Danny White ec53175b8a refactor(ui): rename text-brand to text-primary (#50564)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Refactor. Follow-up to #49871.

## What is the current behavior?

Branded (green) text still uses the `text-brand` classname while the
colour comes from `--primary`.

## What is the new behavior?

**Rename-only:** `text-brand` → `text-primary` across callsites and
docs. Leftover `bg-brand` / `border-brand` alias to `brand-default`. No
intentional colour changes in this PR.

This better matches how we treat our green in other components and
props, like `variant="primary"` for green buttons.

## To test

On light mode: smoke-test that branded text still looks like #49871
(readable green, not the bright fill).

Danny WhiteandJoshen Lim a31ca2bad0 fix(ui): make brand text readable across themes (#49871)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Bug fix and design-system update. Resolves DEPR-316.

Follow-up rename (`text-brand` → `text-primary`) is in a dedicated PR
(https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/50564) stacked on this one.

## What is the current behavior?

`text-brand` resolves to the canonical bright brand green in places that
need readable text, which fails WCAG AA on light surfaces. A separate
`text-brand-display` token adds another green for large type.

## What is the new behavior?

- `text-brand` maps to accessible `--primary` (light mode darkened to
meet ~4.5:1 AA)
- `--hue` / `--primary-hue` aligned to 157.5
- `text-brand-display` removed; former display callsites use
`text-brand`
- Bright fills/borders stay on `brand-default`
- Design-system colour and typography docs updated

Monica Khoury be9c67a761 fix: warn that resetting the DB password affects pooler and read replicas (#50649)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Fixes:
[FE-3607](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/FE-3607/re-proper-ui-warning-when-changing-db-password).

## What is the current behavior?

`ResetDbPasswordDialog` (the "Reset database password" dialog, reachable
from Database Settings and the Connect sheet) only validates password
strength. It has no warning about what actually happens when the
password changes: the same password is shared across the direct
connection, the pooler, read replicas, and third-party integrations
(Warehouse, ORMs, backend services) that have it configured. Resetting
it silently breaks any of those still using the old value.

## What is the new behavior?

Adds an `Admonition` warning inside the shared `ResetDbPasswordDialog`
component explaining that the pooler, read replicas, and any
app/ORM/tool using the old password will be disconnected. Added to the
shared dialog itself (not the Database Settings page wrapper) so both
places it's embedded, the Database Settings page and the Connect sheet's
direct-connection step, get the warning automatically.

## Additional context

No behavior change to the reset flow itself, copy-only addition. No new
tests added since this doesn't introduce new logic/branches.

## Summary by CodeRabbit

- **Improvements**
- Added a warning to the database password reset dialog explaining that
the password is shared across all connection methods.
- Clarified that resetting the password disconnects the pooler, read
replicas, and applications, ORMs, or tools using the previous password.

Ali WaseemandJoshen Lim d72a29852c fix(studio): reject custom log time ranges outside the Date range (#50539)
Typing a 9-digit amount into the logs date picker's custom field built a
"Last N days" helper that subtracted past the representable `Date`
range, so `toISOString()` threw `RangeError: Invalid time value` while
rendering the helper list — crashing both Unified Logs and Logs
Explorer.

`parseCustomInput` now rejects those amounts, so oversized input behaves
like any other invalid input (empty helper list) instead of producing a
helper that throws.

Fixes FE-4426

<!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai
-->
## Summary by CodeRabbit

- **Bug Fixes**
- Logs date filters now reject excessively large day values outside the
supported date range.
  - Invalid date inputs no longer generate unusable date filter options.
- The date picker now displays guidance when an invalid custom format
produces no matching options.

- **Tests**
- Added coverage for out-of-range values and confirmed valid large date
ranges continue to work correctly.

Matt RossmanandJoshen Lim 4bb36b944f feat(studio): let High Compliance projects opt-in to Assistant data access (#50548)
Orgs with the HIPAA add-on had the Assistant's opt-in level forced to
`disabled` on any project marked High Compliance, regardless of what the
org picked in its AI settings. The restriction predated our AI provider
BAAs. The consequence is those users see the Assistant failing to answer
questions about their data w/ no clear path how to fix it, even though
the LLM provider supports this use case.

This PR removes these Assistant restrictions on the server and client so
those projects honor the org's chosen level. Braintrust conversation
tracing is unchanged and still blocked for these projects, see [this
test
case](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/b9800ccf16/apps/studio/lib/ai/braintrust-logger.test.ts#L16-L20).
See
[comments](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/AI-1153/allow-hipaa-orgs-to-opt-in-to-assistant-data-access-for-high#comment-485a0d46)
for legal approval and conditions.

The client-side changes enable features like "Debug with AI" on SQL
query failures, “Generate/Rename with AI” for snippet titles, and
generated Assistant chat titles for these customers.

The AI opt-in copy now adds a reminder to obtain consent from data
subjects, linking the [shared responsibility
model](https://supabase.com/docs/guides/deployment/shared-responsibility-model)
based also on [this
comment](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/AI-1153/allow-hipaa-orgs-to-opt-in-to-assistant-data-access-for-high#comment-f81ee610).

To test with a HIPAA-enabled project in staging, you can use this [Plan
Change
[Staging]](https://app.hex.tech/supabase/app/Plan-Change-Staging-032BD32jo1EaisCS85qunf/latest)
Hex to add the HIPAA add-on. Once the add-on is present, you can turn on
High Compliance from a project's settings. Also in org settings, crank
up the Assistant data opt-in level and verify the Assistant is able to
answer questions about the project's data.

My results testing with opt-in level "Schema, Logs & Database Data":

tools now follow organization AI opt-in settings rather than project
HIPAA status.
- Debugging assistance and AI actions remain available for eligible
users without additional HIPAA-based blocking.
- AI metadata warnings consistently show standard opt-in messaging and
permission settings.
- AI settings remind users to obtain consent before entering personal
data and link to shared responsibility guidance.

Alaister YoungandAlaister Young 240bfce7f6 [FE-4198] feat(studio): select a range of logs with shift-click (#50381)
Shift-clicking a log row checkbox now selects every row between the last
clicked row and the clicked one, so you can grab a consecutive block of
logs to copy without checking each one. Applies everywhere the shared
`LogTable` renders: Postgres/API/Auth/Edge Functions logs and the Logs
Explorer.

**Added:**
- `getShiftClickSelection` in `Logs.utils.ts`: pure helper that computes
the next selection from the ordered row keys, the current selection, the
anchor row, and the clicked row. Adds the inclusive range in either
direction. If the whole range is already selected it deselects the range
instead. Falls back to a plain toggle when there's no usable anchor.
Covered by unit tests, plus `LogTable` component tests for range select,
the no-anchor fallback, anchor clearing, and range deselect.

**Changed:**
- `LogTable` tracks the last toggled row as the range anchor (a ref,
since it's only read in handlers). The anchor is set by plain clicks,
shift-clicks, and the Shift+Space row toggle, and cleared whenever the
selection becomes empty (toggling off the last row, plain row click,
Escape, action bar clear, select-all then deselect-all, or a new query
loading).
- The checkbox cell handles `onClick` instead of `onCheckedChange` so
the shift key is available. Keyboard Space on a focused checkbox still
toggles it, since Radix dispatches a click for it.
- A shift mousedown on the checkbox cell is prevented so the browser
doesn't start a text selection across rows.

Unified Logs has its own row selection (TanStack Table) and is not
changed here.

## To test

- Open any log page with a decent number of rows, e.g. Postgres logs.
Click one checkbox, then shift-click a checkbox several rows below.
Every row in between should be checked and the action bar should show
the count. Repeat upward.
- Shift-click a range that's already fully selected: the range should
clear, and rows outside it stay as they were.
- Plain-click a row's message text (not the checkbox): side panel opens
and the selection clears. A following shift-click should just toggle
that one row.
- Press Escape or the action bar's clear button, then shift-click: also
just a single toggle.
- Focus a row with the arrow keys, press Shift+Space, then shift-click a
lower checkbox: the range should extend from the keyboard-toggled row.
- Tab to a checkbox and press Space: it should still toggle.
- After a shift-click, confirm no text is highlighted across the rows.
- Copy as JSON/Markdown/CSV still copies the selected rows in display
order.

