The Next pages-router build guards platform-only API routes via middleware
(proxy.ts, Next 16's renamed middleware convention). TanStack Start has no
middleware runtime, so that guard didn't run on the TanStack build at all.
Add an equivalent global request middleware on a TanStack start instance
(start.ts). On Vercel, /api/* and /_serverFn/* are rewritten to the
api/server.js function which runs createStartHandler, so requestMiddleware
executes server-side for every API request even though pages are a static
SPA shell. Extract the shared HOSTED_SUPPORTED_API_URLS allowlist into
lib/hosted-api-allowlist.ts so the Next and TanStack guards can't drift while
both frameworks run in parallel.
Next's pages-router merges dynamic route params and query-string params
into req.query with route params winning on key collisions. Both the api
and router shims had search params overwriting route params; flip the
merge order to match Next.
finalize() read a private statusCode mirror, so handlers that set
res.statusCode directly (a standard Node/Next idiom) were ignored and
the response went out as 200. Make res.statusCode the single source of
truth.
Image shims fired onLoadingComplete on every render when the callback
wasn't memoized, and re-fired on a null->defined transition. Read the
callback from a ref and gate firing on the resolved src so it fires at
most once per load. Also adds the missing scheme-regex comment to the
legacy shim.
Closes#47015
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?
Bug fix.
## What is the current behavior?
The queue message list paginates with `WHERE enqueued_at > <last>` and
`ORDER BY enqueued_at`. `enqueued_at` is not unique: pgmq defaults it to
`now()`, so every message sent in one `send_batch` shares a timestamp.
When a group of same-timestamp messages straddles a page boundary, the
strict cursor skips the rest of that group, so those messages never
appear in the grid even though they are still in the queue. With 40
messages from one batch, only 30 render.
## What is the new behavior?
Pagination uses a composite `(enqueued_at, msg_id)` keyset cursor and
orders by the same pair. `msg_id` is unique within each queue/archive
table and breaks the tie, so no rows are dropped between pages. After
the change, all 40 messages render. This mirrors the cron-runs query,
which already paginates on a unique key.
## Additional context
Added a test in
`apps/studio/data/database-queues/database-queue-messages-infinite-query.test.ts`
asserting next pages use the composite cursor and order by `enqueued_at,
msg_id`.

## Summary by CodeRabbit
* **Bug Fixes**
* Improved database queue message pagination to reliably retrieve all
messages, including those with identical enqueued timestamps, preventing
potential message skipping during pagination.
* **Tests**
* Added test coverage for database queue message pagination behavior.

Put Pretty Explain behind a feature flag for experimentation purposes
<!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai

## Summary by CodeRabbit
* **New Features**
* SQL Editor now supports optional feature controls to conditionally
disable “Explain” functionality. When disabled via configuration, the
“Explain” tab and its entry points are hidden, the EXPLAIN ANALYZE
keyboard shortcut (Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Enter) is disabled, and any automatic
post-run switch to the Explain tab for EXPLAIN-like queries is
prevented. This also reduces unnecessary mounting of Explain UI content
when turned off.

When opening an invite to join an organization that's enforced MFA for
their members, if a member does not have MFA enabled yet, they'll see
this UI which is confusing as there's no clear direction on what to do

## Context
If a user switches account without an explicit log out via the
dashboard, landing back on `/org` will redirect users to the last
visited organization as stored in local storage, in which it can result
in the following state if the last visited organization does not exist
in the current account
<img width="2538" height="1060" alt="image"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/270e482a-3515-48ef-898b-87e76fce80d6"
/>
## Changes involved
Am opting to scope the last visited organization to the user profile
instead - this would be a bit more cleaner than trying to actively clear
the last visited org slug from local storage with implicit account
changes as there's no deterministic way to track that (afaik) from FE
side of things
## To test
Can reproduce the problem as such
- Ensure that you have 2 accounts to log in with, and one account has an
org that the other is not a part of
- For the organization that has the "extra" org, ensure that you click
into it so that the last visited org slug is saved in local storage
- Mimic changing accounts by visiting
`/auth/v1/authorize?provider=github` (using the domain for the env that
you're testing on - e.g localhost:8000 for local, or green for staging
preview)

last-visited value is available; otherwise users go to the general
organizations page.
* Kept MFA enrollment and factor delete/leave flows aligned to the
unified last-visited organization value.
* **Tests**
* Updated onboarding and layout tests to match the new last-visited
organization storage key format and hook/query success behavior.

