fix(studio): add a keyboard shortcut for the Compute sidebar item (#50361)
The Compute entry in the project sidebar was the only product route without a `shortcutId`, so it had neither a `G`-chord nor the hover keybind tooltip every sibling gets. Bound it to `G` then `C` (previously unused) and added a test asserting every product route carries a shortcut. Fixes FE-4389 <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit - **New Features** - Added a keyboard shortcut for quick navigation to Compute: press **G**, then **C**. - Compute navigation now includes a discoverable shortcut for consistent access from the navigation interface. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

fix(studio): gate homepage health advisor (#50328)
## Problem Health Advisor results appear on the project homepage whenever the main `healthAdvisor` flag is enabled, so the homepage cannot be rolled out separately. The existing gates also contain redundant boolean and platform checks. ## Fix Require both `healthAdvisor` and `healthAdvisorInHomepage` before fetching or displaying health advisories on the homepage. Simplify all Health Advisor gates to use the boolean ConfigCat flag directly, including the cleanup requested in the review of #50326. ## How to test - Enable only `healthAdvisor` and verify Health Advisor remains available outside the homepage while health results do not appear or load on the homepage. - Enable both flags and verify health results appear on the homepage. - Disable `healthAdvisor` and verify Health Advisor remains unavailable everywhere. - Existing targeted tests pass: 5 tests across Advisor menu and panel integration suites. - Prettier and whitespace checks pass. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Health Advisor is now available in non-platform environments when enabled. * Navigation, filtering, lint checks, and project pages consistently follow the Health Advisor feature setting. * Self-hosted environments can use the Health Advisor category. * **Bug Fixes** * Homepage Health Advisor visibility now follows both the Health Advisor and homepage-specific settings. * Updated empty states and health lint results to match the configured availability. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

fix(studio): gate health advisor behind feature flag (#50326)
## Problem Health Advisor runs checks and displays health alerts without a dedicated rollout flag. ## Fix Gate Health Advisor behind the ConfigCat `healthAdvisor` flag, defaulting to off when missing or loading. This covers the navigation and shortcut, command menu, direct page access, homepage alerts, Advisor panel filters and details, and health-check requests. Cached health results and saved Health filters no longer surface health content when disabled. Existing platform-only restrictions remain. The `healthAdvisor` flag will be created separately in ConfigCat. ## How to test - With `healthAdvisor` off, verify Health Advisor is absent from navigation, command search, homepage alerts, and Advisor panel categories. Opening `/project/<ref>/advisors/health` shows an unavailable message. No health-check POST requests should run. - With the flag on for an active platform project, verify these surfaces return and health checks load. - Disable the flag after loading health results and selecting the Health filter or an alert. Verify cached health alerts disappear and the panel remains usable. - Existing menu tests pass. No new feature flag tests are included. Formatting and whitespace checks passed. - Local lint could not start because the available dependency installation is missing `@eslint/compat`. Full TypeScript validation failed with missing dependencies and incompatible workspace types in the reused local dependency installation; it did not provide a clean validation result. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Health Advisor availability is now controlled by a feature flag on the platform. * When enabled, health advisories appear in advisor menus, filters, project checks, and empty-state messaging. * When unavailable, the Health Advisor page clearly indicates that it isn’t available for the project. * **Bug Fixes** * Health advisory data is no longer requested when the feature is disabled, preventing unavailable health results and errors from appearing. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

fix(studio): refine Explorer query surfaces and tab styling (#50249)
Explorer query surfaces now use `bg-card` in light mode and `bg-muted` in dark mode, including embedded notebook/chat queries and query tab toolbars. Notebook Run buttons match query tabs, with `ml-1` spacing on both. Fix doubled tab separators by applying the leading border only to the first tab. ### How to test 1. Open Explorer with multiple query, notebook, and chat tabs. Switch, reorder, and close tabs; confirm each separator stays one pixel wide. 2. In light and dark mode, inspect query tabs and embedded notebook/chat queries: backgrounds should be card in light mode and muted in dark mode, including their toolbars. 3. Compare notebook and query Run buttons: matching default styling and spacing. Run a read-only query such as `select 1` in both and check loading and results. 4. Check SQL Editor and Table Editor tab separators, since the tab component is shared. Validation: Prettier passed for all four changed files. Manual checks above have not been run. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit - **Style** - Refined notebook and query run button styling, including spacing and tooltip placement. - Improved query editor panel backgrounds across light and dark themes. - Updated tab border rendering for more consistent visual alignment. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

refactor(ui): drop redundant Button variant="default" props (#50161)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Mechanical cleanup on top of the Button default-variant change (#50160). ## What is the current behavior? Many callsites still pass `variant="default"` even though that is now the component default. ## What is the new behavior? Removes redundant static `variant="default"` from legacy `Button` and `ButtonTooltip` callsites. Keeps explicit defaults where they document the API: - `button-default.tsx` and `button-sizes.tsx` demos - `DocsButton`, which pins neutral styling at the wrapper boundary ## To test Studio: - [Auth → Rate Limits](https://studio-staging-2s957kwc4-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/project/_/auth/rate-limits): dirty the form so Cancel appears; Cancel stays neutral, Save stays green - [Project Settings → API Keys](https://studio-staging-2s957kwc4-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/project/_/settings/api-keys): `DocsButton` in the header actions stays neutral Design system: - [Design system → Button](https://design-system-git-dnywh-dc924ac1-supabase.vercel.app/design-system/docs/components/button): `button-default` / `button-sizes` still show explicit default styling; Primary (green) is restricted to the Primary section (and `asChild`) WWW: - [www → Brand assets](https://zone-www-dot-com-git-dnywh-dc924ac1-supabase.vercel.app/brand-assets): Download logo kit / Download button kit stay neutral |