<!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai
-->
## Summary by CodeRabbit

- **New Features**
- Added shift-click range selection to the logs table for selecting or
deselecting consecutive rows.
  - Preserved single-row selection when range selection is unavailable.
- Improved selection behavior when clearing selections or changing log
queries, preventing stale range anchors.

- **Tests**
- Added coverage for forward and reverse range selection, deselection,
partial selections, fallback behavior, and input immutability.

Jordi Enric 24f8549e41 fix(studio): open edge function logs from chart clicks FE-3922 (#50364)
## Problem

Clicking an invocation bar on the Edge Function overview did not
preserve the selected chart segment, so the destination could not open a
focused investigation window.

## Fix

Forward the clicked bar timestamp and navigate to Logs or Invocations
with an encoded, focused time range. Share the existing chart range
calculation and add real Recharts interaction coverage.

## How to test

- Open an Edge Function Overview page with invocation data.
- Click a populated bar in the Total Invocations chart.
- Expected result: Logs or Invocations opens with its and ite query
parameters centered on the clicked bar.
- Repeat with unified logs enabled and disabled to verify both
destinations.

<!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai
-->

## Summary by CodeRabbit

- **New Features**
- Clicking a bar in the Edge Function invocations chart now opens the
relevant logs or invocations view.
- The destination is focused on a time window surrounding the selected
invocation, making investigation faster.
- Chart bars now provide a pointer cursor to indicate they are
interactive.

- **Bug Fixes**
- Chart clicks without valid invocation data no longer trigger incorrect
navigation.

Danny White 476d4a5851 refactor(ui): drop redundant Button variant="default" props (#50161)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Mechanical cleanup on top of the Button default-variant change (#50160).

## What is the current behavior?

Many callsites still pass `variant="default"` even though that is now
the component default.

## What is the new behavior?

Removes redundant static `variant="default"` from legacy `Button` and
`ButtonTooltip` callsites. Keeps explicit defaults where they document
the API:

- `button-default.tsx` and `button-sizes.tsx` demos
- `DocsButton`, which pins neutral styling at the wrapper boundary

## To test

- [Project Settings → API

Gildas GarciaandAlaister Young 737b8595f2 Update API types (#50234)
## Problem

platform, v1 and v2 have been already completely migrated and introduced
some changes.

Some types have been renamed, some outputs and inputs updated.

## Solution

- Update the API types
- Fix the TS errors

## Update

Taking this over to unblock #50134, which needs the new scoped token
permission ids from the regenerated types.

- Merged `master`.
- Regenerated `api-v2.d.ts` from the production spec. The previous files
came from a local API that exposed a webhook events endpoint production
doesn't have yet. Production has since added standardized 400 error
responses on the v2 organization endpoints. `api-v1.d.ts` and
`platform.d.ts` already matched production.
- Fixed `verify-production-types`. It formatted the regenerated files in
a temp directory outside the repository, so Prettier fell back to its
defaults and the comparison could never match the committed files. It
now passes the repository config explicitly. `pnpm api:verify-types`
passes on this branch.
- Verified locally: `pnpm typecheck`, `pnpm api:verify-types`, Studio
unit tests.

Danny White e57aae3c83 feat(design-system): document disabled controls and add focusableWhenDisabled (#50068)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Docs update, with supporting `ui` and Studio changes.

## What is the current behaviour?

Disabled buttons with tooltips use native `disabled`, which removes them
from the tab order. Keyboard users cannot focus the control or read the
tooltip explaining why an action is blocked.

The design system also lacked guidance on keeping disabled actions
discoverable and explaining why they are unavailable.

## What is the new behaviour?

- Adds a **Disabled controls** section to the accessibility docs, with
live examples for a focusable disabled button and visible page-level
context
- Adds `focusableWhenDisabled` to `Button`, keeping `disabled` as the
semantic state while using `aria-disabled`, retaining keyboard focus,
and guarding click handlers
- Updates Studio's `ButtonTooltip` to make disabled buttons with tooltip
text focusable automatically

Also includes earlier design-system fixes on this branch:

- Centralises `BASE_PATH` with a `/design-system` fallback so asset URLs
work without a local `.env` file
- Fixes sidebar hover and active tokens in design-system and ui-library,
aligned with Studio's `InnerSideMenuItem`

## To test

**Design system**

1. Open the [accessibility
preview](https://design-system-git-fix-design-system-docs-and-nav-fixes-supabase.vercel.app/design-system/docs/accessibility)
2. Scroll to **Disabled controls**
3. Tab to the **disabled-focusable** example. Confirm the button remains
focusable, looks disabled, and shows its tooltip on focus
4. Confirm the **disabled-unavailable-with-notice** example shows the
admonition and focusable disabled button pattern

**Studio (optional, requires a High Availability project)**

5. Go to Settings → General → **Pause project**. Tab to the button and
confirm it remains focusable, looks disabled, and shows the HA tooltip
on focus
6. Go to Database → Backups and find **Restore** on a scheduled backup
row. Confirm the same behaviour

1966209483 chore(deps): upgrade vitest to v5 (#49994)
Upgrades Vitest from 4.1.4 to 5.0.0 across the monorepo, fixes the
handful of things v5 turned into hard errors, and drops the
`vi.clearAllMocks()` boilerplate that v5's `clearMocks` default makes
redundant.

**Changed:**
- `vitest`, `@vitest/ui`, `@vitest/coverage-v8` 4.1.4 → 5.0.0 (catalog)
- `vi.mock` calls that lived inside `beforeAll`/`beforeEach`/test bodies
moved to module scope (v5 throws on nested calls). Affects the Studio
and docs setup files and four Studio tests.
- `detectBrowser` test restores `navigator` via `vi.unstubAllGlobals()`
instead of assigning `global.navigator`, which now reaches jsdom's
getter-only property.
- `RowEditor.utils.test.ts` restores its `JSON.stringify` spy. It used
to leak a throwing mock for the rest of the file, which v5's coverage
provider now trips over. A later test in the same file had been
asserting the leak's side effect (valid JSON reported as invalid) and
now asserts the correct behavior.
- `@testing-library/jest-dom` 6.6 → 7.0.1. Its vitest type augmentation
resolves through a peer now, so it lands on each package's own `vitest`
instead of whichever copy pnpm hoisted. Fixes `toBeInTheDocument` type
errors in dev-tools after the reshuffle.
- `@testing-library/react` 16.0.0 → 16.3.3 for the React 19 peer range.
- `vite: catalog:` added to dev-tools, www, and common. Without it they
resolved a newer vite than the catalog pin, which forked a second vitest
instance in the lockfile. There's now one.
- ai-commands custom matcher types use v5's `Matchers<R, T>` form.
- 110 test files: `vi.clearAllMocks()` removed from
`beforeEach`/`afterEach` hooks, along with hooks that only did that and
the imports they left unused. Calls that also reset/restore mocks are
untouched. Second commit, mechanical.

**Added:**
- `.vitest/` to the root gitignore (v5 writes JSON/JUnit/HTML reporter
output there)

**Removed:**
- `vite-tsconfig-paths` catalog entry and deps. Vitest 5 resolves
tsconfig paths itself.

Release-age note: this sat in draft with a temporary
`minimumReleaseAgeExclude` entry for `vitest` and `@vitest/*` while
5.0.0 was inside the workspace's 3-day `minimumReleaseAge` window. That
window has closed, so the exclusion is gone and nothing bypasses the
release-age gate.