- database.spec: the 3 Schema Visualizer/Tables tests waited on the
'public-infinite_tables' pg-meta XHR after page.goto. Under the TanStack
build that data arrives via the SSR stream, so the client request never
fires and waitForResponse times out (flaky by shard). Gate on
focusTableInVisualizer (auto-waits for the schema incl. the new table).
- prettier: wrap the long createFileRoute() path in the generated
vector-buckets indexes [indexName] route.

* **Improvements**
* Standardized the external authentication provider button text across

Master's 'Auth flow improvements' (#46967) converted SignInLayout and
ForgotPasswordLayout from default to named exports. The TanStack auth routes
(routes/_auth/*) still default-imported them, breaking the Vite build
(MISSING_EXPORT). Switch the 6 routes to named imports to match.
The master merge auto-resolved apps/studio/package.json and silently dropped
master's "fuse.js": "^7.4.0" (both sides edited adjacent dependency lines).
Studio code from master uses it (FunctionList.utils, Support.constants,
sql-event-parser, AIEditor, ...), and the lockfile lost the importer entry,
breaking 'pnpm install --frozen-lockfile' in CI:
Broken lockfile: no entry for 'fuse.js@7.4.0'.
Restore the dependency and reconcile the lockfile.
Tanstack E2E failures were caused by:
- 12 Next pages/api routes never ported to TanStack routes/api (they 404'd
under the Vite build). Notably /api/platform/deployment-mode, which made
the Connect sheet's direct-connection step render a skeleton with no
connection-method radios (connect.spec 'pre-selects direct connection
method'). Also ports vector-buckets, signing-keys, api-keys/[id],
get-s3-keys, parse-query, parse-client-code, secrets/update-status.
- realtime-inspector beforeEach registered waitForResponse(/settings/) AFTER
navigation already waited on the UI; settings is a one-shot non-refetching
request that, under TanStack's faster render, resolves before the listener
attaches, hanging every realtime test to the 120s timeout. Removed the
redundant wait (the UI assertion is the real gate).
- 'clicking broadcast message shows detail panel' center-clicked a data-grid
row whose untruncated-JSON cell overflows under the detail panel; click the
row's visible timestamp instead.

## Problem
It's hard to find a function that references another database entity:
users have to open each of them and look for matches themselves.
## Solution
Add a search input dedicated to function content filtering. Reusing the
existing input to match both names and content may be worse than before
as it would match too many functions if some of them have common sql
keywords in their name.

## Problem
The unified log dashboards' Postgres detail panel hid the `query` and
`detail` fields. They were present in the raw log message but never
surfaced in the structured view, making them harder to use when
debugging.
## Fix
- Select `pgl_parsed.query` and `pgl_parsed.detail` in the Postgres
service flow query.
- Add `Query` and `Details` field configs to the Postgres primary
fields, both with `wrap: true` so long values display in full instead of
truncating.
The parsed Postgres field is `detail` (singular); it is labeled
"Details" in the UI.
## How to test
- Open Studio and navigate to the unified logs dashboard for a project.
- Filter to Postgres logs and select a log row to open the detail panel.
- Confirm the Postgres section now shows `Query` and `Details` rows
below `User`.
- Expected result: rows render the parsed query and detail text,
wrapping for long values, and show an em dash when empty.
<!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai

## Summary by CodeRabbit
* **New Features**
* PostgreSQL service flow logs now show additional always-visible
**Query** and **Details** fields, bringing parsed database query content
and expanded information directly into the log view.
* **Tests**
* Updated log inspection coverage to ensure the new parsed fields are
correctly surfaced in the flattened inspection output.

