto a project row; inset outline sits inside the row (list/card view uses CardButton, not `focus-inset`) - [ ] **Project sidebar** (Database, Auth, Storage, …): Tab the main product nav links; ring follows the focused item (not the nested section menus like Tables / Roles) - [ ] **Storage → Files**: Tab a bucket row; same inset outline as org table rows - [ ] **Project Settings → General** (or Compute and Disk): Tab through inputs, checkboxes, switches, selects; same offset ring, no ring on mouse click - [ ] **Header ⌘K** (desktop width): Tab to the search control after Feedback; same soft brand `focus-ring` (was a thicker `ring-border-strong` before) - [ ] **Table Editor or SQL Editor tabs**: focus a tab, Tab to × if active; close shows a ring - [ ] **Light + dark**: ring stays visible against both backgrounds |

fix(studio): chip away explicit-tabindex ratchet debt (#48040)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? A11y cleanup follow-up to #47984 / [DEPR-626](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/DEPR-626). ## What is the current behavior? Studio had 82 ratcheted `supabase/require-explicit-tabindex` violations (raw `<button>` / `role="button"` without explicit `tabIndex`). ## What is the new behavior? - Explicit `tabIndex={0}` (or disabled → `-1`) on those Studio call sites across nav, `components/ui`, Database, Storage, and the remainder - Ratchet baseline cleared (**82 → 0**) and the rule **removed from the Studio ratchet** (debt is gone; ratchet is temporary) - Rule remains a shared **`warn`** for now — promoting to `error` (and sweeping www/docs/design-system) is a follow-up - Also fixed the learn/ui-library call sites that surfaced while experimenting with error promotion - Small follow-ups where making controls focusable exposed gaps: accessible names, disabled/focus consistency, focus-ring polish on To-test surfaces, home section `KeyboardSensor`, and an E2E locator tightened after `aria-label="Remove column"` Prefer migrating to `Button` from `ui` in future touch-ups; this PR takes the minimal path so Studio debt can stay at zero. ## Additional context Batches landed together so baseline conflicts stayed simple while chipping away: - Hotspots / nav (FirstLevelNav, Marketplace, AttachmentUpload, Column, Tabs, …) - `components/ui` shared - Database + Storage - Remainder **Out of scope / intentional deferrals** - Promoting `supabase/require-explicit-tabindex` to a lint **error** (follow-up after www/docs/design-system sweeps) - Tabs/Radio roving, tooltips, context menus, in-menu items - Full keyboard-accessible tab-close UX (close stays hover + `tabIndex={-1}`; context menu still closes tabs) - Data API docs links (`/project/<ref>/api` redirect) **Reviewer notes** - Rule only flags raw `<button>` / `role="button"` without a `tabIndex` prop. `Button` from `ui` already bakes this in - `tabIndex={-1}` is intentional for disabled controls, in-menu / roving-focus children, and hover-only tab close - For dnd-kit grips, put `tabIndex` **after** `{...attributes}` so it isn’t overwritten (TS2783) ### To test Use **Safari** with macOS Keyboard navigation **off** (System Settings → Keyboard). Chrome once for a sanity pass. For each surface below: Tab until the control is focused, then activate with Enter/Space where relevant. 1. **API Docs side panel** (Table Editor → open a table → **API docs**) - Floating API Docs panel — **not** `/project/<ref>/api` (that redirects to Data API docs; language ToggleGroup uses arrow keys; links are out of scope) - Left nav buttons — Tab through several and activate one; active highlight / navigation still works 2. **Integrations → Marketplace** - Enable **Integrations layout** feature preview first (avatar menu → Feature previews) - `/org/<slug>/integrations` or project integrations marketplace - “Clear all”, grid/list toggles — Tab + activate 3. **Table Editor → create a table → Columns** - Drag handles only appear while **creating** (not when editing an existing table) - Tab to grip / remove (X) / sensitive-data eye if shown 4. **Project Home** — section drag handles - Tab to a grip (visible focus ring) - Optional: Space to pick up, arrows to move, Space/Esc to drop (KeyboardSensor added) - Mouse dnd still works 5. **Storage → Policies** — expand/collapse bucket list chevron (design-system focus ring, no stuck grey open bg) 6. **Support form** (Help → Support) — attachment remove (×) and add-attachment control when visible Disabled controls should be **skipped** by Tab. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Accessibility Improvements** * Improved keyboard navigation throughout Studio by explicitly managing focus (`tabIndex`) across many interactive controls (menus, tabs, tables, charts, dialogs, navigation, and form actions). * Disabled or non-interactive controls are now removed from the tab order (or made unfocusable), while available actions remain reachable. * Ensured `type="button"` on relevant controls to prevent unintended submissions, and refined keyboard focus behavior for various toggles and copy/remove actions. * **Chores** * Updated the ESLint rule baseline configuration to match the new focus behavior. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