Update API types (#50234)
## Problem platform, v1 and v2 have been already completely migrated and introduced some changes. Some types have been renamed, some outputs and inputs updated. ## Solution - Update the API types - Fix the TS errors ## Update Taking this over to unblock #50134, which needs the new scoped token permission ids from the regenerated types. - Merged `master`. - Regenerated `api-v2.d.ts` from the production spec. The previous files came from a local API that exposed a webhook events endpoint production doesn't have yet. Production has since added standardized 400 error responses on the v2 organization endpoints. `api-v1.d.ts` and `platform.d.ts` already matched production. - Fixed `verify-production-types`. It formatted the regenerated files in a temp directory outside the repository, so Prettier fell back to its defaults and the comparison could never match the committed files. It now passes the repository config explicitly. `pnpm api:verify-types` passes on this branch. - Verified locally: `pnpm typecheck`, `pnpm api:verify-types`, Studio unit tests. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Bug Fixes** * Preserved descriptions when saving, sharing, moving, or unsharing notebooks, reports, SQL snippets, and saved queries. * Improved handling of empty or null values across notebook descriptions, billing usage, pooler settings, and infrastructure fields. * Improved read-replica connection handling, including read-only connection strings. * Updated storage configuration and capability handling to match current settings. * **API and Compatibility** * Updated organization, project, storage, OAuth, billing, and infrastructure data handling to match current API responses. * OAuth app creation and updates now require scopes. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Alaister Young <10985857+alaister@users.noreply.github.com> |

chore(deps): upgrade vitest to v5 (#49994)
Upgrades Vitest from 4.1.4 to 5.0.0 across the monorepo, fixes the handful of things v5 turned into hard errors, and drops the `vi.clearAllMocks()` boilerplate that v5's `clearMocks` default makes redundant. **Changed:** - `vitest`, `@vitest/ui`, `@vitest/coverage-v8` 4.1.4 → 5.0.0 (catalog) - `vi.mock` calls that lived inside `beforeAll`/`beforeEach`/test bodies moved to module scope (v5 throws on nested calls). Affects the Studio and docs setup files and four Studio tests. - `detectBrowser` test restores `navigator` via `vi.unstubAllGlobals()` instead of assigning `global.navigator`, which now reaches jsdom's getter-only property. - `RowEditor.utils.test.ts` restores its `JSON.stringify` spy. It used to leak a throwing mock for the rest of the file, which v5's coverage provider now trips over. A later test in the same file had been asserting the leak's side effect (valid JSON reported as invalid) and now asserts the correct behavior. - `@testing-library/jest-dom` 6.6 → 7.0.1. Its vitest type augmentation resolves through a peer now, so it lands on each package's own `vitest` instead of whichever copy pnpm hoisted. Fixes `toBeInTheDocument` type errors in dev-tools after the reshuffle. - `@testing-library/react` 16.0.0 → 16.3.3 for the React 19 peer range. - `vite: catalog:` added to dev-tools, www, and common. Without it they resolved a newer vite than the catalog pin, which forked a second vitest instance in the lockfile. There's now one. - ai-commands custom matcher types use v5's `Matchers<R, T>` form. - 110 test files: `vi.clearAllMocks()` removed from `beforeEach`/`afterEach` hooks, along with hooks that only did that and the imports they left unused. Calls that also reset/restore mocks are untouched. Second commit, mechanical. **Added:** - `.vitest/` to the root gitignore (v5 writes JSON/JUnit/HTML reporter output there) **Removed:** - `vite-tsconfig-paths` catalog entry and deps. Vitest 5 resolves tsconfig paths itself. Release-age note: this sat in draft with a temporary `minimumReleaseAgeExclude` entry for `vitest` and `@vitest/*` while 5.0.0 was inside the workspace's 3-day `minimumReleaseAge` window. That window has closed, so the exclusion is gone and nothing bypasses the release-age gate. **Perf** (local, medians of 3 runs, same machine): | Suite | v4.1.4 | v5.0.0 | |---|---|---| | studio | 144.1s | 141.7s (-2%) | | studio `--coverage` | 156.9s | 146.4s (-7%) | | ui-patterns | 6.27s | 5.07s (-19%) | | ui `--coverage` | 3.35s | 2.14s (-36%) | | www | 0.89s | 0.47s (-47%) | Studio is dominated by jsdom environment setup per file, which v5 doesn't change. `vitest doctor` recommends keeping the current pool config: the vm pools and `isolate: false` all break tests. ## To test - `pnpm install --frozen-lockfile` succeeds with no `minimumReleaseAgeExclude` entry for vitest. - CI: Studio unit tests, ui, ui-patterns, www, docs, and typecheck/lint should all be green. The lint ratchet was checked locally: warning counts on touched Studio files are identical to master. - `pnpm test:studio` locally passes with coverage (588 files, 6240 tests). - Open a Studio test that uses `toBeInTheDocument` in your editor and confirm no type errors on jest-dom matchers, in Studio and in `packages/dev-tools`. - Known pre-existing failures unrelated to this PR: one dev-tools test (`getEventCountBadge` capped pill) fails on master too. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit ## Tests - Improved test coverage for JSON validation and mobile navigation behavior. - Updated test setup, cleanup, environment configuration, and matcher support across application and shared package suites. - Removed obsolete coverage for alternate MCP transport selection. ## Chores - Streamlined TypeScript path resolution and Vitest reporter output handling. - Updated testing libraries and Vitest tooling across documentation, Studio, website, and shared packages. - Added Vitest reporter output to ignored files. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Alaister Young <10985857+alaister@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: Ivan Vasilov <vasilov.ivan@gmail.com> |

chore(studio): refine Explorer sidebar breadcrumbs (#50188)
Moves Explorer’s back navigation and create actions into a reusable sidebar breadcrumb header. Reduces product-menu headings globally to `text-sm` and keeps breadcrumb links free of padding, borders, and backgrounds. ### How to test 1. Open `/project/<ref>/explorer` and confirm the header shows Explorer and the SQL Editor switch action. 2. Open Notebooks and Chats. Confirm the header shows `Explorer > Notebooks/Chats` and the corresponding create action works. 3. Return using the Explorer breadcrumb with a click or Tab + Enter. Check that the label stays aligned and has no hover background. 4. Open another product, such as Database, and confirm its sidebar heading uses the smaller font size. 5. At a mobile viewport, open the menu and repeat the notebook/chat actions and back navigation without closing the sheet. Confirm the header stays current and disappears when returning to the main menu or opening another product. Validation: 18 focused tests, typecheck, formatting, and lint ratchet passed. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit - **New Features** - Added a shared Explorer sidebar header with breadcrumbs and contextual actions for creating notebooks and chats. - Added keyboard-accessible navigation between the Explorer overview and notebook or chat sections. - Added support for customized product menu headers across project layouts. - **Improvements** - Centralized Explorer navigation and actions in the shared sidebar layout. - Improved mobile menu updates when navigating between Explorer resources. - Refined Explorer home layout and drag-handle behavior across screen sizes. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Joshen Lim <joshenlimek@gmail.com> |