## Summary
Aligns 16 telemetry event interface identifiers in
`packages/common/telemetry-constants.ts` so each interface name equals
the PascalCase of its `action` string (`PascalCase(action) + Event`).
This is a follow-up to the GROWTH-798 audit (#45964), which fixed the
`action` strings and several interface names but left these 16
identifiers mismatched. I renamed identifiers only: every `action`
string is untouched, so there is zero impact on PostHog event names or
historical data.
Before this change, 176/192 interfaces matched the convention. This
brings it to 192/192.
## Changes
Structural renames (interface name was dropping or reordering words vs
the action):
- `AskAIEvent` to `AskAiClickedEvent`
- `CopyAsMarkdownEvent` to `CopyAsMarkdownClickedEvent`
- `DocsRecommendation404ClickedEvent` to
`Docs404RecommendationClickedEvent` (from #46990)
- `EventPageCtaClickedEvent` to `WwwEventPageCtaClickedEvent` (completes
the interface side of GROWTH-798 HIGH #1)
- `ImportDataFileAddedEvent` to `ImportDataDropzoneFileAddedEvent` (also
updates the consumer `apps/studio/hooks/ui/useCsvFileDrop.ts`)
- `QueryPerformanceAIExplanationButtonClickedEvent` to
`QueryPerformanceExplainWithAiButtonClickedEvent`
Initialism casing (normalized to the file-majority lowercase transform;
`Sql` 9:2, `Api` 3:2, `Ai` 6:2):
- `CustomReportAddSQLBlockClickedEvent` to
`CustomReportAddSqlBlockClickedEvent`
- `CustomReportAssistantSQLBlockAddedEvent` to
`CustomReportAssistantSqlBlockAddedEvent`
- `HomepageGitHubButtonClickedEvent` to
`HomepageGithubButtonClickedEvent`
- `MetricsAPIBannerCtaButtonClickedEvent` to
`MetricsApiBannerCtaButtonClickedEvent`
- `MetricsAPIBannerDismissButtonClickedEvent` to
`MetricsApiBannerDismissButtonClickedEvent`
- `TableRLSEnabledEvent` to `TableRlsEnabledEvent`
- `RLSGeneratePoliciesClickedEvent` to `RlsGeneratePoliciesClickedEvent`
- `RLSGeneratedPolicyRemovedEvent` to `RlsGeneratedPolicyRemovedEvent`
- `RLSGeneratedPoliciesCreatedEvent` to
`RlsGeneratedPoliciesCreatedEvent`
- `RLSTesterRunQueryClickedEvent` to `RlsTesterRunQueryClickedEvent`
## Testing
Type-only change, no runtime or PostHog behavior to exercise. Verified
that all 192 interfaces now match `PascalCase(action) + Event` (0
mismatches), the `TelemetryEvent` union has no duplicates, no old
identifier names remain anywhere in the repo, and the one external
consumer (`useCsvFileDrop.ts`) still resolves via its `['action']`
indexed access since the action strings are unchanged.

## What kind of change does this PR introduce?
Bug fix. Resolves DEPR-594.
## What is the current behavior?
On Studio, when an OAuth app provides an `icon` URL that fails to load
(e.g. Cursor MCP’s logo on Vercel Blob is blocked by CSP `img-src`),
`RequesterLogo` renders an empty gray box on `/authorize` even though a
letter fallback already exists when `icon` is null.
## What is the new behavior?
`RequesterLogo` tracks image load failures via `onError` and falls back
to the app name initial—the same treatment used when no icon URL is
provided. Applies to the authorize interstitial and approved state.
This is graceful degradation, not a logo-delivery fix. Partner logos
that load successfully (e.g. Figma on `*.supabase.co`) are unchanged.
## Additional context
**Proper fix (later):** Mirror partner logos to Supabase-controlled
storage at dynamic registration time. This is tracked in
[DEPR-596](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/DEPR-596).

## Summary by CodeRabbit
* **Improvements**
* OAuth app requester logos now feature enhanced error handling. If a
logo image fails to load, the system automatically displays a fallback
text-based avatar using the requester's initials. Logo displays refresh
correctly when you update app icons, ensuring a consistent and reliable
user experience throughout your application management.