Migrate remaining requests to pg-meta API to use query endpoint (#47758)
## Context Migrates the remaining API requests to the pg-meta endpoint to use the query endpoint directly with the SQL from the pg-meta package. Shift old policies UI into storage since its only being used there (#47497)
## Context This is one chonky boy of a PR, but it's just re-organizing files and folders to clean things up Storage Policies have been using the old Database policy UI (the one with the Dialog), so it makes most sense to shift those files under the `Storage` folder instead of keeping them under `Database`, so it's clearer which files are being consumed by whom, and easier to clean things up as well As part of this clean up, also tore out all the RLS generation logic from the Table Editor which are no longer used as they were affected by the change in files. Deprecated + deleted any unused code too <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Enhanced the policy editor with a centralized set of reusable templates, including general table templates plus predefined Realtime and queue access templates. * Updated the table creation flow so it no longer auto-generates additional RLS policy drafts. * **Bug Fixes** * Improved the policy table header badge layout for clearer RLS/API/lock indicators. * Simplified policy preview/save behavior so only meaningful edits are reflected in the applied SQL. * Streamlined the table-creation success messaging to remove conditional failure details. * **Tests** * Updated/removal of policy and table-creation test coverage to match the new behavior. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Ivan Vasilov <vasilov.ivan@gmail.com> |

Add user flow for iceberg wrapper if api keys are rotated (#47336)
## Context We found an issue regarding Analytics Buckets and the Iceberg wrapper - upon creation of an analytics bucket, the wrapper is automatically created for the users which involves using the project's API keys as the catalog's token. However, if the user were to rotate the API keys, this will cause the wrapper to break and there's currently no clear user flow for the user to self-remediate - the only indicator they'll see is just a 403 error (e.g when trying to view the analytics bucket table via FDW on the table editor or SQL editor) ## Changes involved Am adding a user path for users to self-remediate a little, starting from the Table Editor - we'll add a contextual error message as such if we detect a 403 that's caused by an invalid token: <img width="1110" height="320" alt="Screenshot 2026-06-26 at 17 33 11" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/28ea4ce6-5b81-4217-9952-880acb02f2bd" /> We'll subsequently also float this issue up in the Analytics Bucket UI (which is linked from the contextual error above) <img width="1114" height="466" alt="Screenshot 2026-06-26 at 17 31 52" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/8d112e5b-6ecc-458b-b4dc-7e7647da3fb2" /> And users can then choose to use another API key as the catalog token <img width="585" height="246" alt="Screenshot 2026-06-26 at 17 31 56" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/3d9689a5-b18d-4f07-a5a5-d882e41c5958" /> The warning will thereafter go away, and users will be able to query the FDW again via Table Editor or SQL Editor ## To test - [ ] Create an analytics bucket, set up a table and foreign schema (via Query via Postgres) - [ ] Insert some data, or verify that you can view the iceberg table from the Table Editor - [ ] Now rotate your API secret key (delete the old, create a new) - [ ] Verify that you'll run into that error if you view the iceberg table from the Table Editor - [ ] Follow the flow -> Go to the Analytics Bucket UI to update the catalog token - [ ] Verify that thereafter, you can view the iceberg table again from the Table Editor <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added clearer Iceberg/analytics bucket setup prompts for missing, outdated, or uninstalled wrappers. * Added an “Update catalog token” dialog and a collapsible “View error” troubleshooting UI. * **Bug Fixes** * Improved detection of Iceberg authorization failures and now shows a more specific error with guidance. * Warn users when the saved catalog token no longer matches available API keys. * Enhanced post-update refresh behavior so updated token values display correctly. * **Documentation** * Clarified vault token description to indicate it may be a secret or service role key. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

chore: refactor Button API so that it can be used a standard button (#46880)
