Joshen Lim 0b97e0ff86 Joshen/fe 2642 project settings allow to select a replica to power (#43626)
## Context

Related to dashboard scalability
Previous PR: https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/42856

Note: Changes are all feature flagged still and I'm still not entirely
convinced with the current UX
Will iterate as as go along, and only make this publicly available when
we're satisfied with the behaviour

Adds a "Dashboard preference" section to the project settings
<img width="265" height="740" alt="image"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/6ce1aa19-26c2-47c6-a9c4-595137266631"
/>

In which users can then select which database they'd like to use for
read queries run from the dashboard
Note: Everything is local storage for now, but we'd need middleware
support if we want to make this setting persist for all users on the
project
<img width="791" height="434" alt="image"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/e651d6d9-fed4-4da4-b552-c9f93f8d46d3"
/>

Added a dialog as well to further explain what this implies
<img width="610" height="312" alt="image"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/0aa957af-cb51-476f-aa79-8948a7cbe5ae"
/>

## To test

- Choosing a replica in dashboard preferences will only affect the table
editor as thats the only place that's set up so far to use a replica for
read queries (I'll need to follow up for other parts of the dashboard in
subsequent PRs)

Danny WhiteandJoshen Lim a753a599ea feat(studio): page titles for logs and observability (#43535)
Stacked PR 3/5 for page title improvements. Includes Logs and
Observability layout title adoption, unified logs title cleanup, and
small route title fixes.

_Base:

## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

- Resolves FE-1960
- Resolves FE-1983
- Resolves DEPR-207

## What is the current behavior?

Page titles between surfaces are inconsistent and vague. Sometimes they
say the product name:

```
My Project | My Org | Supabase
```

...even when on a specific surface like Database > Tables.

Other times they show the entity name but skip over the project or org
name :

```
Edge Functions | Supabase
```

## What is the new behavior?

Logs and Observability adopts the layout title format introduced in
https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/43538:

```
users | Table Editor | My Project | My Org | Supabase
hello-world | Logs | Edge Functions | My Project | My Org | Supabase
Backups | Database | My Project | My Org | Supabase
Authentication | My Project | My Org | Supabase
```

That format is:

entity, section, surface, project, org, brand.

Also includes unified logs title cleanup, and small route title fixes.

Ignacio Dobronich 60a2a5e092 chore: observability dashboard entitlements (#43502)
## Changes
- Replaces plan ID-based chart gating with entitlement-based checks
across all observability pages (database, auth, realtime,
edge-functions)
- Adds requiredPlan display field so the upsell shows the correct target
plan (e.g. "Upgrade to Team" for disk throughput, not just "Upgrade")
- Decouples database-charts.ts from Organization Plan, now accepts
pre-computed entitlement flags instead

### Note on `requiredPlan`
The entitlement system currently tells us whether a user has access, but
not what plan they need to get access. `requiredPlan` is a frontend-only
display hint. Ideally the backend entitlement response would include a
minimumPlan field so we can remove this hardcoded mapping. For now, this
is a pragmatic workaround to avoid misleading upsell copy (e.g. a Free
user seeing "Upgrade" for a Team-only feature and landing on Pro).

## Testing

### Database
- Head to `/project/_/observability/database` with an Org on the Free
Plan and assert that the Disk throughput is gated.

Charis 2541d58fb1 feat(studio): add /api/status-override endpoint for status page banner override (#43641)
New feature — adds a platform-only API endpoint to Studio.

## What is the current behavior?

`NEXT_PUBLIC_ONGOING_INCIDENT` is not exposed outside of the dashboard.

## What is the new behavior?

`GET /api/status-override` returns `{ enabled: boolean }` indicating
whether `NEXT_PUBLIC_ONGOING_INCIDENT` is set to `"true"`. The endpoint
returns 404 on self-hosted and is added to the proxy allowlist for
hosted platform access.

This is so that the incident banner bot can detect whether an override
is in place.