## Problem
When [#46812](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/46812) was
scoped down to "sidebar visual changes only", Kemal's UI redesign of the
Unified Logs sidebar banners was unintentionally reverted back to the
older full-bleed strip layout. The shared `UnifiedLogsBanner` component
survived, but his actual visual design did not.
This PR brings back just Kemal's banner UI changes, with nothing else
from that branch.
## Changes
- **promo variant** (`LogsSidebarMenuV2`): bordered card with a "New"
badge, an "Introducing unified logs" heading, and an "Enable preview"
button + "More information" tooltip button
- **utility variant** (`FilterSideBar`): bordered card for the "Go back
to old logs" action with a "Switch back" tooltip button
- Restore the `mx-4 mt-4` placement in both consumers
Adapted to the current `Button` `variant` API (the original used the
now-removed `type` prop).
## Testing
- `pnpm lint --filter=studio`
- Visual check of the Logs sidebar for an account eligible for Unified
Logs (promo card) and one already on Unified Logs (utility card)
<!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai

- Return type
- Behaviour (Under advanced settings)
Some other minor UI changes as well:
- Field inputs are re-ordered a little, opting to group "Schema" and
"Name" into one section, followed by "Type" and "Return type"

## Context
Having a custom report block on the project home page with a SQL that
returns a large set of results (e.g > 100k rows) causes a client side
crash with "Maximum call stack size exceeded"

src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/e4bb5b73-e114-4687-9d0b-a7bff328167c"
/>
This is happening due to an array spread in `computeYAxisWidth` in
`Math.max` - which am hence opting to use a `reduce` instead to mitigate
the problem.
Am also opting to apply the same autolimit logic in the SQL editor into
the `QueryBlock` here, so that we don't unnecessarily fetch a large
dataset in this UI. Added a UI indicator as well if auto limit has been
applied (So this also overlaps into dashboard scalability too)

* When active, query result blocks display an informational notice to
users, clearly indicating the row restriction that has been applied

## Problem
Our `<Button>` component breaks the default `button` contract by
redefining the `type` prop to set its variant (`primary`, `default`,
etc) instead of the button type (`submit`, `button`, etc).
This is confusing and forces to write more code when using it with
shadcn components that expect/inject the standard button props.
## Solution
- rename the `type` prop to `variant`
- rename the `htmlType` prop to `type`
- propagate the changes where necessary
- format code
## How to test
As this is just prop renaming, if it builds it's ok

Addresses the issue of parallel tool approvals freezing Assistant and
causing UX ambiguity around what happens if only part of multiple
dependent invocations is approved.
Two layers at which this is addressed:
1. Tightens prompt to clarify approval tools must be issued one per
step, not in parallel.
2. In case something slips past the prompt, this also auto-denies all
but the first `approval-required` tool call when the model issues
multiple in the same step, so the model is forced to reissue them
sequentially.
**Demo**
The following chats demo me explicitly asking Assistant to run those
approval-gated tools in parallel, and the Assistant correctly invokes
them sequentially instead.

request |

When a user selects IO2 on compute upgrade, the `0/MB` isn't quite
correct, whilst the costa delta of $0 is correct. We will hide the row