**Perf** (local, medians of 3 runs, same machine):

| Suite | v4.1.4 | v5.0.0 |
|---|---|---|
| studio | 144.1s | 141.7s (-2%) |
| studio `--coverage` | 156.9s | 146.4s (-7%) |
| ui-patterns | 6.27s | 5.07s (-19%) |
| ui `--coverage` | 3.35s | 2.14s (-36%) |
| www | 0.89s | 0.47s (-47%) |

Studio is dominated by jsdom environment setup per file, which v5
doesn't change. `vitest doctor` recommends keeping the current pool
config: the vm pools and `isolate: false` all break tests.

## To test

- `pnpm install --frozen-lockfile` succeeds with no
`minimumReleaseAgeExclude` entry for vitest.
- CI: Studio unit tests, ui, ui-patterns, www, docs, and typecheck/lint
should all be green. The lint ratchet was checked locally: warning
counts on touched Studio files are identical to master.
- `pnpm test:studio` locally passes with coverage (588 files, 6240
tests).
- Open a Studio test that uses `toBeInTheDocument` in your editor and
confirm no type errors on jest-dom matchers, in Studio and in
`packages/dev-tools`.
- Known pre-existing failures unrelated to this PR: one dev-tools test
(`getEventCountBadge` capped pill) fails on master too.

## Summary by CodeRabbit

## Tests
- Improved test coverage for JSON validation and mobile navigation
behavior.
- Updated test setup, cleanup, environment configuration, and matcher
support across application and shared package suites.

Danny White 1131e3e2ce fix(ui): default Button variant to default instead of primary (#50160)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Bug fix / design-system alignment for the legacy `Button` from `ui`.

## What is the current behavior?

Omitting `variant` on the legacy `Button` falls back to brand-green
`primary`. That makes accidental greens easy, and it is hard to spot the
real main action on busy pages.

## What is the new behavior?

- Legacy `Button` now defaults to neutral `default`
- Intentional primary CTAs (create, save, submit, marketing CTAs, and
matching `ButtonTooltip` usages) now set `variant="primary"` so their
appearance is unchanged
- Neutral actions that previously relied on the old fallback (cancel,
close, back, dashboard nav, and similar) become grey/white
- Design-system docs updated; regression tests cover the new default

`Button_Shadcn_` is unchanged. It already uses its own CVA default.

This is PR 1 of 2 in a stack. PR 2 drops now-redundant
`variant="default"` props.

## To test

Studio (http://localhost:8082):

- `/sign-in`: Sign in stays green
- Open a project → Database → Tables: New table stays green
- Auth → Users → Invite: Invite user stays green; Cancel / dismiss
controls stay neutral
- Project Settings → General: edit a field so Cancel and Save appear.
Cancel is neutral, Save is green

Design system (http://localhost:3003):

- Components → Button: default demo is neutral; primary demo is green;
featured preview is the default variant

Marketing (optional):

- www header: Start your project stays green; logged-in Dashboard is
neutral

<!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai
-->
## Summary by CodeRabbit

- **Style**
- Buttons now default to a neutral style, while primary actions across
Studio, documentation, marketing pages, forms, dialogs, and error states
use prominent primary styling.
- Updated button examples and previews clarify the distinction between
default and primary variants.
  - Event registration now includes a directional arrow icon.

- **Tests**
- Added coverage confirming default button styling and explicit primary
styling behave as expected.
- Updated related test fixtures to use primary styling where
appropriate.

Miranda Limonczenko 23a5bd4707 fix: update inbound links to the pooling guide (#50187)
## I have read the
[CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md)
file.

YES

## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Bug fix. Link string changes only, no content changes.

## What is the current behavior?

Nine inbound links in `apps/www` and `apps/studio` point at anchors on
the connecting to Postgres guide that don't exist. All nine are already
broken on production today: `#connection-pooler`, `#connection-pool`,
`#how-connection-pooling-works`, `#serverside-poolers`, and
`#connecting-with-drizzle` are all missing from the live page.

#49869 moves the pooling content to a child page, so these links need
current destinations either way.

## What is the new behavior?

Point each link at the page that holds the content now.

- **Studio, 3 links.** The Connect sheet's Drizzle link goes to the
Drizzle guide. The connection pooling and pooling modes links go to
`pooling-and-limits#how-connection-pooling-works`.
- **www, 6 links.** Three blog posts, the Heroku comparison page, and
the Dedicated poolers feature entry go to `pooling-and-limits`. The
feature entry uses `#shared-pooler`.

## Additional context

Split out of #49869. These paths belong to `@supabase/marketing` and
`@supabase/Dashboard` in CODEOWNERS, and pulling both teams into a
docs-only restructure for nine link strings isn't a good trade.

Merge after #49928. The destinations don't exist on production until the
docs pages land.

## Manual testing

1. Open [Supavisor: Scaling Postgres to 1 Million
Connections](https://zone-www-dot-com-git-fix-pooler-docs-links-supabase.vercel.app/blog/supavisor-1-million).
The "connection pooling" link in the opening paragraph resolves to
`connecting-to-postgres/pooling-and-limits#how-connection-pooling-works`.
2. Open [Dedicated
poolers](https://zone-www-dot-com-git-fix-pooler-docs-links-supabase.vercel.app/features/dedicated-poolers).
The docs link resolves to `pooling-and-limits#shared-pooler`.
3. Open [Supabase vs Heroku
Postgres](https://zone-www-dot-com-git-fix-pooler-docs-links-supabase.vercel.app/alternatives/supabase-vs-heroku-postgres).
Both connection pooling links resolve to
`pooling-and-limits#how-connection-pooling-works`.
4. Open [Connection pooling and
limits](https://docs-git-docs-connecting-to-postgres-technical-supabase.vercel.app/docs/guides/database/connecting-to-postgres/pooling-and-limits)
on the #49928 docs preview. The `how-connection-pooling-works` and
`shared-pooler` headings both render with those IDs.
5. Open the Connect dialog on any project. Under Drizzle, the docs link
opens the Drizzle guide.
6. Open Database settings, then Connection pooling. The pooler link
opens Connection pooling and limits.

## Summary by CodeRabbit

* **Documentation**
* Updated connection pooling links across Studio, product pages, blogs,
and comparison content to point to the relevant pooling guidance.
* Refined links for Drizzle ORM, dedicated poolers, direct connections,
and shared poolers.
* Improved navigation to specific documentation sections explaining
connection pooling modes and behavior.

Danny WhiteandJoshen Lim 4a5db160be feat(studio): extract shared zod number input helpers (#50102)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Refactor. Extracts zod number input preprocessing into a shared Studio
helper and migrates existing call sites.

## What is the current behavior?

Number input clearing logic for controlled `type="number"` fields is
duplicated across Studio forms. The pipeline destination form had local
helpers, while Auth and settings forms inline the same `z.preprocess`
pattern.

## What is the new behavior?

Adds `apps/studio/lib/forms/zod-number-input.ts` with:

- `requiredNumberInputSchema` for required `z.number()` fields (`''` →
`NaN`)
- `optionalNumberInputSchema` for optional number fields (`''`/`null` →
`undefined`)
- `preprocessEmptyNumberInput` for `z.coerce.number()` schemas

Migrates:

- Pipeline destination form
- Connection pooling settings
- Auth provider validation (email and SMS OTP fields)
- SMTP settings
- MFA settings
- Protection settings

## To test

1. Open **Authentication > Providers > Email**, clear **Email OTP
expiration** or **Minimum password length**, and confirm the field stays
empty and shows validation on save.
2. Open **Authentication > Providers > Phone**, select a provider, clear
**SMS OTP Expiry**, and confirm validation still works.
3. Open **Authentication > Emails > SMTP settings**, clear **Port** or
**Rate limit**, and confirm validation on save.
4. Open **Authentication > Multi-factor authentication**, clear **Max
enrolled factors** or **Phone OTP length**, and confirm validation on
save.
5. Open **Database > Replication**, start a new pipeline, select
**BigQuery**, expand **Advanced settings**, clear a required numeric
field, and confirm it stays empty until filled.
6. (Optional, hosted non-HA projects only) Open **Database > Settings**,
scroll to **Connection pooling**, clear **Connection pool size**, and
confirm the value does not snap back before save.