Joshen LimandKaterina Skroumpelou 9949b75011 Joshen/fe 2670 dashboard to pull partner integrations into project (#43545)
## Context

Initial ground work for Marketplace Integrations (feature flagged under
the flag `marketplaceIntegrations`), in which some integrations will be
fetched over a network request (than hard-coded within the repo).
Feature flag just controls whether to we need to fetch them.

Similarly, categories under "Explore" will also be fetched, and the flag
just decides whether that should be enabled.

We're also planning to update the overview tab for integrations as well,
in which integrations fetched over the network request will use the new
UI (altho not functional just yet)

## To test
Note that the LOC changes are seemingly large, but that's just because
I've added in a types file for the Supabase project that we're using to
store the integrations data
- [x] Verify that behaviour is status quo with the flag off (Priority)
- [x] Verify that behaviour is status quo on CLI / self-host env
- [x] Verify that with the flag on you'll see one of the new
integrations fetched over network (Grafana), including an additional
category "Observability" (and clicking into it will show the new UI)
- [x] Verify that all other existing integrations are status quo

Gildas Garcia 87581e02cb fix: Prevent users from loosing changes when navigating away (#43577)
## Problem

When editing email templates or edge functions, users may navigate away
from the page without a warning indicating they may loose their changes.

This is because we only handle the `beforeunload` event when we should
also handle NextJS routing events.
This is actually done for the observability reports.

## Solution

Extract the logic from the observability reports into a reusable
component and use it where needed

## How to test

On staging, for each case:
- Authentication email templates
- Observability reports
- Edge functions creation
- Edge functions edition

Test:
- Modify the template/report/function
- Navigate away using either the sidebar link, the browser back button
or closing the tab
- Cancel navigation in the confirmation dialog
- Navigation should be prevented and you should not loose your changes

Test:
- Modify the template/report/function
- Navigate away using either the sidebar link, the browser back button
or closing the tab
- Confirm navigation in the confirmation dialog
- Navigation should not be prevented and you should have lost your
changes

Pamela Chia 01c178e159 chore(studio): graduate homeNew experiment (#43437)
## Summary

The `homeNew` PostHog experiment has concluded. This PR graduates it by
making the new homepage (`ProjectHome`, formerly `HomeV2`) the permanent
default for all users, and removes all dead code from the old
experiment.

## Changes

- Remove `homeNew` PostHog feature flag checks and `home_new` experiment
exposure tracking from 3 files
- Rename `HomeNew/` → `ProjectHome/` directory and `HomeV2` →
`ProjectHome` export
- Delete old `Home/Home.tsx` component (shared components like
`ProjectList/` are kept — still used by org pages)
- Delete `pages/project/[ref]/building.tsx` and add a server-side
redirect from `/project/:ref/building` → `/project/:ref` to prevent 404s
during rollout (old cached JS bundles may still route to `/building`)
- Simplify `ContentWrapper` building-state logic in `ProjectLayout` —
always redirect building projects to home, always suppress building
interstitial on home page
- Always route to `/project/{ref}` after project creation (remove
`/building` path)
- Update all Observability imports from `HomeNew` → `ProjectHome`

## Self-hosted behavior change

Self-hosted Studio previously showed the old `Home` component (client
libraries + example projects) since PostHog flags don't load. This PR
changes self-hosted to show `ProjectHome` (TopSection with service
status + instance diagram, advisor, custom reports). All sections query
backend APIs that exist on self-hosted. E2E tests pass against the
self-hosted build.