## Problem
When a support ticket submission is rejected by the API's rate limiter,
the form surfaced the raw server exception text to the user and reported
every rejection as an application error. This produced a steady stream
of noisy error reports for what is actually expected, recoverable
behavior.
The rejections are not random: the submit endpoint allows only a small
number of requests in a short window, so a quick second submission (a
fast retry or a follow-up ticket moments later) gets rejected. The first
submission usually succeeds; it's the immediate follow-up that fails.
Surfacing the raw error and logging it made this look worse than it is.
Separately, the success screen had only top padding, leaving its actions
flush against the bottom edge of the card.
## Fix
- Detect the rate-limit response and show a clear, friendly message that
tells the user how long to wait before trying again, instead of the raw
exception text.
- Stop reporting rate-limit rejections as errors to our monitoring. They
are expected and recoverable, so they no longer add noise.
- Give the success state the same vertical padding as the rest of the
form so its actions are not flush against the card edge.
## How to test
- Open the support form and simulate a 429 from the submit endpoint.
- Expected: a friendly message telling the user when they can retry, and
no error reported to monitoring.
- Submit a ticket successfully and confirm the success screen has even
padding above and below its content.
## Notes
This covers the user-facing handling. The rate-limit threshold itself is
tuned conservatively on the API and can be revisited separately so that
ordinary, legitimate resubmissions are not caught.
<!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai
-->
## Summary by CodeRabbit
* **Bug Fixes**
* Improved support form handling for rate-limited (429) submissions by
suppressing unnecessary error reporting while still showing the error
and returning the form to editing.
* Fixed inconsistent support form spacing so padding is consistent
regardless of submission outcome.
* **Improvements**
* Propagated backend error `code` through the support-ticket submission
flow so the UI can react more intelligently to failures (including 429
retry-window messaging).
* Enhanced retry timing extraction for rate-limited errors by using
`Retry-After` with a fallback to rate-limit reset data.

## Problem
The homepage usage section had two implementations gated by the
`newHomepageUsageV2` ConfigCat flag, with the legacy V1 as the fallback.
That flag has been at 100% in production for months, so V1 is dead code
and the flag branch is unnecessary.
## Fix
- Make V2 the default by removing the `newHomepageUsageV2` flag check in
`Home.tsx`.
- Delete the V1 section (`Home/ProjectUsageSection.tsx`), its chart
(`Home/ProjectUsage.tsx`), and the now-orphaned
`project-log-requests-count-query` plus its query key.
- Shared code (`useProjectLogStatsQuery`, `UsageApiCounts`,
`ProjectLogStatsVariables`) is kept since V2 and other modules still use
it.
The `newHomepageUsageV2` flag can be removed from ConfigCat after this
merges.
## How to test
- Open a project homepage on platform.
- Confirm the usage section still renders (the V2 layout) with no flag
dependency.
- Verify no console errors and no broken imports.
- Expected result: identical homepage usage section to what production
shows today.
## Notes
- This is independent of the in-flight service-health usage charts work
(PR #46373), which is behind its own `newHomepageUsageDeltas` flag.
Whichever merges second will resolve a small conflict on the
`UsageSection` selection in `Home.tsx`.

## Summary by CodeRabbit
* **Refactor**
* Removed project usage statistics section from the home page.

## Problem
On pages that needs to check conditions for which data is loaded
asynchronously, the navigation links in the sidebar appear disabled for
a split second:

## Solution
Check whether the required data is loading and override the styles so
that the links are still disabled to avoid errors but appear as normal.
## How to test
- Open the project setting page
- Check the styles of the sidebar items carefully while it load (might
require to refresh a few times to be sure)

## What kind of change does this PR introduce?
Bug fix / UI polish
## What is the current behavior?
Visiting `/authorize` without an `auth_id` renders a bare `Card` outside
the shared Connect interstitial — no centered layout, no Supabase logo,
inconsistent with every other `/authorize` state (loading, error, form,
approved).
Two edge cases also produce poor UX: a blank flash while
`router.isReady` is false, and a silent empty page when the
authorization query succeeds but returns no requester.
## What is the new behavior?
- **Missing `auth_id`**: `ApiAuthorizationInvalidScreen` now uses
`InterstitialLayout` with `SupabaseLogo`, a user-facing title ("Missing
authorization link"), warning admonition, and "Back to dashboard" —
matching the error screen and CLI missing-params pattern.
- **Router not ready**: `authorize.tsx` shows
`ApiAuthorizationLoadingScreen` instead of `null`.
- **Empty requester**: `ApiAuthorization.Valid.tsx` renders
`ApiAuthorizationErrorScreen` instead of returning `null`.
Tests updated in `ApiAuthorization.test.tsx`; added `authorize.test.tsx`
for router-not-ready loading.