fix(ui): default Button variant to default instead of primary (#50160)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Bug fix / design-system alignment for the legacy `Button` from `ui`. ## What is the current behavior? Omitting `variant` on the legacy `Button` falls back to brand-green `primary`. That makes accidental greens easy, and it is hard to spot the real main action on busy pages. ## What is the new behavior? - Legacy `Button` now defaults to neutral `default` - Intentional primary CTAs (create, save, submit, marketing CTAs, and matching `ButtonTooltip` usages) now set `variant="primary"` so their appearance is unchanged - Neutral actions that previously relied on the old fallback (cancel, close, back, dashboard nav, and similar) become grey/white - Design-system docs updated; regression tests cover the new default `Button_Shadcn_` is unchanged. It already uses its own CVA default. This is PR 1 of 2 in a stack. PR 2 drops now-redundant `variant="default"` props. ## To test Studio (http://localhost:8082): - `/sign-in`: Sign in stays green - Open a project → Database → Tables: New table stays green - Auth → Users → Invite: Invite user stays green; Cancel / dismiss controls stay neutral - Project Settings → General: edit a field so Cancel and Save appear. Cancel is neutral, Save is green Design system (http://localhost:3003): - Components → Button: default demo is neutral; primary demo is green; featured preview is the default variant Marketing (optional): - www header: Start your project stays green; logged-in Dashboard is neutral <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit - **Style** - Buttons now default to a neutral style, while primary actions across Studio, documentation, marketing pages, forms, dialogs, and error states use prominent primary styling. - Updated button examples and previews clarify the distinction between default and primary variants. - Event registration now includes a directional arrow icon. - **Tests** - Added coverage confirming default button styling and explicit primary styling behave as expected. - Updated related test fixtures to use primary styling where appropriate. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

Joshenlim/fe 4291 keep unsaved notebooks accessible after page refresh (#49673)
## Context Changes here adds a "Draft" state for notebooks with a new `notebook-drafts` store - similar to how we handle query tabs in the explorer. This implies that if a user refreshes the tab while there's unsaved changes to notebooks, the changes can be persisted locally and the user will be able to continue from where they left off. This also implies that If you create a new notebook (OR open an existing notebook and make some changes) and refresh the browser, we no longer show the native browser confirmation dialog about discarding changes. We also reuse the existing confirmation dialog when saving a notebook if its draft has diverged from the server side content - just updated the language to be more generic rather than saying that the Assistant made changes <img width="429" height="238" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/5c392aed-1633-4428-8060-28f495a01f04" /> Also fixes an unrelated issue - renaming a notebook should mark the notebook as having unsaved changes (with the orange indicator) <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Unsaved notebook edits are saved locally and restored when reopening Studio. * Drafts are scoped by project and protected from server changes through conflict detection. * Notebook tabs indicate unsaved changes, including drafts from unsaved notebooks. * **Bug Fixes** * Closing a tab with local edits prompts for confirmation and removes its saved draft. * Notebook save state reflects the server-confirmed update time. * Conflict messages clearly describe changes made on the server. * **Style** * Improved keyboard focus behavior for tab controls. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

Trigger update snippet when toggling favorite (#50121)
## Context Currently in the SQL Editor, toggling "favourite" for a snippet doesn't persist unless you manually save the snippet (which expects a change in the snippet's content before allowing so) - which is a bit of an odd UX This used to work before we introduced manual saving which is currently the default behaviour for the SQL Editor - `addFavorite` and `removeFavorite` would add to the `needsSaving` queue which the editor's save scheduler will subscribe and trigger the save. However the save scheduler doesn't subscribe to the queue for manual saving mode ([ref](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/apps/studio/state/sql-editor/sql-editor-save-scheduler.ts#L90)) - hence toggling favourite on a snippet never triggers a PATCH request. Am opting to immediately trigger a PATCH request when toggling favourites which is a bit more of an expected UX imo One thing to note is that favoriting a snippet essentially does a save on the snippet - which means the contents will be persisted as well, although i think this is alright ## To test - [ ] Verify that toggling favourite for a SQL snippet persists immediately - Can verify by checking the context menu CTA to see if it's changed from "Add to favourites" to "Remove from favourites" or vice versa <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit - **Improvements** - Favoriting or unfavoriting SQL snippets now saves immediately. - Favorite changes are handled consistently across the SQL Editor, including the utility panel and snippet navigation. - Pending content saves are coordinated to prevent favorite changes from being overwritten. - If saving a favorite fails, the previous favorite state is restored and an error notification is shown. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