## Testing

- [x] `pnpm turbo run build --filter=studio` passes
- [x] No remaining references to `homeNew`, `home_new`, or `HomeNew` in
codebase
- [x] No broken imports to deleted files
- [x] Self-hosted E2E tests pass (145 passed, 1 flaky, 4 skipped)
- [x] `/building` redirect added to both platform and self-hosted config
blocks

**Quick test:**
1. Navigate to any project homepage — should render the ProjectHome
component
2. Create a new project — should redirect to `/project/{ref}` (not
`/building`)
3. Visit a project in `COMING_UP` state on a non-home route — should
redirect to home
4. Visit `/project/{ref}/building` directly — should 302 redirect to
`/project/{ref}`

Charis 8732fc3bd9 fix: add multi-object download signing for storage (#43576)
Bug fix

## What is the current behavior?

Read-only users cannot download files because the download feature
requires minting a temporary API key, which is properly blocked for
read-only users.

## What is the new behavior?

Instead of using temporary API keys, we now create signed URLs for the
files to be downloaded. We batch-create signed URLs for an entire
folder's worth of files, requiring only a single management API call,
then use those signed URLs to download the files. This allows read-only
users to download files without needing elevated permissions.

kemal.earthandClaude Sonnet 4.6 9b028f6fd5 feat(studio): map error codes to docs (#43140)
## I have read the

file.

YES

## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

This introduces a small snippet preview of the error code coming via our
content API for the docs. This appears in a couple of places right now.

- **Auth Overview** - This page isn't fully released yet, but it appears
on the error codes table (as depicted below).
- **Logs** - When you delve into the logs panel, if there's an error
code available, they're also wrapped in this popover.

We are also working on a shared-data package (#43458) to potentially
replace this endpoint internally. Also introduces a multifaceted button
to debug/fix with either Assistant or LLM of choice.

Sean Oliver 96f776fc63 graduate auto-RLS project creation experiment (test variant wins) (#43499)
## Problem

The `projectCreationEnableRlsEventTrigger` A/B experiment tested showing
an opt-in "Enable automatic RLS" checkbox in the project creation flow,
which sets up a Postgres event trigger to auto-enable RLS on every new
table in the public schema. The test variant passed with a +3.3pp lift.

## Changes

- `SecurityOptions.tsx` — removed PostHog flag check, checkbox is now
always rendered
- `pages/new/[slug].tsx` — removed experiment flag reads, exposure
tracking (`useTrackExperimentExposure`), and the conditional
`rlsOptionVariant` telemetry property

The underlying feature logic (`enableRlsEventTrigger` form field,
`AUTO_ENABLE_RLS_EVENT_TRIGGER_SQL`, submission handling) is unchanged —
we're just removing the scaffolding that was gating it.

## Testing

Verified `pnpm typecheck` passes clean. The "Enable automatic RLS"
checkbox now shows unconditionally in the Security Options section of
project creation.

Joshen Lim 9b0dc8d9b9 Chore/fix storage explorer when switching buckets (#43541)
## Context

Taking a slightly different approach to [this
PR](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/43370)

Original problem was that if you opened some folders while in a bucket
and then switched to a different bucket, the folder UI will persists
(folders from Bucket A will render when landing on Bucket B)

## Changes involved
- Shift `StorageExplorerStateContextProvider` into `[bucketId].tsx]`
instead of `ProjectContext`
- The valtio store here only applies for the storage explorer so having
it so high in the project's context was unnecessary
- This also just implies that the valtio store will automatically reset
whenever the bucket changes
- Simplify storage explorer valtio store by initializing the store with
the bucket
- We'll initialize the selected bucket with the store now (Same as
previous PR)
- Removes unnecessary `setSelectedBucket` method which required a
separate `useEffect` in `StorageExplorer.tsx`

## To test
- [ ] Verify that the original is resolved
- [ ] General smoke test of the storage explorer - i've also re-added
the e2e test that Gildas wrote up in his PR

Danny White 706207436f chore(studio): move organization settings nav to sidebar layout (#43228)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

UI change

## What is the current behavior?

Organization settings are currently spread across a NavMenu. This is
getting unweildy as the amount of children within Organization settings
grows.

## What is the new behavior?

Organization settings are now on a sidebar, just like Project Settings
and most other surfaces.