<!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai
-->
## Summary by CodeRabbit

* **Bug Fixes**
* Improved handling of empty numeric fields across authentication, SMTP,
database replication, and connection pooling settings.
* Optional numeric settings can now be cleared without triggering
unnecessary validation errors.
* Required numeric fields continue to display appropriate validation
errors when left incomplete.
* Standardized validation behavior for OTP settings, password
requirements, SMTP limits, replication configuration, and pool sizing.
* Refined protection settings to focus on CAPTCHA and leaked-password
options.
* **Tests**
  * Added coverage for empty and optional numeric input behavior.

Alaister YoungandAlaister Young 0ddf2006d3 [FE-4337] feat(studio): block pause, restore, and add-ons on High Availability projects (#49990)
Studio-side guard for Multigres (`high_availability`) projects,
mirroring the platform API guard from supabase/platform#37527. Pause,
restore/PITR, and add-on affordances now show a clear "unavailable on
High Availability projects" state instead of failing with a 400 after
the click.

<img width="1195" height="632" alt="Screenshot 2026-09-04 at 2 03 11 PM"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/718c09f2-d92b-49dc-90ed-5d9ff810b03d"
/>

**Added:**
- Pause project button is disabled on HA projects with a tooltip
- Scheduled backups tab short-circuits to an HA empty state (matches the
existing PITR tab). Per-row Restore buttons are also disabled with a
tooltip as defense in depth, since BackupItem is reusable
- Restore to new project shows an HA admonition ahead of the permission
/ PG15 / physical-backup checks
- Add-ons page shows a page-level HA notice, all three rows are locked
with a tooltip, and the side panels are not mounted on HA so
`?panel=pitr|ipv4|customDomain` deep links are inert
- Component tests for `PauseProjectButton` and `BackupItem`, plus unit
tests for the new `isHighAvailability` branch in `Addons.utils.ts`

**Changed:**
- Add-ons rows are now consistent: the IPv4 row uses the same padlock
tooltip as PITR and custom domain instead of a tooltip on the badge.
Same disabled-reason strings as before, just surfaced via the padlock on
non-HA projects too
- `BackupItem` tooltip text extracted into a `getTooltipText()` function
(mirrors `PauseProjectButton`)
- `HighAvailabilityDisabledSectionNotice` accepts a `className`

Detection reuses the existing `useIsHighAvailability()` hook, which the
rest of Studio already treats as the Multigres signal.

## To test

Use an HA project (`project.high_availability === true`) and a normal
project.

HA project:
- Settings > General: "Pause project" is disabled, tooltip reads
"Pausing is unavailable on High Availability projects"
- Database > Backups > Scheduled backups: HA empty state, no "No backups
yet" / daily backup copy
- Database > Backups > Restore to new project: HA admonition, no restore
controls
- Settings > Add-ons: notice at the top, padlock on all three rows with
per-row tooltip, clicking rows does nothing, and `?panel=pitr` /
`?panel=ipv4` / `?panel=customDomain` open nothing

Normal project (regression):
- No "High Availability" strings on any of the above pages
- Pause button enabled (or disabled only for its usual reasons, e.g.
paid plan)
- Add-on rows open their side panels on click and via `?panel=pitr`
- Scheduled backups tab shows its normal list / empty state

<!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai
-->

## Summary by CodeRabbit

- **Features**
- High Availability projects now clearly indicate when scheduled
backups, backup restoration, project pausing, IPv4, PITR, and custom
domains are unavailable.
- Added explanatory notices, disabled controls, and tooltips throughout
affected settings and backup screens.
- Restore-to-new-project workflows now provide guidance to contact
support when unavailable.

- **Bug Fixes**
- Improved consistency of availability messaging across High
Availability project settings and database backup actions.

e0280cb650 docs: restructure observability navigation and overview (#49505)
<!-- CURSOR_AGENT_PR_BODY_BEGIN -->
## Stack

Draft stack extracted from `docs/monitoring`. Merge bottom-up. The
troubleshooting *catalog* rewrite (`content/troubleshooting` and the
Diagnosing UI) stays out of scope.

1. #49503 move inspect and advisors
2. #49501 split Studio logs from ClickHouse queries
3. #49500 treat reports as signal dashboards
4. #49502 add Observe the data hub
5. #49506 add agent setup components
6. #49504 add hire-an-agent templates
7. **#49505** restructure observability nav, overview, Detecting, and
flatten Observe the data ← **this PR**

## I have read the
[CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md)
file.

YES

## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Docs update. Top layer in the observability stack.

## What is the current behavior?

The section is still titled Monitoring and Debugging, with a Debugging /
Monitoring split that does not match the new pages. The debugging guide
is still the master layer-isolation + symptom table. Observe the data is
split into “what data” vs “where to observe it,” which duplicates the
source pages.

## What is the new behavior?

- Section title is Observability
- Overview groups Observe the data, Detect and resolve, Hire an agent,
and Export
- **Observe the data is flattened by source.** Logs, Metrics API,
Database, Advisors, and Reports each list where to read that source.
There is no separate MCP/API/CLI/Studio nav group.
- **Observe vs Detecting:** Observe is the catalog (what exists, how to
access it). Detecting is how to *use* those sources to pick up a Health
/ Security / Performance / Usage signal. Named errors skip to
Diagnosing.
- Studio Logs sits under Logs. Reports sits beside the other sources.
- Troubleshooting stays in the global menu and also appears as
Diagnosing under Detect and resolve

## Additional context

This is the last PR in the stack. Together the seven PRs reconstruct the
`docs/monitoring` observability IA and guide content, without shipping
the troubleshooting catalog overhaul.

Utkarash Kumar Singh 0c8dc73bf4 feat(upgrade): surface btree_gist NaN reindex warning (#49684)
## I have read the
[CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md)
file.

YES

## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Feature — studio counterpart of supabase/platform#37696 (PG 15.19/17.11
release, PSQL-1247).

## What is the current behavior?

The pre-upgrade warnings panel handles `ltree_reindex_required` and
`operator_estimator_gate` only.

## What is the new behavior?

Adds the `btree_gist_nan_reindex` warning (title, description, docs
link) emitted by the eligibility endpoint when a project has btree_gist
indexes on float columns and the upgrade crosses the 15.19/17.11
NaN-handling fix. Non-blocking, same pattern as #47003. `api-v1.d.ts`
union extended to match the platform spec.

## Additional context

Docs anchor targets the section added in #49621 — merge that first (or
together). Refs PSQL-1247.

Alaister YoungandAlaister Young a14fc04937 [MUL-1475] fix(studio): show setup state on HA topology diagram during boot (#49786)
While an HA (Multigres) project is provisioning, the `/ha-admin`
topology endpoints fail or return an empty topology as a matter of
course — the cluster topology diagram rendered that as a hard "Failed to
retrieve cluster topology" error (or the "Cluster topology unavailable"
contact-support state). The diagram now checks the project status and,
while the project is building (`COMING_UP`/`UNKNOWN`, same pair
`ProjectLayout` treats as booting), shows a "Setting up project" empty
state instead. Both the project-detail query (self-polls while booting)
and the ha-admin queries (30s interval) keep refetching, so the diagram
appears on its own once boot completes.

Once the project is past provisioning, genuine errors and the
empty-topology state surface exactly as before.

src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/3f095634-9939-41cd-88c3-0849cbad7374"
/>

**Added:**
- Component tests for the four states: booting + error, booting + empty
(→ setup state), running + error (→ error alert), running + empty (→
unavailable state)

Addresses
[MUL-1475](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/MUL-1475/polish-infra-diagram).