fix(ui): let command dropdowns scroll on touch inside overlays (#50103)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Bug fix. ## What is the current behavior? A command dropdown cannot be scrolled by touch when it sits inside a dialog or sheet. Radix wraps a modal dialog's overlay in a scroll lock that cancels wheel and touch events whose target is not inside the sheet. A dropdown portals to the body, so it falls outside that boundary and its scroll events get cancelled. Callers have been rediscovering this one at a time and fixing only half of it. `MultiSelectorList` stops wheel events reaching the document, and `SchemaSelector` and `FunctionSelector` expose a `stopScrollPropagation` prop that does the same. None of them handle touch, so the desktop symptom is fixed everywhere and the mobile one is fixed nowhere. ## What is the new behavior? `CommandList` keeps wheel and touch events off the document itself. That covers every command dropdown in the monorepo, in an overlay or not, with no call-site changes. A caller's own `onWheel` or `onTouchMove` still runs. The workarounds this replaces are removed: the handler in `MultiSelectorList`, and the `stopScrollPropagation` prop on `SchemaSelector` and `FunctionSelector` along with its four call sites. One behavior change worth naming: overscrolling past the end of a dropdown no longer scrolls the page behind it. That is what a dropdown should do, and it is what the four `stopScrollPropagation` call sites were already opting into. #50072 depends on this. It swaps two selects for comboboxes, and Radix Select brings its own scroll lock, so without this the swap would regress touch scrolling. ## To test - On the deploy preview, [open a project's Connect sheet](https://studio-staging-git-dnywh-fix-multi-select-scrol-63608b-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/project/_) and pick the MCP tab. - Narrow the window to phone width and switch on touch emulation in devtools. - Open the features dropdown and drag the list. It should scroll, and the sheet behind it should stay put. - Repeat with a mouse wheel to confirm desktop scrolling still works. - [Open Authentication > Hooks](https://studio-staging-git-dnywh-fix-multi-select-scrol-63608b-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/project/_/auth/hooks) > Create hook, open the schema picker, and confirm it still scrolls by wheel now that `stopScrollPropagation` is gone. - [Open the SQL editor](https://studio-staging-git-dnywh-fix-multi-select-scrol-63608b-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/project/_/sql/new)'s schema picker on a page with no overlay and confirm the list scrolls normally. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit - **Bug Fixes** - Improved wheel and touch scrolling behavior in command lists, selectors, and multi-select menus. - Reduced unwanted scroll-lock interference when using selectors inside overlays such as dialogs and sheets. - Preserved support for supplied scroll event callbacks. - **Accessibility** - Added clearer accessible labels to the Connect and mobile navigation menu buttons. - Updated the Connect button text behavior for icon-only and standard presentations. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Co-authored-by: Joshen Lim <joshenlimek@gmail.com> |

Security definer materialized view (#40800)
Fixes #40799 Now, the correct error will be shown for materialized views accessible to `anon` and `authenticated` roles via Data API, instead of the unrelated "Security Definer view" error. For convenience, users can immediately fix the issue by running the correct SQL query to revoke select from `anon` and `authenticated`, just by clicking on "confirm" on the confirmation modal I just created. https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/f3ce9353-4ad0-4063-bf33-0b403f5fa87a Before <img width="958" height="440" alt="materialized" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/89047c91-da35-4b9f-b7e3-82e877bcf2c6" /> Edit: Thanks to the review by @saltcod, I now realise that revoking access from `anon` and `authenticated` users might not be the optimal solution since it would break many projects relying on the access to materialized views. After pondering on the possible solutions, I figured there isn't an easy one, so I did away with the autofix button, and instead created a dialog explaining three possible options for the user, with a sample query under each one for convenience. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added clearer warnings when materialized views are accessible through the API. * Added a dialog explaining how to review and revoke API access for materialized views. * Added guidance and code examples for restricting access to API roles. * Added a link to the Security Advisor for additional information. * **Improvements** * Updated materialized view tooltips to accurately describe API accessibility. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Charis Lam <26616127+charislam@users.noreply.github.com> |

feat(studio): add telemetry for explorer/sql editor temporary switch buttons (#49898)
## Summary Add PostHog event tracking for the two new buttons introduced in PR supabase/supabase#49698 that allow users to temporarily switch between the Explorer and SQL Editor: * **Explorer button**: "Back to SQL Editor" button in the Explorer sidebar title bar now fires `explorer_temp_access_sql_editor_clicked` event * **SQL Editor button**: "Back to Explorer" button in the SQL Editor title bar (shown during temporary visits) now fires `sql_editor_back_explorer_clicked` event Both event interfaces follow the repo's telemetry-standards conventions, carrying only `groups: TelemetryGroups` property with no additional custom properties. ## Test plan - [X] Verify `explorer_temp_access_sql_editor_clicked` event fires in PostHog when clicking "Back to SQL Editor" button in Explorer - [X] Verify `sql_editor_back_explorer_clicked` event fires in PostHog when clicking "Back to Explorer" button in SQL Editor - [X] Run typecheck: `pnpm typecheck` passes without errors - [X] Run lint: `pnpm lint --filter=studio` passes ## Issue Resolves [FE-4213](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/FE-4213/explorer-set-up-telemetry-for-metrics-where-appropriate) ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Analytics** * Added tracking for navigation from the Explorer to the SQL Editor. * Added tracking for returning from the SQL Editor to the Explorer. |

feat(explorer): add path back to SQL Editor for snippet access (#49698)
## I have read the [CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) file. YES ## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Feature ## What is the current behavior? Users who have opted into the Explorer feature preview have no way back to the SQL Editor from within Explorer, so they can't easily check their old snippets. ## What is the new behavior? - The Explorer sidebar title bar now has a button (using the same icon as the SQL Editor/Explorer nav entry) that links to the SQL Editor, with a tooltip explaining it's a temporary switch to access snippets. - Clicking it marks the visit as temporary in localStorage, which surfaces a matching "Back to Explorer" button in the SQL Editor title bar. Clicking that button clears the temporary flag and returns to Explorer. - Fixed the product menu title bar badge slot to sit flush right instead of directly next to the title text. ## Additional context <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added a quick switch from the Explorer to the project’s SQL Editor. * Added a “Back to Explorer” option in the SQL Editor when opened from Explorer. * Added tooltips to clarify these navigation actions. * Navigation state is preserved per project for a smoother return experience. * **UI Improvements** * Improved product menu spacing and title truncation for better layout handling. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

feat(billing): adds non-dismissable modal for indirect tax declaration (#49643)
### Summary This PR adds a blocking dashboard modal for affected Australian customers to confirm their GST registration and business use of Supabase. KPMG requires us to collect this declaration from certain existing Australian customers. The backend now identifies organizations that still need to respond using `requires_indirect_tax_declaration` and stores their `yes` or `no` response in Orb customer metadata. It also supports email links with `submit_indirect_tax_declaration=true` and shows a dismissible confirmation when the organization has already responded. ### Testing #### Manual testing - Confirmed the modal appears for an affected organization without an existing response and cannot be dismissed. - Submitted both `yes` and `no` and confirmed the modal remains closed after a refresh. - Confirmed the declaration is stored without changing the customer's Tax ID. - Confirmed the modal does not appear for non admins/owners or organizations that do not require a declaration. - Confirmed the email-link parameter shows the already-submitted confirmation only for organizations that have responded, and is removed when dismissed. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added an indirect tax declaration dialog for eligible Australian organizations. * Users with billing permissions can select “Yes” or “No” and submit their declaration. * Added a dismissible confirmation for declarations submitted through a linked prompt. * The dialog requires an explicit response and provides guidance when no option is selected. * **Bug Fixes** * Declaration prompts remain visible through submission confirmation and close when dismissed. * Users without billing permissions do not see the dialog. * Success notifications no longer overlap with the confirmation dialog. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Julian Domke <68325451+juleswritescode@users.noreply.github.com> |