Raminder SinghandJoshen Lim ca7ba8f564 feat: improve stripe sync engine page behaviour (#43186)
* Moved sync status admonition to the settings page.
* The **Install integration** and **Uninstall integration** buttons now
show loading states during installation/uninstallation.
* Made the content of the `StripeSyncChangesCard` dynamic based on the
installation status.
* Fixed a bug in which the comment on the stripe schema was not parsed
correctly.

Screenshots for each state:

The idea behind these changes is that in future:

* We allow users to configure sync interval from the settings page.
* The overview page is mainly for the install/uninstall behaviour only,
rest everything goes to the settings page.
* We can show more granular progress during install/uninstall by showing
what is being installed/uninstalled: migrations are running, edge
functions are being deployed and so on.
* We can show more accurate error messages: migrations succeeded but
edge functions could not be deployed. This helps users troubleshoot and
in the worst case recover via manual actions.

Charis 5a01291c23 feat(studio): smart incident banner targeting (#43112)
Feature enhancement — smarter incident banner targeting logic

## What is the current behavior?

Displaying the incident banner requires toggling a flag or environment
variable. Banners are shown to all users regardless of whether their
projects are in affected regions or whether the incident affects project
creation.

## What is the new behavior?

Banner visibility is now driven by `show_banner` metadata from the
StatusPage API — no manual flag or env var toggle needed. Per-user
targeting is then applied:
- Users with projects only see the banner when they have a database in
an affected region
- Users without projects only see the banner when the incident affects
project creation

Incident responses are enriched with cache data (`affected_regions`,
`affects_project_creation`) fetched from a Supabase table. Visibility
logic is extracted into a dedicated hook and pure utility function,
backed by unit tests.

## Additional context

I wonder if this is overkill given most folks only have 1–2 projects.
Some ideas:

- Only sortable in table view via column headers
- Conditional rendering for folks with 2+ projects
- Opt-in feature
- Feature-flag

I’ve opted to make it global and synced for now.

Illia BasalaievandIllia Basalaiev 6fa7e3517a improve PITR message on scheduled backups (#43132)
## I have read the
[CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md)
file.

YES

## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

studio message update

## What is the current behavior?

Under the scheduled backups
dashboard/project/_/database/backups/scheduled, the current message is
"Your project uses PITR and full daily backups are no longer taken.
They're not needed, as PITR supports a superset of functionality, in
terms of the granular recovery that can be performed."

The new message mainly addresses the word "superset" since it implies no
trade-offs. However, having teams/enterprise plan, customers lose access
to 2+ weeks of daily backups and are only limited by the selected PITR
recovery duration. New message: "Your project uses PITR, and full daily
backups are no longer taken. PITR lets you restore to a specific time
(down to the second) within your selected PITR retention period."

Ivan Vasilov 637b6fb792 chore: update react-resizable-panels to v4 to support pixel width (#42990)
This pull request standardizes the usage of props and value types for
the `ResizablePanelGroup` and `ResizablePanel` components across
multiple files in the codebase. Specifically, it replaces the deprecated
`direction` prop with `orientation`, and updates numeric prop values
(such as `defaultSize`, `minSize`, and `maxSize`) to be passed as
strings. This ensures consistency with the updated component API and
improves type safety.

**Component API Updates:**

* Replaced the `direction` prop with `orientation` for all usages of
`ResizablePanelGroup`
* Updated all `ResizablePanel` props (`defaultSize`, `minSize`,
`maxSize`) to be passed as strings instead of numbers, ensuring
compatibility with the latest API requirements.
* Removed deprecated or unnecessary props such as `order` from
`ResizablePanel` components, and ensured all size-related props are
consistently formatted as strings.

Vaibhav f8419ef9ae Fix: SQL Editor browser back button navigation (#43043)
## Problem
The SQL Editor had a browser navigation issue where pressing the back
button would get stuck in a redirect loop between `/sql` and `/sql/new`,
making it difficult to navigate away from the SQL Editor using standard
browser controls.