## Problem Our `<Button>` component breaks the default `button` contract by redefining the `type` prop to set its variant (`primary`, `default`, etc) instead of the button type (`submit`, `button`, etc). chore: wrap local storage into helper methods that are safer (#46628)
## I have read the [CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) file. YES ## What kind of change does this PR introduce? - Noticing our code we have many patterns of calling localstorage and handling those errors - We should add those in a single well tested file - Handle those errors in the singleton which makes it easier for us to debug customer issues. Logger is outputing local storage warnings for feature we expose - Side effect of this is random crashes on studio when local storage isn't available or handled correctly <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Refactor** * Improved browser storage handling across the app for more reliable persistence and graceful behavior in restricted or non-browser environments (settings, previews, charts, tabs, sign-in/session flows, integrations, and UI state). * **New Features** * Introduced a safe storage layer to standardize and harden local/session persistence. * **Tests** * Added comprehensive tests covering the new safe storage behavior. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

chore(studio): migrate useStaticEffectEvent to React 19 useEffectEvent (#46415)
Studio is on `react@^19.2.6`, and `useEffectEvent` shipped stable in React 19.2 with the same signature as the userland polyfill. This drops the local hook in `apps/studio` and `apps/www` in favor of the built-in. **Removed:** - `apps/studio/hooks/useStaticEffectEvent.ts` - `apps/www/hooks/useStaticEffectEvent.ts` - `.claude/skills/use-static-effect-event/` — skill is obsolete **Changed:** - 26 call sites: dropped the `useStaticEffectEvent` import, added `useEffectEvent` to the existing `react` import, renamed call sites - `.claude/CLAUDE.md`: `apps/studio` row updated React 18 → React 19 - `.claude/skills/vercel-composition-patterns/SKILL.md`: removed stale "Studio uses React 18, skip these patterns" warning ## To test - `pnpm typecheck --filter=studio` — passes locally - `pnpm typecheck --filter=www` — passes locally - `grep -rn "useStaticEffectEvent"` returns nothing outside `node_modules` - Smoke-test areas that use the hook: schema visualizer edges (intersection check), spreadsheet import, sign-in/CLI login flows, side panels with unsaved-changes prompts **Out of scope:** pre-existing Tailwind lint warning on `DefaultEdge.tsx:141` (`outline` + `outline-1` conflict) — unrelated to this migration <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Refactor** * Internal event handling migrated to React’s built-in event hooks across the Studio app; no user-facing changes. * **Documentation** * Clarified React 19 compatibility and noted Studio now targets React 19. * Removed obsolete documentation for a deprecated internal hook. <!-- review_stack_entry_start --> [](https://app.coderabbit.ai/change-stack/supabase/supabase/pull/46415?utm_source=github_walkthrough&utm_medium=github&utm_campaign=change_stack) <!-- review_stack_entry_end --> <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Alaister Young <10985857+alaister@users.noreply.github.com> |

refactor(studio): migrate telemetry to useTrack (#46140)
## Summary
I migrated every `useSendEventMutation` call site in `apps/studio` to
`useTrack`, deleted the legacy hook, and added a lint guardrail so it
can't return. `useTrack` is the type-safe replacement: it auto-injects
`groups: { project, organization }` from the selected project/org and
types `action` + `properties` against `TelemetryEvent`. Existing call
sites built groups manually and were not type-checked at the action
level. The migration covers 81 files (60 trivial swaps, 9 org-only, 3
pre-auth, 5 bespoke, 4 test mocks).
## Changes
- Migrated trivial call sites across `pages/project/[ref]`,
`components/interfaces/*` (Reports, Storage, Realtime/Inspector,
SQLEditor, Functions, EdgeFunctions, Integrations, ProjectAPIDocs,
Branching/BranchManagement, TableGridEditor, Connect, Docs, Auth,
Support, Home, ProjectHome, App), `components/layouts/*`, and
`components/ui/*`.