feat(studio): restore workers secrets page FE-4280 (#49762)
## Problem Workers Secrets was merged in #49589 into the stacked jordi/workers-detail branch. The parent Workers PR reached master without that child merge, leaving the page absent from staging. ## Fix Cherry-pick the missing Workers Secrets route, menu item, shared-secret copy, and generated route tree onto current master. The page uses the existing workers flag and permission gates. ## How to test - Enable the workers flag for a project with Workers access. - Open Workers, then select Secrets. - Expected result: the shared project secrets page renders at /project/:ref/workers/secrets and is not treated as a worker named secrets. - Add, edit, or delete a secret, then confirm the same value appears under Edge Functions, Secrets. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added a **Secrets** page to the Workers section. * Added navigation to Worker secrets from the Workers menu. * Displayed default secrets and deployment-specific guidance where applicable. * Clarified that platform secrets are shared between Edge Functions and Workers. * Updated deletion warnings to reflect shared secret usage. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

chore(studio): refine Explorer toolbar, chat, and home actions (#49748)
## Summary - Unify Explorer toolbar actions: 16px / 2px Lucide icons, `text-tertiary-foreground` that becomes `text-foreground` on hover (Analyze icon goes brand on hover). - Soften chat scroll edges with top/bottom fades, and align the composer width with the conversation content (`px-7` + `max-w-3xl`). - Put **Run SQL** first on Explorer home, and rename the tab-bar new-tab item from “New query” to **Run SQL** so it matches. ## Test plan - [ ] Open Explorer and check query, notebook, and chat toolbars: icons are 16px, muted by default, and go to foreground on hover. Analyze on a notebook with cells: icon goes brand on hover; empty notebook still disables Analyze. - [ ] Open a query tab: source menu, result settings, save, and more-options all look like the other toolbar actions (including while the dropdown is open). - [ ] Open Explorer chat: scroll a long thread and confirm top/bottom fades sit on the chat surface. Composer lines up with message width (not inset extra). - [ ] On Explorer home, **Run SQL** is the first card; clicking it still opens a SQL tab. - [ ] From the tab bar **+** menu, the first item is **Run SQL** (not “New query”); it still creates a SQL tab. **New notebook** and **New chat** still work. Made with [Cursor](https://cursor.com) <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **UI Improvements** * Standardized Explorer toolbar icons for consistent sizing and visual weight. * Updated toolbar action colors, hover states, and keyboard-focus visibility. * Reordered Explorer home actions so “Run SQL” appears first. * Renamed “New query” to “Run SQL” in the new-tab menu. * Improved query source and settings toolbar controls. * Refined AI assistant chat layout with centered content, decorative gradients, and improved focus styling. * Added hover styling for the notebook Analyze action. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Cursor <cursoragent@cursor.com> |

fix(studio): hide legacy API keys on High Availability projects (#49552)
Multigres (High Availability) projects ship with legacy API keys disabled and the management API rejects re-enabling them, so the Dashboard should not surface them at all. fix(studio): make menu links reliable (#49584)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Bug fix. Resolves [FE-4192](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/FE-4192/org-and-project-selectors-sometimes-dont-register-selections). ## What is the current behavior? Navigation actions sometimes nest links inside command or dropdown menu items. Closing the menu during selection can prevent the nested link navigation from registering. ## What is the new behavior? - Adds a documented Studio CommandItemLink composition that wraps command items with their navigation link. - Migrates all Studio command-item links, including organisation, project, function, database, branch, and integration actions. - Uses the dropdown menu asChild composition for both infrastructure-diagram Manage replica actions. - Preserves native link behaviour and leaves disabled command items non-navigable. ## To test - [ ] [Organisation and project selectors](https://studio-staging-git-dnywh-fe-4192-selector-links-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/org): open the organisation selector and try an organisation, All Organizations, and New organization. Open a project, then use the project selector to switch projects and open New project. Confirm every action navigates on the first click. - [ ] [Branch selector](https://studio-staging-git-dnywh-fe-4192-selector-links-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/project/_): in a project with branching enabled, open the branch selector. Switch branches and select Manage branches. Confirm both navigate on the first click. - [ ] [Database selector](https://studio-staging-git-dnywh-fe-4192-selector-links-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/project/_/observability/query-performance): open the Source selector. Switch between the primary database and a read replica if available, then select Create a new read replica. Confirm selections apply and the footer action navigates on the first click. - [ ] [Function selector](https://studio-staging-git-dnywh-fe-4192-selector-links-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/project/_/auth/hooks): select Add a new hook, choose a hook, select Postgres, then open the Postgres function selector and select New function. Confirm it navigates on the first click. - [ ] [Infrastructure diagram](https://studio-staging-git-dnywh-fe-4192-selector-links-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/project/_/settings/infrastructure): for a project with a read replica, select Manage replica from both diagram variants. Confirm the replica settings open on the first click. - [ ] On any navigational row above, modifier-click and confirm native link behaviour is preserved. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added consistent link navigation across organization, project, branch, function, replica, and integration menus. * Added project-specific destinations to organization and project selectors. * Preserved disabled-item behavior while improving accessible command-menu link semantics. * **Bug Fixes** * Improved navigation and menu-closing behavior for command items and dropdown actions. * **Tests** * Added coverage for link destinations, accessibility roles, disabled states, and route preservation. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