## Solution
Changed automatic redirects from `router.push()` to `router.replace()`
in the SQL Editor routing logic.
This prevents adding unwanted history entries during automatic
navigation, allowing the back button to work as expected.

Matt Rossman 3fcb6cbe2c fix(studio): pass providerOptions to all AI SDK calls (#43031)
`reasoningEffort: 'minimal'` was
[configured](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/d5cc70560d/apps/studio/lib/ai/model.utils.ts#L55-L59)
in the provider registry but `getModel()` returns it as a separate value
that callers must destructure and forward — and 7 of 8 endpoints weren't
doing so. This meant `gpt-5-mini` (a reasoning model) was running at
default reasoning effort for every call.

This PR destructures `providerOptions` from `getModel()` and passes it
to `generateObject`/`generateText` in all affected endpoints.

## Benchmark (local, median of 5 runs)

| Endpoint | Before (s) | After (s) | Speedup |
|----------|-----------|----------|---------|
| title-v2 | 7.0 | 1.9 | 3.7x |
| cron-v2 | 2.3 | 0.9 | 2.6x |
| filter-v1 | 5.8 | 2.2 | 2.6x |
| feedback/classify | 3.5 | 0.9 | 3.9x |
| feedback/rate | 2.9 | 0.9 | 3.2x |

`code/complete` and `policy` also received the fix but aren't
benchmarked here as they require a live DB connection and use multi-step
tool calls (separate latency concern tracked in AI-419).

To test the SQL naming, visit the SQL Editor in sidebar, add some SQL
like:

```sql
create table todos (
  id serial primary key,
  task text not null,
Raminder SinghandJoshen Lim 3d14b5e7bf fix: show uninstall progress (#42860)
This PR makes the following changes:
* Refactors the Stripe sync engine integration so that impossible states
are unrepresentable in the code.
* Factors out common code and functions into a single location to avoid
duplication.
* Factors out code to fetch installation/uninstallation and sync status
into a separate hook to make the code more readable.
* Shows uninstall progress when the user uninstalls the integration.
* Moves the **Uninstall integration** button from the **Settings** page
to the **Overview** page. This is done to avoid us having to track the
uninstallation progress via the url query params when the user is
redirected to the **Overview** page during uninstallation. Also it makes
sense for installation/uninstallation to be available on the same
location.
Note that even with the above changes there are some limitations to how
the uninstallation progress is shown. In particular, if the user
refreshes the page, the uninstallation status is lost because the
background uninstallation procedure currently doesn't update the comment
on the stripe schema during uninstallation. We are making a change in
the stripe sync engine code for that here:
https://github.com/stripe-experiments/sync-engine/pull/113
Matt Rossman e8ab92408f feat(assistant): enable Braintrust tracing for non-sensitive chats (#42963)
Enables Braintrust tracing for AI Assistant chats to support debugging
and future online evals.
**Code Changes**
- Wraps `generateAssistantResponse` in a Braintrust `traced()` span,
logging the user's latest message as input along with metadata
(`chatId`, `chatName`, `projectRef`, `userId`, `orgId`, `planId`, etc.)
- Threads JWT claims from `apiWrapper` → handler to log `userId` in
Braintrust without an extra API call (+ expanded `apiWrapper` tests)
- Threads `orgId` and `planId` from `getOrgAIDetails` to log in
Braintrust
**Infrastructure Changes**
- Created a "Vercel" service account in Braintrust
- Added `BRAINTRUST_API_KEY` and `BRAINTRUST_PROJECT_ID` env vars to the
studio-staging project in Vercel using a service token for the above
service account
- Added an "Overview" view to the Logs tab in the Braintrust Assistant
project to surface the new metadata
**Precautions**
- HIPAA sensitive projects are excluded from logging (see
https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/42787 for the detection logic)
- Production is temporarily excluded from logging until we're confident
in the setup
**Testing steps**
- Chat with the AI Assistant in the [studio-staging preview
build](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/42963#issuecomment-3917178023)
below
- Visit the [Logs tab in the Braintrust Assistant
Joshen LimandAli Waseem e125ad7ff6 Chore/deprecate use query state with select part 03 (#42734)
## Context
Related to FE-2461
More refactoring to clean up usage of `useQueryStateWithSelect`, mainly
in the database pages
- Roles
- Triggers
- Functions
- Enumerated Types
## To test
In each of those pages, verify that
- [ ] Clicking the "new" cta updates the URL params, and refreshing
should re-open the sheet
- [ ] Editing an existing item should update URL params, and refreshing
should re-open the sheet with the right item
- Verify that if the URL param has the wrong id, page should not open
the sheet, show a toast, and reset the URL param
- [ ] Deleting an existing item should update URL params, and refreshing
should re-open the sheet with the right item
- Verify that if the URL param has the wrong id, page should not open
the sheet, show a toast, and reset the URL param
Matt Rossman 2fc062a725 feat(assistant): detect HIPAA customers in assistant logic (#42787)
Detects HIPAA customers server-side in the assistant code path. Threads
`isHipaaEnabled` boolean through `getOrgAIDetails` → `generate-v4` →
`generateAssistantResponse`. The motivation is to support online evals
down the road, where we'll want to exclude HIPAA projects from Assistant
tracing.
This PR follows existing patterns for checking if HIPAA is enabled for a
project (org has HIPAA addon + project is sensitive). Example
[[1]](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/a5dd0a96716561443778f38a518b61d6cac95c19/apps/studio/components/interfaces/Settings/Addons/Addons.tsx#L75),
[[2]](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/6858d4e18d9359d573fe3dff73bc4e5fa1cfe219/apps/studio/hooks/misc/useOrgOptedIntoAi.ts#L69).
```ts
const hasHipaaAddon = subscriptionHasHipaaAddon(subscription) && settings?.is_sensitive
```
(I call it `isHipaaEnabled` in this PR to avoid it being misunderstood
as just the org-level addon, rather it's a combo of that addon being
present AND high compliance being enabled on the project).
### Verification steps
<details><summary>Click to view the steps I followed to sanity check it
works with the local stack</summary>
Tested locally with `mise fullstack`:
1. Found my org's subscription ID:
   ```sh
docker exec platform-db-1 psql -U postgres -c "SELECT id, customer_id,
status FROM orb.subscriptions;"
   ```
2. Added HIPAA addon to it:
   ```sh
   docker exec platform-db-1 psql -U postgres -c "
     UPDATE orb.subscriptions
SET price_intervals = price_intervals || '[{\"price\": {\"unit_config\":
{\"unit_amount\": \"350.00\"}, \"external_price_id\":
\"addon_security_hipaa\", \"item\": {\"name\": \"HIPAA\"}}}]'::jsonb
     WHERE id = '<subscription_id>';"
   ```
2. Toggled on High Compliance (Project Settings → General)
3. Added a temporary log after `getOrgAIDetails` in `generate-v4.ts`:
   ```ts
   console.log('[HIPAA]', { isHipaaEnabled })
   ```
4. Sent a message in the AI Assistant → `isHipaaEnabled: true`
5. Toggled off High Compliance → resent → `isHipaaEnabled: false`
6. Removed addon from subscription, left project toggle on →
`isHipaaEnabled: false`
   ```sql
   -- Find addon index:
   SELECT ordinality - 1 as idx FROM orb.subscriptions,
jsonb_array_elements(price_intervals) WITH ORDINALITY AS elem(val,
ordinality)
     WHERE id = '<subscription_id>'
     AND val->'price'->>'external_price_id' = 'addon_security_hipaa';

   -- Remove by index:
UPDATE orb.subscriptions SET price_intervals = price_intervals - <idx>
     WHERE id = '<subscription_id>';
   ```
All three cases confirm `isHipaaEnabled` requires both the org addon and
the project-level toggle.
</details>