## To test

- On an HA project mid-provisioning (or simulate: dev toolbar
project-status override → `COMING_UP`, with `/ha-admin` requests
failing), open Settings → Infrastructure — the topology panel shows
"Setting up project" with a spinner, not the error alert
- On a healthy HA project, the topology diagram renders as before; if
`/ha-admin` genuinely fails there, the error alert still shows
- `pnpm --filter studio exec vitest run
components/interfaces/Settings/Infrastructure/InfrastructureConfiguration/HaInstanceConfiguration.test.tsx`

Danny White 0b27205ae4 fix(studio): clarify fast database reboot (#49741)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Bug fix. Resolves DEPR-657.

## What is the current behavior?

The Fast database reboot description suggests the action may fail to
recover from some failure modes, which can be read as a risk of the
reboot itself.

## What is the new behavior?

The description clearly explains that the faster option restarts only
the database service, has less downtime than a full project restart, and
leaves other project services running.

## To test

1. Open a project's **Settings > General** page.
2. Under **Project availability**, tab to **Restart project**, then tab
again to the adjacent chevron button.
3. Press Enter and confirm focus moves to **Fast database reboot**.
4. Confirm its description reads: “Restarts only the database service,
with less downtime than a full project restart. Other project services
remain running.”
5. Confirm the project availability descriptions appear as secondary
text beneath their action labels.

10950d286b chore(studio): address review comments on Multigres topology diagram (#49592)
<!-- ccr-slack-attribution -->
_Requested by **Alaister Young** · [Slack
thread](https://supabase.slack.com/archives/C0161K73J1J/p1787738517181409?thread_ts=1787635785.354489&cid=C0161K73J1J)_

Follow-up to #49298, which was squash-merged before @joshenlim's last
review round was addressed. Picking up the review comments here.

## I have read the
[CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md)
file.

YES

## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Chore — dead code removal and comment corrections. No behavior change.

## What is the current behavior?

Three of @joshenlim's review comments on #49298 are still open on
master:

- [Dead code in
`ha-cluster-cells-query.ts`](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49298#discussion_r3861029414)
— "seems to be dead code? no one's consuming this file"
- [Dead code in
`ha-cluster-databases-query.ts`](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49298#discussion_r3861031230)
— "likewise - seems to be dead code"
- [`STATUS_BADGE_VARIANTS`
statuses](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49298#discussion_r3861095281)
— "just to sanity check these are the only statuses? are there any
failure states? e.g 'Failed'"

Concretely, on master today:

- `apps/studio/data/ha-admin/ha-cluster-cells-query.ts` and
`apps/studio/data/ha-admin/ha-cluster-databases-query.ts` ship query
options that nothing imports. The diagram only reads `/poolers` and
`/gateways`.
- `multipoolerSchema.lifecycleStatus` is an undocumented `z.string()`,
while its neighbours `type` and `servingStatus` both list their expected
proto values in a comment.
- The comment above `HA_POOLER_STATUS_LABELS` claims the labels "Matches
the status vocabulary of the read replica surfaces (getStatusLabel)".
They don't — `getStatusLabel` in `ReadReplicas/ReadReplicas.utils.ts`
also returns `Failed`, `Restarting`, `Resizing` and `Restoring`, none of
which the HA labels have.

## What is the new behavior?

- Deleted both dead query modules and pruned the orphaned `cells` and
`databases` factories from `haAdminKeys`, keeping `poolers` and
`gateways`. Verified by grep that neither file name nor any of their
exported symbols (`haClusterCellsQueryOptions`, `HaClusterCellsData`,
`haClusterDatabasesQueryOptions`, `HaClusterDatabasesData`, the
`*Variables`/`*Error` types) nor `haAdminKeys.cells` /
`haAdminKeys.databases` has a single reference left anywhere outside the
deleted files. No re-export shims left behind. `get-ha-admin.ts` stays —
`poolers` and `gateways` still use it.
- Documented `lifecycleStatus` against the actual enum,
`PoolerLifecycleStatus` in [multigres
`proto/clustermetadata.proto`](https://github.com/multigres/multigres/blob/main/proto/clustermetadata.proto):
`LIFECYCLE_UNKNOWN` (zero value, omitted from JSON) | `STARTING` |
`ACTIVE` | `STOPPING` | `SHUTDOWN` | `QUARANTINED`. `getPoolerStatus`
already maps every member.
- Reworded the `HA_POOLER_STATUS_LABELS` comment to say the labels are a
subset drawn from the read replica vocabulary rather than a match for
it, and noted where the read replica `Failed` lands on the HA side.

**On the `Failed` question:** the answer from the proto is that there is
no dedicated failure member. The terminal states are `QUARANTINED` — the
pooler "has given up trying to become a healthy replica: it cannot
automatically recover to a functioning state (e.g. it could not complete
a pg_rewind, could not restore from backup to start postgres, or fell
irrecoverably behind on replication)", kept alive for forensics — and
`SHUTDOWN`, "durably down". Both already map to `unhealthy` / the
`Unhealthy` warning badge, so the four statuses on
`STATUS_BADGE_VARIANTS` are complete for the enum as it stands. If we'd
rather show `QUARANTINED` as its own `Failed` status with a destructive
badge (matching the read replica surface), that's a small follow-up — a
product/copy call rather than a gap, so not folded in here.

**Not included: [the replication page UX
comment](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49298#discussion_r3861055216)**
("is there any other content we plan to add here? it feels empty atm...
it's just a repeat of the home page + settings/infrastructure").
@joshenlim flagged that one himself as "UX feedback which can be
addressed separately". It's a product and IA question about what that
page is for, not something to answer with a code change here — leaving
it for @alaister and design.

## Additional context

- Verified locally: `tsc --noEmit` (0 errors), ESLint on the touched
files (clean), Prettier check (clean), and `HaTopology.utils.test.ts` +
`HaInstanceConfiguration.utils.test.ts` (26/26 passing). CI is green as
well.
- Exhaustive grep across the repo (excluding `node_modules`/`.git`/build
output, covering `apps/**` incl. `lite-studio`, `packages/**` and
`e2e/**`) confirmed zero remaining references to the deleted files,
their exported symbols, and the removed key factories.
- No test changes: the diff deletes unreferenced code and edits comments
only, so there's no new behavior to cover. `HaTopology.utils.test.ts`
already pins every `lifecycleStatus` value listed in the new comment.

Danny White 29ad86558c fix(studio): make menu links reliable (#49584)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Bug fix. Resolves
[FE-4192](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/FE-4192/org-and-project-selectors-sometimes-dont-register-selections).

## What is the current behavior?

Navigation actions sometimes nest links inside command or dropdown menu
items. Closing the menu during selection can prevent the nested link
navigation from registering.

## What is the new behavior?

- Adds a documented Studio CommandItemLink composition that wraps
command items with their navigation link.
- Migrates all Studio command-item links, including organisation,
project, function, database, branch, and integration actions.
- Uses the dropdown menu asChild composition for both
infrastructure-diagram Manage replica actions.
- Preserves native link behaviour and leaves disabled command items
non-navigable.

## To test

- [ ] [Organisation and project
selectors](https://studio-staging-git-dnywh-fe-4192-selector-links-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/org):
open the organisation selector and try an organisation, All
Organizations, and New organization. Open a project, then use the
project selector to switch projects and open New project. Confirm every
action navigates on the first click.
- [ ] [Branch
selector](https://studio-staging-git-dnywh-fe-4192-selector-links-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/project/_):
in a project with branching enabled, open the branch selector. Switch
branches and select Manage branches. Confirm both navigate on the first
click.
- [ ] [Database
selector](https://studio-staging-git-dnywh-fe-4192-selector-links-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/project/_/observability/query-performance):
open the Source selector. Switch between the primary database and a read
replica if available, then select Create a new read replica. Confirm
selections apply and the footer action navigates on the first click.
- [ ] [Function
selector](https://studio-staging-git-dnywh-fe-4192-selector-links-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/project/_/auth/hooks):
select Add a new hook, choose a hook, select Postgres, then open the
Postgres function selector and select New function. Confirm it navigates
on the first click.
- [ ] [Infrastructure
diagram](https://studio-staging-git-dnywh-fe-4192-selector-links-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/project/_/settings/infrastructure):
for a project with a read replica, select Manage replica from both
diagram variants. Confirm the replica settings open on the first click.
- [ ] On any navigational row above, modifier-click and confirm native
link behaviour is preserved.