feat(www + studio): broaden Select 2026 banner reach and soften www edges (#49569)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Feature polish for the Select 2026 promotion. ## What is the current behavior? - Studio only shows the Select Banner Stack card inside `ProjectLayout` (project routes). - www glyph fields read as hard rectangles on each side of the announcement banner. ## What is the new behavior? - Studio registers the Select banner from `AppBannerWrapper`, so it also appears outside project context (org / account surfaces). - www fields use per-row widths with edge alignment: top/middle shorter, bottom longer, growing inward from each side for a softer silhouette. https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/c5275967-63d0-40dd-a472-e3db08d1c39d ## To test - **Studio (non-project):** open an org home or account page on the deploy preview. Confirm the Select Banner Stack card appears in the usual stack and dismisses as before. - **Studio (project):** open any project route. Confirm the same card still appears and does not double-register. - **www:** open the marketing homepage. On `sm+`, confirm each side of the cream announcement bar has a 3-row field where the bottom row reaches further inward than the top, and the middle row is shortest. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added the Select 2026 promotional banner to eligible hosted Studio environments. * Banner visibility reflects promotion status, platform eligibility, loading state, and dismissal preferences. * **Style** * Refined decorative field layouts with improved row alignment, mirrored visuals, and flexible sizing. * **Bug Fixes** * Updated visibility behavior so the banner is no longer tied to being inside a specific project. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

feat(www + studio): promote Select 2026 in www and Dashboard (#49511)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?
Feature. Promotes Supabase Select 2026 across www and the Dashboard.
## What is the current behavior?
There is no active Select promotion on www or in the Dashboard.
## What is the new behavior?
- Adds a dismissible Select 2026 banner above the www navigation.
- Adds a low-priority Banner Stack card across hosted Studio project
pages.
- Shares a lightweight pixel lockup and CSS-only motion across both
surfaces, with light, dark, and reduced-motion treatments.
- Opens the application page in a new tab and automatically expires both
placements after October 2 in San Francisco.
## To test
- Open `/database` on the www preview. Confirm the banner is legible in
light and dark mode, the complete message remains visible at a phone
width, and the CTA opens `select.supabase.com` in a new tab.
- Dismiss the www banner, then refresh the page. Confirm it stays
dismissed.
- Open any `/project/{ref}` route in the Dashboard preview. Confirm the
Select card appears in the bottom-right Banner Stack behind
higher-priority notices.
- Dismiss the Dashboard card, navigate to another project page, and
confirm it stays dismissed.

feat(studio): CLI deploy instructions for workers (FE-4191) (#49194)
## What The surface that shows you how to deploy a worker from the CLI, plus the product rename and the alpha framing. - **Compute → Workers.** `PRODUCT_NAME` and `CLI_NAME` now say `Workers` / `workers`, so the sidebar, page title, command menu, and every generated snippet match the CLI. One name, not two. - **`DeployWorkerDialog`** — scaffold / configure / push, with copyable `supabase workers` and `config.toml` snippets - **`WorkersEmptyState`** — an `EmptyStatePresentational` with a permission-gated deploy action - **`AlphaNotice`** on the list page, and a **New** badge on the sidebar entry (`Route.isNew`) - **`WorkerSnippetTabs`** — CLI, `config.toml`, and curl/JS/Python calls built from one worker shape. Reused by #49195. Snippet URLs resolve from the project's `app_config.endpoint` (`https://<project>/workers/v1/<name>`, the same shape as `/functions/v1/`), and fall back to `[YOUR WORKER URL]` before settings load rather than printing a wrong host. ## How to test Only on the **Mockamaster** project in staging — it is the one project in the alpha allow-list. 1. Staging dashboard → Mockamaster → **Workers** (the sidebar entry carries a **New** badge) 2. **Deploy a worker** → step through the tabs; every snippet should name the real worker URL, not a placeholder 3. Copy the cURL snippet and run it: expect `401`. Reaching a deployed worker needs a second allow-list (`WORKERS_ALLOWED_PROJECTS` in api-gateway `customer-router/wrangler.toml`), separate from the flag that unlocks the dashboard. 4. Open a project with no workers to see the empty state ## Tests `workerSnippets.test.ts` covers the generated output users copy: worker URL in all three call snippets, the `[YOUR WORKER URL]` fallback, anon vs service-role placeholder, empty-name fallback and trimming, runtime default, and every `config.toml` field. ## Unverified copy The dialog steps and the `supabase workers ` subcommands come from the original POC spec, not from the shipped CLI. Same for "Dockerfile, Node.js and Deno supported" in the empty state — only Deno is confirmed end to end. Worth a check by someone who knows the CLI surface. feat: Add a config drift page in Studio (#48906)
## New Features - Initial work for showing configuration drift in Studio - This only works for Github-connected projects and it'll show a banner if the project state differs from the git-tracked `config.toml` - Currently behind a feature-flag `ConfigDrift`, enabled on local and staging. - There might be drift shown without changing any setting, this is work-in-progress. <img width="1217" height="1195" alt="Screenshot 2026-08-19 at 23 12 10" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/fb0b18d8-1a93-4595-85cc-e8b8a3462847" /> ## How to test 1. Connect a project to a Github repo 2. Resync the branch on `/dashboard/project/_/branches`. This will trigger deployment of the `config.toml` on your project 3. Change some settings (I recommend `dashboard/project/_/auth/providers` 4. A banner should appear on all project pages with a link ## Tests - Added coverage for configuration conversion, normalization, matching, drift detection, and unmanaged settings. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