## Context
There's certain areas in the dashboard where we're calling
`useTablesQuery` without a schema filter, in which case the dashboard
then fires a query against the project's database to fetch _all_ tables
across _all_ schemas - this could easily be a heavy query if there's a
large number of relations in the project's database.
Am hence opting to either add a schema filter if appropriate, or
otherwise opt to use the infinite loading behaviour
## Changes involved
- Add schema filter to `useTablesQuery` in database triggers and
publications
- Use infinite loading for tables in Cmd K for "Run query on table" and
"Search database tables"
## To test
- [x] Verify that database triggers + publications still function as
expected
- [x] Verify that CMD K "Run query on table" and "Search database
tables" still function as expected (including search)

## Summary by CodeRabbit
* **New Features**
* Implemented debounced infinite-scrolling table search in the command
menu and SQL editor command flow.
* Added a schema selector dropdown to publications management for easier
navigation.
* **Improvements**
* Removed the “Schema” column from the publications tables UI.
* Updated search guidance and table-picker status (counts/loading)
during infinite browsing.
* Trigger table listings now follow the selected schema context.
* Refined command menu list height and improved the database-tables
placeholder text.

This PR disabled generating snippet titles when running and disables the
"generate titles" buttons in Rename Snippet and Save Snippet dialogs
(which is accessed through the side SQL Editor).
How to test:
1. Disable AI for an org.
2. Try to run a new snippet, it shouldn't be renamed automatically.
3. Right click it, click Rename. The "generate title" in the dialog
should be disabled with a reason in a tooltip.
4. Open the side SQL Editor, write "select 1", click Save snippet. The
"generate title" in the dialog should be disabled.
Testing the same flows for HIPAA projects should say `This feature is
not available for HIPAA projects.`

## What kind of change does this PR introduce?
Bug fix / UI polish. Resolves DEPR-597.
## What is the current behavior?
In shared Connect / interstitial surfaces, partner logos in `LogoPair`
often have baked-in backgrounds (e.g. Figma white, Cursor black, CLI
`bg-black`), while `SupabaseLogo` uses the default `LogoBox` `bg-muted`
and can look washed out in dark mode.
The OAuth redirect footnote on `/authorize` also lacked `text-balance`,
unlike other interstitial footnotes.
## What is the new behavior?
- `SupabaseLogo` now uses `bg-surface-75` on its `LogoBox` for better
contrast alongside partner logos in light and dark mode, without the
harsh fixed-white pairing on flows like CLI login.
- The `/authorize` redirect footnote uses `text-balance` for cleaner
wrapping of long redirect URLs.

## What kind of change does this PR introduce?
Bug fix. Resolves FE-3469.
## What is the current behavior?
On auth email template pages, the Docs button builds anchor hashes from
the Studio URL slug (derived from user-facing titles), not from
canonical template IDs.
E.g. **Reset password** links to `#authemailtemplateresetpassword`, but
the docs section is `#authemailtemplaterecovery`.
12 of 13 templates had broken Docs links.
## What is the new behavior?
Docs links use an explicit `EMAIL_TEMPLATE_DOCS_ANCHORS` map keyed by
`template.id`, matching the anchors in
[customizing-email-templates.mdx](https://supabase.com/docs/guides/local-development/customizing-email-templates).
Examples:
- Reset password → `#authemailtemplaterecovery`
- Magic link or OTP → `#authemailtemplatemagic_link`
- Password changed → `#authemailnotificationpassword_changed`
Dashboard URL slugs (`reset-password`, etc.) are unchanged.
## Additional context
- Added `EMAIL_TEMPLATE_DOCS_ANCHORS` in `EmailTemplates.constants.ts`
with `satisfies Record<AuthTemplateType, string>` for exhaustiveness
- Added `EmailTemplates.constants.test.ts` to verify all template types
are covered and anchors match docs heading paths
**Test plan**
- [x] `pnpm --filter studio test EmailTemplates.constants`
- [ ] Spot-check Docs button on Reset password, Magic link or OTP, and
Password changed templates

## Summary by CodeRabbit
* **Tests**
* Added automated checks to ensure every authentication email template
has the correct documentation anchor mapping.
* **Chores**
* Updated the documentation link behavior for email templates to use a
consistent, predefined anchor mapping—improving reliability and
maintainability of the docs button.