- Migrated org-only sites (`Organization/Documents/*`,
`Organization/BillingSettings/Subscription/*`,
`Organization/SecuritySettings.tsx`,
`Account/Preferences/DashboardSettingsToggles.tsx`) by dropping the
manual `groups: { organization: ... }` and letting `useTrack`
auto-inject. Verified `useSelectedProjectQuery` is disabled on org
routes (gates on URL `[ref]`).
- Migrated pre-auth sites (`SignInForm.tsx`, `sign-in-mfa.tsx`,
`profile.tsx`) where neither project nor org is resolved.
- Bespoke handling:
- `execute-sql-mutation.ts` and `table-row-create-mutation.ts`: pass `{
project: projectRef }` via `groupOverrides` since the mutation can
target a non-selected project ref.
- `useStudioCommandMenuTelemetry.ts`: kept a direct `sendTelemetryEvent`
call because studio groups must override pre-built event groups
(opposite of `useTrack`'s override direction).
- `AIAssistantOption.tsx`: passes sentinel-aware `groupOverrides` so
`NO_PROJECT_MARKER`/`NO_ORG_MARKER` continue to suppress group emission.
- `SidePanelEditor.utils.tsx`: utility functions `createTable` and
`updateTable` now take a `track: Track` parameter (threaded from
`SidePanelEditor.tsx`); dropped the `organizationSlug` arg since groups
are no longer assembled manually.
- Branch-event attribution: preserved `parentProjectRef` overrides on
`branch_updated`, `branch_merge_completed`, `branch_merge_failed`,
`branch_merge_submitted`, `branch_delete_button_clicked`,
`branch_review_with_assistant_clicked`, and
`branch_*_merge_request_button_clicked`. Original code grouped these
under the parent (production) project, not the branch ref;
auto-injection would have shifted them onto the branch.
- Switched 4 test mocks from `@/data/telemetry/send-event-mutation` to
`@/lib/telemetry/track`. Removed obsolete tests around manual groups and
`try/catch` on telemetry rejection.
- Deleted `apps/studio/data/telemetry/send-event-mutation.ts`. The
deleted module is its own guardrail: any reintroduction of the import
fails at TypeScript module resolution before lint runs.
## Testing
Tested on preview deploy:
- [x] SQL editor `CREATE TABLE` fires `table_created` with method
`sql_editor` and `groups.project` set to the mutation's `projectRef`.
- [x] Table editor creates a table from the side panel; `table_created`
fires from `SidePanelEditor.utils` via threaded `track`.
- [x] Help button (`/project/[ref]/...`) fires `help_button_clicked`
with auto-injected project + org groups.
- [x] Sign-in form fires `sign_in` with empty groups (pre-auth,
expected).
- [x] Org documents page (`/org/[slug]/documents`) fires
`document_view_button_clicked` with org group only, no stale project
ref.
- [x] Command menu (`Cmd+K`) inside a project still fires
`command_menu_opened` with studio's project/org overriding any
event-supplied groups.
- [x] Support form "Ask the Assistant" without selected org fires
`ai_assistant_in_support_form_clicked` with no project/org groups
(sentinels suppress).
- [x] On a branch, "Update branch" / "Merge branch" / "Close merge
request" events fire with `groups.project` set to the parent project
ref, not the branch ref.
Local checks:
- [x] 22/22 tests pass across the 4 updated test files
(`SidePanelEditor.utils.createTable`, `EdgeFunctionRenderer`,
`LayoutSidebar`, `PlanUpdateSidePanel`).
- [x] `rg useSendEventMutation apps/studio` returns 0 hits.

studio: clarify storage bucket upgrade message for Pro users on Nano compute (#46008)
## Summary Vector and analytics bucket access is gated by both the org's plan tier and the project's compute size, but the storage config API only returns a single `enabled: false` flag. The empty state always told users to "Upgrade to Pro" — including users who were already on Pro with Nano compute, leaving them no obvious path forward. `BucketsUpgradePlan` now reads the org plan and the project's `infra_compute_size`. When the user is on a paid plan but still on Nano compute, the message becomes "Upgrade your project's compute size to Micro or larger…" and the button is wired through `UpgradePlanButton`'s existing `addon='computeSize'` route to `/settings/compute-and-disk`. Free plan users keep the existing copy and upgrade flow. Closes FE-3383. ## Test plan - [ ] Free org, Nano compute, navigate to `/storage/vectors`: still shows "Upgrade to Pro" with the billing link - [ ] Pro org, Nano compute, navigate to `/storage/vectors`: shows the compute-size message and the button navigates to compute-and-disk settings - [ ] Pro org, Micro+ compute: page renders the actual Vector buckets UI (unchanged) - [ ] Same flows on `/storage/analytics` <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added a regional limitation notice for Vector Buckets with an informational "Coming soon" empty state and tooltip listing available regions. * **Bug Fixes** * Storage bucket upgrade prompts now show context-aware messaging based on organization plan and project settings, guiding users to the correct upgrade path. * **Refactor** * Region-gating UI logic consolidated into a shared component for clearer messaging and maintenance. <!-- review_stack_entry_start --> [](https://app.coderabbit.ai/change-stack/supabase/supabase/pull/46008?utm_source=github_walkthrough&utm_medium=github&utm_campaign=change_stack) <!-- review_stack_entry_end --> <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Joshen Lim <joshenlimek@gmail.com> |

The `ReportQuery.sql` field flips from `string` to `SafeSqlFragment`, which cascades into every consumer — landed here atomically so each branch typechecks cleanly. Touched areas: - `interfaces/Reports/*` — `ReportQuery.sql: SafeSqlFragment`, plus all report definitions/utilities updated - `interfaces/QueryPerformance/useQueryPerformanceQuery.ts` - `interfaces/Database/IndexAdvisor/*` and `data/database/{table-index-advisor,retrieve-index-advisor-result}-query.ts` - `data/privileges/{table-api-access,update-exposed-entities}-mutation.ts` - `interfaces/Storage/StoragePolicies/StoragePolicies.tsx` - `hooks/analytics/useDbQuery.tsx` - `Observability/useSlowQueriesCount.ts` + `useQueryInsightsIssues.utils.test.ts` ## Test plan - [x] `pnpm typecheck` passes - [x] `useQueryInsightsIssues.utils.test.ts` passes - [x] Dev-server smoke test: reports pages, query performance, index advisor, storage policies <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Refactor** * Reworked SQL construction and typings across reporting, query performance, index advisor, and privilege features to use safer SQL fragments, improving reliability and preventing query composition issues. * **Types** * Reporting query types were split to distinguish database vs. logs queries, enabling correct handling and validation. * **Docs/Utils** * Added a helper to consistently generate logs SQL for report hooks. * **Tests** * Updated tests to exercise the new SQL-building API. <!-- review_stack_entry_start --> [](https://app.coderabbit.ai/change-stack/supabase/supabase/pull/45998) <!-- review_stack_entry_end --> <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

fix storage policy warning spacing (#45910)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Bug fix. ## What is the current behavior? The Storage public bucket warning confirmation modal can render `SELECTpolicy` without a space. The source relied on implicit JSX whitespace after an inline `<code>` element, and that whitespace can be normalised away when React renders the sentence. ## What is the new behavior? The modal now renders an explicit JSX space after the `SELECT` code element, so the sentence reads `SELECT policy`. | Before | After | | --- | --- | | <img width="860" height="666" alt="CleanShot 2026-05-14 at 14 31 36@2x-2B492E39-5CB4-4D4D-A409-0F0AF268E108" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/683cc8c7-c112-411e-9569-de3be2a1d906" /> | <img width="858" height="668" alt="CleanShot 2026-05-14 at 15 08 08@2x" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/e9a28bb0-9977-4da9-aecb-d4fa56dff368" /> | ## Additional context Testing instructions: 1. Open the staging link. 2. Open the SQL Editor and run: ```sql insert into storage.buckets (id, name, public) values ('public-warning-repro', 'public-warning-repro', true) on conflict (id) do update set public = true; drop policy if exists "public warning broad select repro" on storage.objects; create policy "public warning broad select repro" on storage.objects for select to anon, authenticated using (bucket_id = 'public-warning-repro'); ``` 3. Navigate to Storage > `public-warning-repro`. 4. Click `Remove policy` on the warning banner. 5. Confirm the modal says `This will drop the SELECT policy...`, not `SELECTpolicy`. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Style** * Improved wording and inline code styling in the public bucket destructive confirmation modal for clearer, more readable messaging; visual presentation updated without changing behavior or confirmation logic. <!-- review_stack_entry_start --> [](https://app.coderabbit.ai/change-stack/supabase/supabase/pull/45910) <!-- review_stack_entry_end --> <!-- review_stack_entry_start --> [](https://app.coderabbit.ai/change-stack/supabase/supabase/pull/45910) <!-- review_stack_entry_end --> <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

feat(storage): add keyboard shortcuts for storage screens (#45837)
## Summary
Adds keyboard shortcuts to the Storage section, mirroring the
conventions already established for Auth Users and Database pages:
- **Storage navigation chords** (`S, F` / `S, A` / `S, V` / `S, 3`)
active only inside `StorageLayout`.
- **Files (bucket list) page** shortcuts for search, create, refresh,
reset filters, reset sort.
- **Storage Explorer** shortcuts for upload, new folder, view toggle,
refresh, search, multi-select download/move/delete, and an Escape
ladder.
- `ShortcutTooltip` wired into the relevant buttons so users can
discover keybinds on hover.
- Reload spinner is now driven by a shared store flag, so it shows
whether you click the button or fire the shortcut.
## Test plan
### Storage navigation chords
Active anywhere under `/project/<ref>/storage/*`.
| Keybind | Action |
|---------|--------|
| `S` then `F` | Go to Files |
| `S` then `A` | Go to Analytics buckets (platform + feature-flagged) |
| `S` then `V` | Go to Vector buckets (platform + feature-flagged) |
| `S` then `3` | Go to S3 settings (platform only) |
### Files (bucket list) page
At `/project/<ref>/storage/files`.
| Keybind | Action | Notes |
|---------|--------|-------|
| `Shift+F` | Focus search ("Search buckets") | Selects existing text |
| `Shift+N` | Create new bucket | Opens the create-bucket modal |
| `F` then `C` | Reset filters | Clears the search string |
| `Shift+R` | Refresh buckets | Refetches the bucket list |
| `S` then `C` | Reset bucket sort | Only fires when sort ≠ default
(Created at) |
### Storage Explorer (inside a bucket)
At `/project/<ref>/storage/files/buckets/<bucketId>`.
| Keybind | Action | Notes |
|---------|--------|-------|
| `Shift+F` | Focus search ("Search files") | Opens the search input if
hidden, then focuses |
| `Shift+R` | Refresh | Refetches all opened folders; spinner reflects
state |
| `I` then `F` | Upload files | Disabled w/o ` STORAGE_WRITE ` or at
bucket root with no folder |
| `I` then `N` | Create folder | Same permission gates as Upload |
| `V` then `C` | View as columns | |
| `V` then `L` | View as list | |
| `Shift+D` | Download selected | Only fires when ≥1 item selected;
single vs many handled |
| `Shift+M` | Move selected | Only fires when ≥1 item selected AND `
STORAGE_WRITE ` granted |
| `Mod+Backspace` | Delete selected | Only fires when ≥1 item selected
(` Mod ` = ⌘ on macOS / ` Ctrl ` on Win/Linux) |
| `Escape` | Clear selection | If ≥1 item selected |
| `Escape` | Close file preview | If no selection and preview pane open
|
| `Escape` | Close search | If no selection, no preview, and search is
open |
### Tips while testing
- [x] Chords (two-key sequences): press the first key, release, then
press the second key within ~1s
- [x] Hover any wired button (search, Refresh, Upload, Create folder,
View, Download, Move, Delete, the bucket Create button, sidebar items)
to see the keybind in a tooltip
- [x] Most actions also appear under "Shortcuts" in `Cmd+P`
- [x] Chords starting with a plain letter (` S, F ` / ` I, F ` / ` V, C
` / ` F, C ` / ` S, C `) won't fire while typing in an input — click out
first
- [x] `Escape` does fire from inside the search field (closes the
search)
- [x] `Cmd+/` opens the full shortcuts reference