fix: hand off AI assistant to the project page in org view (#49477)
Fixes FE-4200, FE-4206. ## What is the current behavior? Submitting a support ticket from an org-level page (with no project in the URL) shows a "While you wait" AI assistant card. However, the assistant is built around project-scoped context from the URL, so making it work here required adding project-context fallbacks across several features. Two previous PRs addressed individual issues, but testing continued to surface the same underlying problem in other areas, including chat persistence, message rating, table browsing, and SQL editor actions. - **#49244** - **#49430** Rather than keep adding fallbacks, this PR removes the underlying context mismatch. ## What is the new behavior? When a support ticket is submitted from an org-level page, the "While you wait" card now links to the relevant project instead of trying to run the AI Assistant without real project context. The link opens the project with the AI Assistant sidebar and hands off the support ticket. The chat is created there, so project-scoped features like schema browsing, SQL actions, message rating, and chat persistence work natively without special-casing. If there’s no relevant project, the card isn’t shown. The ticket form also restores the "No specific project" option for cases where the auto-selected project isn't relevant. ## Additional context Also fixes ?sidebar= deep links not opening the sidebar after client-side navigation. LayoutSidebarProvider now reacts to URL param changes instead of only checking on initial load. ## How to test 1. Submit a project-related support ticket from an org-level page. 2. Confirm the "While you wait" card shows "Open Assistant in project". 3. Click it and confirm the correct project opens with the AI Assistant sidebar and support chat active. 4. Verify project-scoped features work, such as schema questions and Edit query / Run. 5. Refresh and confirm the chat persists. 6. fix(studio): give two DropdownMenuTriggers asChild so they stop nesting buttons (#49264)
## I have read the [CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) file. YES ## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Bug fix. Two `DropdownMenuTrigger`s wrap a `Button` without `asChild`, so each renders a `<button>` inside a `<button>`. One of them also loses its `aria-label`, leaving an icon-only menu trigger with no accessible name. ## What is the current behavior? `DropdownMenuTrigger` forwards to `DropdownMenuPrimitive.Trigger`, which renders its own `<button>` unless `asChild` is set. So this: ```tsx <DropdownMenuTrigger> <Button variant="default" className="px-1" icon={<MoreVertical />} aria-label={`Open actions for ${hook.title}`} /> </DropdownMenuTrigger> ``` produces `<button><button/></button>`, which is invalid HTML, and puts the props on the inner element rather than on the thing that actually opens the menu. Measured by rendering `HookCard` before and after, rather than reasoning about it: | | before | after | | --- | --- | --- | | `container.querySelectorAll('button button').length` | 1 | 0 | | `aria-label` on `[aria-haspopup="menu"]` | `null` | `Open actions for Send Email` | That second row is the part worth caring about. The `aria-label` was written deliberately for a button whose only content is a `MoreVertical` icon, and it lands on the nested inner button instead of the trigger, so a screen reader gets no name for the control it actually operates. Two sites: - `components/interfaces/Auth/Hooks/HookCard.tsx`, the per-hook actions menu. This is the one with the orphaned `aria-label`. - `components/layouts/ProjectLayout/PauseFailedState.tsx`, the overflow menu next to "Download backup". ## What is the new behavior? Both get `asChild`, so the `Button` becomes the trigger. No nesting, and the props land where they were meant to. ## Additional context #48948 fixed exactly this in `RestoreFailedState.tsx`, which sits in the same directory as `PauseFailedState.tsx` and has the same overflow-menu shape. This is that fix applied to the two places it was not. I swept all 4398 `.tsx` files across studio, www, docs, design-system, ui-library, `packages/ui` and `packages/ui-patterns` for any Radix-style trigger (`DropdownMenu`, `Tooltip`, `Popover`, `Dialog`, `Sheet`, `AlertDialog`, `HoverCard`, `Collapsible`, `ContextMenu`, `Menubar`, `Select`, `Tabs`, `Accordion`) that wraps a button-like element without `asChild`. After discarding one false positive in `EdgeFunctionDetails.tsx`, where the `Button` is a sibling of `TabsTrigger` inside `TabsList` rather than its child, these two are the only ones left. So this should be the end of the pattern rather than the start of a series. No test added, matching what #48948 did for the same change. The `asChild` behaviour belongs to Radix, and a test asserting DOM nesting around two JSX attributes would be testing the library. I did verify it the other way round while developing: a throwaway render assertion failed on unmodified master with a nested-button count of 1 and a null trigger `aria-label`, and passed after the change. Happy to commit that assertion if you would rather have it in the suite. Gates: `test:prettier` passes repo wide, `typecheck --filter=studio --force` passes 9/9, `--filter studio run lint:ratchet` reports rules improved, and the tests covering both touched directories pass (18 files, 143 tests, including the `RestoringState` suite that came in with #48948). Freshman contributor. Found this with Claude Code's help by checking whether the `asChild` fix in #48948 had siblings, and I confirmed the nesting and the missing accessible name myself before touching anything. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Bug Fixes** * Improved dropdown menu trigger behavior in the authentication hooks and project layout interfaces. * Existing buttons now correctly serve as menu triggers without changing available actions or menu behavior. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

feat(studio): point replica deep links at Infrastructure and recommend compute (#48921)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Feature. Stack 5 of 5 (tip) for [PIPE-1007](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/PIPE-1007/move-read-replicas-out-of-replication-into-infrastructure). ## What is the current behavior? Selectors still open Replication with `destinationType=Read+Replica`. Compute eligibility actions leave the add-replica flow without carrying a recommended size into the Infrastructure form. ## What is the new behavior? DatabaseSelector and the SQL submenu open Infrastructure `?addReplica=true`. Change to Small/XL compute waits for the sheet to close, pre-selects that size, then focuses and scrolls the Infrastructure form to Compute without shifting the page footer. ## Additional context Last stack PR. [#49043](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49043) has merged. Please review, but do not merge until 2→4 are also approved. Then merge [#49044](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49044) → [#49045](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49045) → [#49046](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49046) → this PR in succession, and drop the `do-not-merge` labels. Update the read replicas getting-started doc in the same sitting so it points only at Infrastructure (it currently also links Database → Replication). Remaining stack: [#49044](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49044) → [#49045](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49045) → [#49046](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49046) → this PR ## To test `infrastructure:read_replicas` is an enabled-feature, on by default. There is no Feature Preview or ConfigCat switch. You should already see the Infrastructure Read replicas section. If you do not, your profile lists `infrastructure:read_replicas` in `disabled_features`. 1. [Infrastructure](https://studio-staging-git-dnywh-choreread-replicas-in-829a4b-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/project/_/settings/infrastructure): topology, Read replicas, Scaling. 2. Add read replica. If blocked on compute, Change to Small compute: sheet closes, Small is selected and focused, the price footer is dirty, and no blank page gap appears. 3. From the SQL editor database selector, Add replica should open Infrastructure, not Replication. |