Alaister YoungandAlaister Young 928049ce2c [FE-3717] feat(studio): Multigres cluster topology diagram (#49298)
Adds an infrastructure/topology diagram for High Availability
(Multigres) projects showing the real cluster topology — gateway tier,
shard group, and the primary + read replicas inside it — on both the
project homepage and the database/replication page, replacing the
primary-only view and the "Replication unavailable" empty state.

<img width="790" height="541" alt="Screenshot 2026-08-20 at 8 23 42 PM"
src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/0bce21e3-2091-4285-84ca-60fdecb10d39"
/>

Addresses
[FE-3717](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/FE-3717/show-replicas-in-replication-diagram).

**Added:**

- `data/ha-admin/` — read-only queries for the mgmt-api
`/ha-admin/v1/{gateways,poolers,cells,databases}` multiadmin passthrough
(ported from `bobbie/ha-stub`, re-authored to `queryOptions`). Responses
are validated with zod at the fetch boundary (all fields optional per
proto3 zero-value omission; enum-shaped fields stay plain strings so new
proto values degrade gracefully); malformed payloads surface through the
diagram's error fallback.
- `HaTopology.utils.ts` — pure topology mapper (+ 26 unit tests): shard
grouping, primary identified via `routingState.role` (deprecated `type`
as fallback) with **failover-safe election** — when the outgoing and
incoming primary briefly both claim `ROUTING_ROLE_PRIMARY`, the highest
routing rule (coordinator term, leader subterm) wins, matching the
multigateway's own election — plus status mapping onto the existing
Healthy / Coming up / Going down / Unhealthy vocabulary, and an AZ
formatter for `id.cell` that degrades to the raw cell name.
- HA diagram nodes/edges: `Multigateway` card, shard group box with
header pill (`Shard 1`, `Automatic failover` + tooltip), `Primary
Database` card styled like the standard diagram's — neutral border,
green icon chip (with the standard CPU / Disk / RAM footer — connections
omitted until their meaning through the multigateway is confirmed),
`Read Replica` cards, and the standard animated replication edges
(status lives on the card badges). Poolers and gateways poll every 30s
without re-running layout (topology projection + structural sharing).
Drag-to-pan works through the shard group box, and the metrics footer's
skeleton matches the loaded row height so the card doesn't shift.
- Accessibility: the failover tooltip trigger is a keyboard-focusable
button, status badges sit in stable `role="status"` live regions, the
region flag is decorative (`alt=""`), and the edge dash/spinner
animations respect `prefers-reduced-motion` (applied to the pipelines
diagram's edges too).
- Fallbacks: `AlertError` ("Failed to retrieve cluster topology") when
either ha-admin query errors, and a "Cluster topology unavailable" empty
state when the topology comes back empty — never a half-rendered
diagram.

**Changed:**

- `InstanceConfiguration` is now topology-source-aware: it branches
internally on `useHighAvailability()`, so both surfaces (homepage
`TopSection` and the replication page) get the right diagram with no new
wiring. The two-pass measured dagre layout moved into a shared
`DiagramFlow`; `nodeTypes`/`edgeTypes` are module-level consts.
- `getEdgeVisual` + the mid-edge icon chip lifted out of
`ReplicationDiagram/Edges.tsx` into
`components/ui/ReactFlow/EdgeVisual.tsx` so both diagrams derive edge
icon + line style from one state object (no behavior change for the
pipelines diagram). The primary card's CPU/Disk/RAM footer is likewise
extracted into a shared `ComputeMetricsFooter`.
- Fixes a latent relayout loop inherited from the region-box pattern:
handing React Flow a freshly created (unmeasured) group node on every
layout pass reset `nodesInitialized`, re-triggering the measured pass
and `fitView` forever — which made the diagram snap back to center and
effectively unpannable. The shared `DiagramFlow` now re-attaches known
measurements to group nodes, which also covers the standard diagram's
region boxes.
- Standard diagram: the API Load Balancer → primary edge is now static —
no data flows over it, the line only indicates a relation.
- `database/replication` page: the HA early-return empty state is
replaced by the diagram under a "High Availability cluster topology"
header. Non-HA projects are untouched.

**Intentional deviations from the mock** (for design review):

1. **No per-replica regions** — alpha replicas are one-per-cell inside a
single region, so the mock's `eu-west-1` / `ap-southeast-1` on sibling
replicas would be false. Availability zone per node, region shown once
on the primary.
2. **"Primary Database", not "Main Database"** — matches the string both
existing diagrams already ship, and the same component now renders both
project types.
3. **No collapse chevron on the shard header** — alpha has exactly one
shard; collapsing it would hide the whole diagram. The group box still
ships; add collapse when `shards.length > 1`.
4. **Failover shown on the shard group, not replica cards** — failover
is a cohort property; per-card badging would assert readiness we can't
verify without a per-pooler `/status` fanout.
5. **Standard node/edge styling reused** (per review) — neutral primary
border + green chip and the default animated edges instead of the mock's
green ring and dashed green arrowed edges, keeping the HA and non-HA
diagrams visually consistent.

**Confirmed against a real local Multigres cluster:** cells are named
`cell-1`/`cell-2`/… (not AZ-shaped — the AZ formatter falls back to the
raw cell name as designed); `GET /platform/projects/{ref}/databases`
returns only the primary row for HA projects; and the `/ha-admin`
passthrough returns **each gateway/pooler record once per cell it fans
out to** — the topology mapper dedupes by id, but worth confirming with
@sbc-bobbie whether the backend should dedupe.

**Known alpha limitation:** node health and the "replicating" edge state
derive from the pooler's *topology record*
(`lifecycleStatus`/`servingStatus`), not a live probe — a pooler that
crashes without publishing a terminal state can read as healthy until
the topology evicts its record, and a serving replica with paused replay
still shows a green edge. This matches the existing replication
diagram's semantics (`ACTIVE_HEALTHY` ⇒ animated edge). Live per-pooler
signals (WAL receiver state, replay position) exist on `GET
/poolers/{cell}/{name}/status` but need a per-pooler fanout —
deliberately deferred, noted on `getPoolerStatus`.

**Still to confirm** (doesn't block review): whether the `/ha-admin`
passthrough is deployed to production or staging-only (if staging-only,
this should get a flag before GA).

## To test

Tested end-to-end locally against a real Multigres project
(standard-project regression pass, HA creation flow, error fallback
against real 500s, and full topology + polling + console checks against
live multiadmin data):

- **HA project homepage**: diagram card shows Multigateway → shard box
(`Shard 1`, count badge, `Automatic failover` tooltip) → green-bordered
Primary Database (region, AZ, size) + Read Replica cards (AZ), dashed
green animated edges to healthy replicas. No flow/map toggle for HA.
- **HA project → Database → Replication**: same diagram under a "High
Availability cluster topology" header; no Destinations section; the old
"Replication unavailable…" state is gone.
- **Error path**: if `/ha-admin/v1/*` fails, both surfaces show "Failed
to retrieve cluster topology" with Contact support — no partial diagram.
- **Standard project regression**: homepage diagram (primary card, flow
⇄ map toggle round-trips), replication page (pipelines diagram +
Destinations) all unchanged; zero requests to `/ha-admin/*`.

Danny White 34d6c2fbc5 feat(studio): move read replica creation to a dialog (#49516)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Studio interface improvement.

## What is the current behavior?

Read replica creation uses an oversized sheet, with region selection,
eligibility guidance, and pricing all awkwardly competing for space. The
cost estimate can briefly show a compute-only subtotal while disk
pricing is still loading.

## What is the new behavior?

Read replica creation uses a focused, centred dialog with a vertical
region field, contextual eligibility guidance, and a separate cost
breakdown. Disabled forms omit redundant deployment-location text. The
additional monthly cost appears only after both compute and disk pricing
inputs are available.

## To test

- Open `/project/<ref>/settings/infrastructure` and select **Add read
replica** from the section header or empty state. Confirm the dialog
opens and closes using Close, Escape, backdrop, and Cancel.
- On an eligible project, confirm the pricing note initially reads
**Estimated additional cost**, then adds **of $X/month** once pricing
loads. **View breakdown** should remain disabled until then.
- Change the region and open **View breakdown**. Confirm the monthly
cost table has standard row borders and an estimated total.
- On a project below Small compute, confirm the region field is
disabled, its deployment-location description is hidden, and **Change
compute** returns to the compute controls.

Alaister YoungandAlaister Young 3811e75140 [MUL-1417] feat(studio): show SSL enforcement as always on for HA projects (#49524)
High Availability (Multigres) projects always enforce SSL, and the
management API now rejects any attempt to read or change the setting
(supabase/platform#37484). This makes the Database Settings toggle
reflect that instead of surfacing an error.

**Changed:**
- `SSLConfiguration`: skip the `ssl-enforcement` query for HA projects
(via `useHighAvailability`) and render the "Enforce SSL on incoming
connections" switch checked + disabled with the tooltip "SSL is always
enforced on High Availability projects". Non-HA projects are unchanged.
- `SSLEnforcementConfirmDialog`: add a controlled `open`/`onOpenChange`
mode. The switch now opens the dialog from its own `onCheckedChange`
rather than a wrapping `AlertDialogTrigger`, so a disabled switch can no
longer open the dialog by clicking the row wrapper beside it (this was
reachable for every disabled state, and for HA would have PUT into the
new 400 guardrail). The JIT section's existing trigger-with-children
usage is untouched.

**Added:**
- `SSLConfiguration.test.tsx` (MSW): HA → checked/disabled, tooltip, no
`ssl-enforcement` request, no dialog from switch/wrapper clicks; non-HA
→ reflects fetched config, switch opens the dialog and Cancel leaves it
unchanged.

## To test

On an HA project → Project Settings → Database → SSL configuration:
- Switch is on and disabled, hovering shows "SSL is always enforced on
High Availability projects"
- No request to `/v1/projects/{ref}/ssl-enforcement` fires, no spinner
sticks, no error toast
- Clicking the disabled switch or the empty area beside it does **not**
open the "brief downtime" dialog

On a non-HA project:
- Switch reflects the current config and the GET fires once
- Clicking the switch opens the confirm dialog with Enable/Disable SSL;
Cancel and Escape close it without changing the switch or sending a PUT
- Clicking beside the switch (not on it) does not open the dialog

Linear:
https://linear.app/supabase/issue/MUL-1417/database-settings-disable-ssl-enforcement-toggle

<!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai
-->
## Summary by CodeRabbit

- **New Features**
- High Availability projects now show SSL as always enabled, with an
explanatory tooltip.
- SSL settings are protected from changes on High Availability projects.
- SSL confirmation dialogs now open and close reliably when changing
settings.
- Added accessible announcements for SSL configuration loading and
updates.

- **Bug Fixes**
- Improved SSL state handling for standard and High Availability
projects.
- Prevented unnecessary SSL enforcement checks for High Availability
projects.

Danny White 5f50338a2f fix(studio): keep region flags visible on light surfaces (#49517)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Studio interface fix.

## What is the current behavior?

Region flags with light backgrounds, such as Japan, can disappear
against light Studio surfaces. Flag rendering is also repeated across
region selectors and infrastructure views.

## What is the new behavior?

Region flags use a shared `RegionFlag` component with the existing small
radius and a subtle 1px border. The treatment is applied consistently
across project creation, replication, read replicas, infrastructure, and
Edge Function observability.

## To test

- Open the new project flow and inspect the selected region and region
menu. Confirm light flags remain visible without changing size or aspect
ratio.
- Open Database Replication and inspect region flags in the diagram and
destination form.
- Open `/project/<ref>/settings/infrastructure` and inspect flags in the
topology, map, and read replica details.
- Open Edge Function observability and inspect the region filter
options.

<!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai
-->
## Summary by CodeRabbit

* **UI Improvements**
* Standardized region flag displays across project creation,
replication, infrastructure, read replica, and observability views.
* Region flags now use consistent styling, rounded borders, and
rendering throughout the Studio interface.
* Improved visual consistency for selected regions, database nodes,
tooltips, and region options.
* Decorative flags in observability views are handled appropriately for
assistive technologies.

Danny White 6ac5bf6b86 feat(studio): point replica deep links at Infrastructure and recommend compute (#48921)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Feature. Stack 5 of 5 (tip) for
[PIPE-1007](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/PIPE-1007/move-read-replicas-out-of-replication-into-infrastructure).

## What is the current behavior?

Selectors still open Replication with `destinationType=Read+Replica`.
Compute eligibility actions leave the add-replica flow without carrying
a recommended size into the Infrastructure form.

## What is the new behavior?

DatabaseSelector and the SQL submenu open Infrastructure
`?addReplica=true`. Change to Small/XL compute waits for the sheet to
close, pre-selects that size, then focuses and scrolls the
Infrastructure form to Compute without shifting the page footer.

## Additional context

Last stack PR. [#49043](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49043)
has merged. Please review, but do not merge until 2→4 are also approved.
Then merge [#49044](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49044) →
[#49045](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49045) →
[#49046](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49046) → this PR in
succession, and drop the `do-not-merge` labels.

Update the read replicas getting-started doc in the same sitting so it
points only at Infrastructure (it currently also links Database →
Replication).

Remaining stack:

## To test

`infrastructure:read_replicas` is an enabled-feature, on by default.
There is no Feature Preview or ConfigCat switch. You should already see
the Infrastructure Read replicas section. If you do not, your profile
lists `infrastructure:read_replicas` in `disabled_features`.

1.

2. Add read replica. If blocked on compute, Change to Small compute:
sheet closes, Small is selected and focused, the price footer is dirty,
and no blank page gap appears.
3. From the SQL editor database selector, Add replica should open
Infrastructure, not Replication.

Danny White 7fd7ace118 feat(studio): add Infrastructure replica detail route and redirects (#49045)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Feature. Stack 3 of 5 for
[PIPE-1007](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/PIPE-1007/move-read-replicas-out-of-replication-into-infrastructure).

## What is the current behavior?

Replica detail lives at `/database/replication/replica/:id`.

## What is the new behavior?

Detail moves to `/settings/infrastructure/replica/:id`. Old URLs
redirect. List and diagram View/Manage replica links follow.

## Additional context

Stacked on [#49044](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49044).
Please review, but do not merge. Merge 2→5 in succession once they are
all reviewed, so users never sit on a split create/list vs detail path.

Replication still lists and creates replicas until
[#49046](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49046).

## To test

`infrastructure:read_replicas` is an enabled-feature, on by default.
There is no Feature Preview or ConfigCat switch. You should already see
the Infrastructure Read replicas section. If you do not, your profile
lists `infrastructure:read_replicas` in `disabled_features`.

From
[Infrastructure](https://studio-staging-git-danny-pipe-1007-03-detail-redirects-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/project/_/settings/infrastructure),
open View replica on a row. Confirm you land on
`/settings/infrastructure/replica/:id`. If you have an old bookmark,
`/database/replication/replica/:id` should redirect there.

## Summary by CodeRabbit

* **New Features**
* Added read replica management to Infrastructure settings, including
replica creation, status monitoring, details, restart, and removal
actions.
* Added eligibility guidance and estimated pricing details during
replica setup.
* Added support for topology and replica information within
infrastructure configuration.
* **Improvements**

## Additional context

[#49043](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49043) is merged.
This PR targets `master`.

Please review, but do not merge. `infrastructure:read_replicas` is
already on, so merging this alone would show replicas on both
Infrastructure and Replication. Merge 2→5
([#49045](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49045),
[#49046](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49046),
[#48921](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/48921)) in succession
once they are all reviewed.

Replica detail still uses the old Replication URL until #49045.

## To test

`infrastructure:read_replicas` is an enabled-feature, on by default in
`enabled-features.json`. There is no Feature Preview or ConfigCat
switch. On this preview you should already see it: Settings →
Infrastructure shows topology and a Read replicas section. If those are
missing, your profile lists `infrastructure:read_replicas` in
`disabled_features` (from `/platform/profile`), and you cannot flip it
in the UI.

Open [Settings /
Infrastructure](https://studio-staging-git-danny-pipe-1007-02-infra-section-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/project/_/settings/infrastructure).
Confirm the topology, Read replicas section, and Add read replica sheet.
Replication should still list replicas too.

## Summary by CodeRabbit

* **New Features**
* Added infrastructure topology visibility to project infrastructure
settings.
* Added read replica management, including status monitoring, empty
states, creation flow, documentation access, and discard-change
confirmation.
* Infrastructure settings now include read replicas alongside compute
and disk configuration.
* Added flexible placement for supplemental disk overview and scaling
content.

* **Bug Fixes**
* Simplified project configuration rendering for more reliable display.

* **Tests**
  * Added coverage for enabled and disabled read replica states.

Danny White 4760c1af77 feat(studio): polish PrivateLink connection UI (#49164)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Polish for the AWS PrivateLink integrations UI.

## What is the current behavior?

The add/view sheet labels the optional nickname field as "Description",
delete confirmation always shows the AWS account ID, list admonitions
use generic copy, and delete uses a fire-and-forget mutation.

## What is the new behavior?

- Rename the optional nickname field to **Name**, with helper copy
explaining it appears on the connections list
- Tighten list admonition copy to reference connections below and
pluralise share wording
- Rename `showAcceptLink` to `shouldShowAcceptLink`
- Delete confirmation uses the connection name (or account ID when
unnamed) and clearer read replica fallback copy
- Delete uses `mutateAsync` so the dialog can await the mutation

## To test

1. Open **Project settings → Integrations → AWS PrivateLink** on a
project with PrivateLink access
2. Click **Add connection** and confirm the optional field is labelled
**Name** with helper copy underneath
3. Add a connection with a name (e.g. `Production VPC`) and confirm the
list row shows that title
4. If you have a waiting or expired connection, confirm the list
admonition copy references shares below
5. Open a named connection, click **Delete**, and confirm the dialog
uses the connection name rather than always showing the raw account ID
6. Cancel delete and confirm the sheet stays open

<!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai

## Summary by CodeRabbit

* **Improvements**
* Updated AWS PrivateLink connection messages with clearer singular and
plural wording.
* Improved guidance for expired and pending connections, including
acceptance-instruction links.
* Renamed the account field to “Name,” marked it optional, and clarified
its purpose and default behavior.
* Enhanced deletion confirmations with clearer connection names and AWS
account identifiers.
  * Improved deletion handling to provide more reliable feedback.

Danny White 14fe0c0cc8 fix(studio): slightly round split-button corners on focus (#49129)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

UI polish for split buttons (primary action + dropdown chevron).
Follow-up to #49055.

## What is the current behavior?

The focus ring sits above the neighbouring half, but the inner edge
stays square, so the ring has two sharp corners at the join.

## What is the new behavior?

On keyboard focus, the squared-off edge uses a slight radius so the ring
matches the outer corners more closely. Resting state is unchanged.
Split-button callsites now share the same join classes as the
design-system example.

Danny White 65a5e593ca feat(studio): tighten Integrations layout (#49088)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

UI

## What is the current behavior?

GitHub’s empty state and Integrations icon spacing do not match the
PrivateLink list. Add connection has no plus. PrivateLink rows use a
kebab instead of click-to-view.

## What is the new behavior?

GitHub empty state matches the connections list. **Connect GitHub** is
tiny and asks you to connect before choosing a repo. Section icons
align. **Add connection** has a plus. PrivateLink rows are clickable;
delete stays in the sheet.

Danny White fe347d8876 feat(studio): show PrivateLink accept guidance on the list (#49087)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Feature

## What is the current behavior?

Accept-in-AWS guidance lives only in the view sheet, as a per-status
essay with a nested button/link. Delete is easy to miss and does not

connection uses that same admonition. Delete uses a confirm dialog that
names the database, including from **View connection**.

## Additional context

Stacked on #49085. See #49030 for the end state, as it may already
include fixes you might propose.

## To test

- **Project Settings → Integrations → AWS PrivateLink.** A connection
that AWS has not accepted yet should show an orange **Waiting** badge,
not green Ready.
- Creating should be grey. Deleting orange. Expired and Failed stay red.
- **Docs preview → Platform → PrivateLink.** Should say Waiting, not
Ready.

Danny White 0c1da8fd09 feat(studio): tighten PrivateLink sheet fields (#49085)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Feature

## What is the current behavior?

Add connection field order and nickname handling are harder to scan.
Empty description can still show up as a blank name.

## What is the new behavior?

Add connection is AWS account ID, then database, then optional
description. An empty description is omitted from the list title.

Danny White 44292c0996 feat(studio): extract PrivateLink status copy (#49084)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Refactor

## What is the current behavior?

Status labels and sheet copy are inline switches in the list and form.

## What is the new behavior?

One status lookup drives the badge and the view-sheet copy. No intended
visual change. Ready is still green.

Stephen Morgan 3d966e3709 feat(studio): show PrivateLink resource IDs and use connection copy (#48967)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Feature and docs

## What is the current behavior?

PrivateLink is labelled as an AWS account, and there is no way to tell
which resource configuration belongs to the primary vs a read replica.

Put simply: you’re not adding an AWS account. You’re adding a
connection. One AWS account can have multiple PrivateLink connections,
just to different databases, with more fields also coming soon.

Part of PRODSEC-238 and fixes SEC-939.

## What is the new behavior?

Each connection shows resource configuration IDs so primary and replica
are distinguishable. Customer-facing copy says **connection**. API paths
and AWS console labels still say association.

## To test

- **Project Settings → Integrations → AWS PrivateLink.** Open **Add
connection**, or **View** an existing one. Confirm the UI says
connection, and that resource config IDs are copyable.
- **Docs preview → Platform → PrivateLink.** Procedure steps should say
Add connection / View connection.

Danny White 2c8cc7ec8a feat(studio): relocate read replica modules under Infrastructure (#49043)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Feature. Stack 1 of 5 for
[PIPE-1007](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/PIPE-1007/move-read-replicas-out-of-replication-into-infrastructure).

## What is the current behavior?

Read replica UI lives under Database / Replication.

## What is the new behavior?

Moves replica form, row, and modals into Settings/Infrastructure and
extracts `REPLICA_STATUS` plus path helpers. URLs and user-facing
behaviour are unchanged.

## Additional context

Keep `infrastructure:read_replicas` off in prod until the full stack
lands.

kemal.earth 88e916a4c0 fix(studio): focus state for buttons with dropdown (#49055)
## I have read the
[CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md)
file.

YES

## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

We've quite a few instances where some buttons have a dropdown
appendage. The focus state for these were broken as well as visually
regarding the separator. This first pass fixes the instances we have in
studio, I've left potentially adding this to our design system fragment
components as another PR.

Etienne Stalmans 51c5b9f013 chore: sync ssl enforcement and temporary access (#48743)
## I have read the
[CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md)
file.

YES

## What kind of change does this PR introduce?

Chore - fix-up

## What is the current behavior?

Temporary access depends on ssl enforcement. The frontend doesn't
enforce this very well or keep state between the two configs.

## What is the new behavior?

This updates the two configs to be interdependent and updates to each
one triggers a frontend state change on the other.