feat(studio): workers list behind the workers flag (FE-4188) (#49193)
## What
The Workers list page at `/project/[ref]/workers`, behind
`useFlag('workers')`. Reads `GET /v2/projects/{ref}/workers`.
- Sidebar and command-menu entries, both hidden when the flag is off
- Name search, state and access filters, pagination
- Read-only
Gating, in order: flag off redirects to the project home; a 404 from the
API means the project is outside the alpha allow-list ("not enabled for
this project"); a 403 means the caller lacks the permission
(`NoPermission`); anything else is an `AlertError`.
`parseWorker` in `data/workers/workers.utils.ts` is the only place the
API shape becomes the view model. It validates with zod, so a drifted
response fails the query instead of half-rendering a row.
## How to test
Only on the **Mockamaster** project in staging — it is the one project
in the alpha allow-list, and standing a worker up anywhere else is
involved right now.
1. Staging dashboard → Mockamaster → **Compute** in the sidebar
2. Expect the `dashboard-test` worker: state `Active`, runtime Deno,
private, US West, 2 GB · 1 vCPU · 1 inst
3. Open any other project's `/workers` URL → "Compute is not enabled for
this project"
4. Turn the `workers` flag off → the sidebar entry disappears and the
URL redirects to the project home
Closes FE-4188

fix(studio): reset rename form between same-named SQL snippets (#49275)
## I have read the [CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) file. YES ## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Bug fix ## What is the current behavior? In the SQL Editor, when two snippets are both named "Untitled query" and one is renamed, the rename modal's state is not reset afterwards. Opening the rename modal for the second snippet prefills the input with the first snippet's new name, and the second snippet can't be renamed at all because the "Rename query" button stays disabled. `RenameQueryModal` fed the snippet to react-hook-form through the `values` option, which only re-runs its reset when the values object deep-changes. Two snippets with the same name (and no description) produce a deep-equal object, so switching between them never resets the form — it keeps the previously renamed name and stays non-dirty. ## What is the new behavior? The form is mounted per snippet (`key={snippet.id}`) with plain `defaultValues`, so no form state can carry over between snippets regardless of name collisions. `SQLEditorNav` derives modal visibility from the selected snippet and clears it on cancel/complete, matching `SearchList`. Covered by a new component test in `RenameQueryModal.test.tsx` that renames one "Untitled query", reopens the modal for a second one, and asserts the field resets and the second rename submits. ## Additional context <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Bug Fixes** * Fixed the rename dialog retaining input from a previously renamed snippet. * Ensured the rename form resets correctly after successful submission and when switching between snippets. * **Tests** * Added regression coverage for renaming multiple untitled snippets with the same original name. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

fix(studio): only show restore completion once the restore has run (#48948)
Resolves [FE-4144](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/FE-4144/restore-flow-shows-completion-before-restore-is-actually-done) ## Problem `RestoringState` treated any `ACTIVE_HEALTHY` reading from the project status endpoint as "restore finished". Right after a restore is triggered the backend still reports the pre-restore status, so the first poll could land on `ACTIVE_HEALTHY` and flip the UI to "Restoration complete!" seconds into a restore that had barely started. `isCompleted` was local state nothing reset and polling stopped on that first reading, so the screen never self-corrected — "Return to project" then hung until a manual refresh. ## Changes - Gate completion on having observed the project leave the healthy state, so a stale pre-restore reading is no longer mistaken for a finished restore. - Keep polling through an unconfirmed healthy reading instead of stopping on it. - `onConfirm` clears its loading flag rather than relying on the layout to unmount the component. - Component tests covering both the premature completion and the stuck button. ## Needs validation Not yet verified against a real restore — please confirm on staging before merging. Worth checking in particular that a restore which completes normally still reaches the completion screen. There is one residual edge case left in place deliberately: if the details endpoint reports `RESTORING` while the status endpoint reports `ACTIVE_HEALTHY`, the UI now stays on "Restoration in progress" until the details query catches up. Fixing that properly needs an authoritative "restore initiated at" timestamp from the API, which does not exist today. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit - **Bug Fixes** - Improved project restoration tracking to prevent completion from being reported prematurely. - Restoration now correctly detects failures and stops polling when appropriate. - Restore status and saved transition information are cleared after successful completion or failure. - Confirmation actions now remain reliable while project details refresh. - Restoring controls become usable again after the process finishes. - Improved the restore menu trigger behavior for more consistent interaction. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Alaister Young <10985857+alaister@users.noreply.github.com> |

feat(studio): remove unified logs banner and deprioritise tos banner (#49239)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Studio UI cleanup for sidebar BannerStack items and Unified Logs preview defaults. ## What is the current behavior? The sidebar BannerStack shows both a Unified Logs promo banner and a Terms of Service update notice. Unified Logs has been default opt-in for a while, and the ToS banner currently shares priority with other higher-value notices. The default opt-in behaviour is still gated behind the `unifiedLogsDefaultOptIn` feature flag. Closes [DEPR-646](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/DEPR-646/remove-unified-logs-banner-and-deprioritise-tos-banner). | Before | | --- | | <img width="1024" height="759" alt="5717" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/1a19e6f6-0c7f-49e8-8e7e-9f83196b2353" /> | ## What is the new behavior? - Removes the Unified Logs BannerStack item and its component - Keeps the ToS update banner but lowers its priority so other banners surface first - Sets Unified Logs `isDefaultOptIn` to `true` and removes `unifiedLogsDefaultOptIn` flag usage ## To test - Open any project in Studio (e.g. `/project/<ref>`) - Confirm the sidebar BannerStack no longer shows the "Unified Logs is here" banner - If you have not dismissed the ToS notice and it is still before the expiry date, confirm it still appears but sits behind higher-priority banners (e.g. free micro upgrade on eligible projects) - Open `/project/<ref>/logs` and confirm Unified Logs loads by default for users who have not previously toggled the preview off ## After merge - [ ] Retire the `unifiedLogsDefaultOptIn` PostHog flag <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit - **New Features** - Unified Logs preview is now enabled by default when available, while preserving individual user choices. - **Bug Fixes** - Terms of Service update notifications now appear with higher priority. - **Changes** - Removed the Unified Logs promotional banner, including related navigation, dismissal, and tracking behavior. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |
