feat(studio): scoped pat root branch (#48384)
## Description This is the Scoped PAT stacked PRs root branch ## How to test ### With the `scopedPAT` enabled (default on staging) Go to https://studio-staging-git-scopedpat-merge-token-lists-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/account/tokens. - You shouldn't see two tabs anymore - If you had classic tokens, they should have the _Legacy_ badge - You can create scoped tokens - You have a way to copy newly created tokens before closing the form side panel ### With the `scopedPAT` disabled (use the devtool to override) - You shouldn't see two tabs anymore - If you had classic tokens, they should **not** have the _Legacy_ badge - You can create classic tokens - You have a way to copy newly created tokens above the list upon form submission <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Show classic and scoped access tokens together in one list, with classic tokens labeled “Legacy” when the scoped experience is enabled. * Add scoped access token creation with a two-step configure → review → success flow (when enabled). * Add a dismissible migration notice about scoped tokens with a link to API docs. * Show “View permissions” only for scoped tokens. * **Bug Fixes** * Token deletion now supports both classic and scoped tokens with the correct confirmation and success handling. * The scoped tokens page now redirects to the unified access tokens page. * **Accessibility** * Improved accessibility by adding a label to the token “more options” action. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Ali Waseem <waseema393@gmail.com> Co-authored-by: kemal.earth <606977+kemaldotearth@users.noreply.github.com> |

refactor(studio): static tab kind registry and tab id codec (PR 1/9) (#48718)
## Summary First PR in the tab/snippet decoupling stack. Purely additive: no existing call sites change behavior except the `EntityTypeIcon` rewire, which preserves its API exactly. - **`state/tabs/kinds.ts`** — static `TAB_KINDS` descriptor table (`TabKind`, `TabSurface`, `surfaceOf`, `kindsOnSurface`, `isTabKind`). Leaf-safe: its only reference to the domain `Tab` type is a type-only import, so it stays importable at module scope (needed later for the valtio store and the persistence migration reader) without creating a runtime cycle. - **`state/tabs/kinds.icons.tsx`** — per-kind icon leaf module (`ui` + `lucide-react` + `TabKind` type only), plus the preserved `LogsSnippetIcon`. - **`state/tabs/tab-id.ts`** — `createTabId` / `parseTabId` / `toUrlSegment` / `parseUrlSegment(segment, surface)` codec. `parseUrlSegment` is surface-scoped: a bare segment only resolves to a kind when the surface has exactly one bare kind (true for `sql`). The table surface has five bare kinds (`r`/`v`/`m`/`f`/`p`) with no URL disambiguator between them, matching `/editor/[id]`, which learns kind from the fetched entity rather than the URL — so a bare table segment correctly resolves to nothing. - **`components/ui/EntityTypeIcon.tsx`** — rewired to a thin wrapper delegating to `kinds.icons.tsx`, preserving its exact prop API (`type`, `size`, `strokeWidth`, `isActive`, `sqlSource`) for all existing consumers. - **`state/tabs/tab-id.test.ts`** — codec round-trips per kind, bare-vs-prefixed URL segments, the `templates`/`examples`/`new` sentinels, and surface scoping (including the table-surface ambiguity above). Full plan: `apps/studio/TABS_DECOUPLING_PLAN.md` (not included in this PR). ## Test plan - [x] `pnpm typecheck` - [x] `pnpm lint --filter=studio` (0 errors) - [x] `pnpm --filter studio run lint:ratchet` (warning counts did not increase) - [x] `pnpm test:studio` (full suite green, including 50 new/updated tests in `state/tabs/`) - [x] `pnpm format` (no-op) <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added consistent icons and metadata for SQL, notebook, chat, table, view, and related tab types. * Added support for creating, parsing, and converting tab identifiers to URL segments. * Improved handling of tab types across SQL and table surfaces. * **Bug Fixes** * Invalid, empty, or ambiguous tab identifiers and URL segments are now rejected. * **Tests** * Added coverage for tab identifiers, URL conversion, supported tab types, and edge cases. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

feat(sql-editor): roll out manual saving by default (#48706)
## I have read the [CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) file. YES ## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Feature — progresses the SQL Editor manual saving rollout, and removes a fully rolled out feature flag. ## What is the current behavior? Manual saving (snippets save only on an explicit Save / Cmd+S rather than autosaving every edit) is opt-in. It requires both the `sqlEditorManualSave` ConfigCat flag and the user turning on the "Disable snippet auto-saving" feature preview themselves. That flag is now fully rolled out. ## What is the new behavior? - `sqlEditorManualSave` is removed, so the feature preview is listed for everyone. (Delete the flag in ConfigCat after a few months.) - New `sqlEditorManualSaveForced` flag progresses the rollout. It forces manual saving on regardless of what the user stored previously, including an explicit opt-out, via a new `isForced` field on `FeaturePreview` that `initializeFlags` resolves ahead of the localStorage lookup — so the feature preview modal reflects the forced state too, not just the save behavior. Turning the flag off reverts everyone who never opted in, so it remains a working kill switch. - Users the rollout switches over get a one-time dialog on their first SQL Editor route, explaining that snippets no longer autosave. Dismissal persists in `sql-editor-manual-save-notice-dismissed` (allowlisted, so it survives sign-out). - Users who opted into the preview themselves never see the dialog — it records their dismissal up front instead, since the notice needs to outlive the feature preview and once the preview is retired there's no stored opt-in left to recognize them by. - The preview keeps its switch so users who lose their local storage can opt in early, but once the rollout reaches them the "Disable feature" button is disabled with a tooltip explaining why. ### To test Turn on `sqlEditorManualSaveForced` on via the dev toolbar. - No `supabase-ui-sql-editor-manual-save` and no dismissal key → dialog appears on `/project/<ref>/sql`, toolbar shows the Save button. Dismiss, reload → no dialog. - `supabase-ui-sql-editor-manual-save` set to `false` (previously opted out) → still forced onto manual saving, and still gets the dialog. - `supabase-ui-sql-editor-manual-save` set to `true` → no dialog, and the dismissal key is written automatically. - Flag off, no opt-in → autosave, no dialog, and the "Disable autosave" power-off button still opens the preview modal. - Preview modal while forced → "Disable feature" is disabled with a tooltip; another preview (e.g. Column-level privileges) still disables normally. ## Additional context |

feat(studio): logs snippets in SQL editor nav, search, and tabs (#48457)
## What PR 7 of the SQL-editor query-source (Database vs Logs) stack. Surfaces `log_sql` snippets as a distinct query source across the SQL editor sidebar. Stacked on **`charislam/toolbar-ui-creation-flow`** (PR 6 — toolbar UI + creation flow); review/merge that first. Nothing is user-visible until the flags roll out — every entry point requires **both** `sqlEditorLogsSource` **and** `otelLegacyLogs`. ## Changes - **Nav** — a flag-gated **Logs** section (`LogsSnippetsSection`) backed by its own single-type `log_sql` query. The active snippet is injected only into the section it belongs to, via a shared `withActiveSnippet(snippets, active, belongsPredicate)` helper (also DRYs the private/favorites/shared injections). - **Search** (`SearchList`) — a **Logs** result group with a shared, extracted `SqlSnippetTree`; the "N results found" count now sums database + logs, with loading/empty states covering both queries. - **Tabs** — an immutable `sqlSource` field on tab/recent-item metadata (set at tab creation, lazily backfilled once the snippet loads via `useEffectEvent`), and a distinct `ScrollText` icon via a shared `LogsSnippetIcon`. Tab cleanup treats `log_sql` tabs as live and only prunes them when logs data is authoritative (`canPruneLogsTabs`), so a disabled/erroring logs query never wrongly deletes logs tabs or blocks database-tab cleanup. - **Data layer** — `useSqlSnippetsQuery` gains an optional `type` param so logs reuse the same `SnippetWithContent` shape as the other sections (no casts). ## Tests - `state/tabs.test.ts` — `sqlSource` backfill + creation-time carry-through. - `components/layouts/Tabs/Tabs.utils.test.tsx` — cleanup prunes stale database/logs snippets, keeps live ones, and preserves logs tabs when logs data isn't authoritative. ## Verification - `pnpm --filter studio typecheck` ✓ - `pnpm --filter studio run lint:ratchet` ✓ - `pnpm test:studio` (affected suites) ✓ <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added a collapsible Logs section to the SQL editor sidebar for browsing, sorting, selecting, renaming, and deleting log queries. * Expanded SQL search with separate, paginated results for database and log queries. * Added dedicated log-query icons across navigation, tabs, previews, and recent items. * **Bug Fixes** * Improved tab and recent-item cleanup while preserving active log queries and accurate source metadata. * **Tests** * Added coverage for log tab cleanup and SQL source metadata synchronization. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

fix(studio): restart action for table editor load errors FE-4054 (#48687)
## Problem When the table editor showed a "Failed to load tables" or "Failed to load schemas" error (for example, when the underlying database or API gateway is unhealthy), there was no working way to restart the project from that error state. Restarting only worked by navigating to Project Settings. ## Fix "Failed to load tables" goes through the existing `ErrorMatcher` classification system, which only showed troubleshooting steps (including a restart action) for connection-timeout errors. Added an `ERROR_MAPPINGS` entry for the unclassified/generic API error case, reusing the existing `RestartDatabaseTroubleshootingSection` and `RestartProjectDialog` components already used for connection timeouts. "Failed to load schemas" (in the shared `SchemaSelector`, used across the table editor and several Database pages) only offered a retry. Added a "Restart database" button next to it, wired to the same `RestartProjectDialog`. ## How to test - In the table editor, trigger a table-load failure that isn't a connection timeout (any generic API error). The error card should now show a "Try restarting your project" step with a working restart action. - Open the schema selector while schemas fail to load (e.g. mock a 503 from the schemas query). A "Restart database" button should appear next to "Reload schemas" and open the restart confirmation dialog. - `apps/studio/components/interfaces/ErrorHandling/ErrorMatcher.test.tsx` and `apps/studio/components/ui/SchemaSelector.test.tsx` cover both cases. FE-4054 <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added database restart guidance when schema loading fails. * Added options to reload schemas or restart the database, including a confirmation prompt. * Added troubleshooting guidance for unclassified table-loading errors. * **Bug Fixes** * Improved error handling by displaying relevant fallback guidance for unknown errors while preserving classified troubleshooting instructions. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

Joshen/fe 4064 add a toast callout for feature preview (#48645)
## Context Adds a banner toast for the database connections feature preview <img width="315" height="322" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/8caaab88-10a0-4a06-b678-25fc9c44dd81" /> ## Other changes As the observability page currently has a number of banner toasts (metrics API, unified logs, index advisor for query performance), am opting to REMOVE the metrics API's banner toast by virtue of how long its been around for. Mainly to prevent over stacking of banner toasts as it can be annoying. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added a dismissible Database Connections banner with SQL examples and a link to its feature preview. * Banner dismissal and CTA interactions are now tracked. * Dismissed banners can reappear when reintroduced. * **Bug Fixes** * Banners are hidden after the feature is enabled or dismissed. * Improved banner handling to prevent duplicate active banners. * **Changes** * Replaced the Metrics API banner with the Database Connections banner. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

show API and AWS authorization errors inline (#48471)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Bug fix and design-system update. ## What is the current behavior? API authorisation and AWS Marketplace action failures use transient toasts. The inline action-error treatment introduced for organisation invitations is implemented locally. ## What is the new behavior? Action failures remain visible below their actions and clear on retry or organisation change. This PR adds a shared `InterstitialActionError` component, updates the connect-interstitial guidance and demo to use it, and retroactively applies it to `OrganizationInvite`. Mutation errors are read directly from their mutation hooks rather than copied into component state. | Before | After | | --- | --- | | <img width="1024" height="759" alt="Authorize API Access Supabase" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/9520aff3-496d-44b1-b5b5-02b331872e32" /> | <img width="1024" height="759" alt="Authorize API Access Supabase" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/2d09e337-573a-45b5-80ac-7c546ed1401d" /> | | <img width="1024" height="759" alt="Link AWS Marketplace Supabase" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/bb1a4581-0399-432a-8037-d84ab15ecc4b" /> | <img width="1024" height="759" alt="Link AWS Marketplace Supabase" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/f9d43cd9-c661-42ed-91c0-e45ccb9c19f5" /> | _Note since taking that AWS screenshot: the error message now replaces the prior footer text. feat(studio): SQL editor logs source — toolbar UI + creation flow (#48452)
## What PR 6 of the SQL-editor "query source (Database vs Logs)" stack (builds on the merged PR 5, #48414). Adds the user-facing toolbar surface for the logs query source and consolidates the SQL-editor toolbar into a single **source menu**. Everything stays behind `sqlEditorLogsSource` + `otelLegacyLogs` (dual-flag gated); with the flags off the toolbar is unchanged. ## Changes - **Consolidated source menu** (`QuerySourceMenu`) — one `Database ▾` / `Logs ▾` dropdown that both labels the snippet's source and hosts the source-specific controls as flyout submenus: - Database: database selector (`Primary` / read replicas), `Run as` (role impersonation), and `Row limit`. - Logs: `Time range` — the same relative presets as the Logs Explorer plus a `Custom range…` calendar dialog. - **Source is immutable** — the Database/Logs rows aren't a toggle. An existing (materialized) snippet opens a *fresh* tab of the target source (never reinterpreting a query against the wrong backend); a blank new tab re-flavors in place. Extracted as the pure, unit-tested `resolveSourceSwitch`. - **New-snippet-with-source** threaded through `/sql/new?source=`, the nav "Create a new logs query" entry, and the duplicate flow. Logs snippets hide the (db-dialect) Export action. - **Run-affordance guard** — the Run button is disabled + annotated for a logs snippet on a non-ClickHouse org (sits above PR 5's execution short-circuit). - **Retention entitlement gating** — both preset and custom logs ranges past `log.retention_days` surface the upgrade prompt instead of applying silently. Prettify is disabled for logs (sql-formatter mangles ClickHouse). ## Tests - `querySource.test.ts` — `logDateRangesEqual` (structural relative/absolute matching, incl. the "Last hour" vs "Last 1 hour" label case). - `QuerySourceMenu.utils.test.ts` — `resolveSourceSwitch` push-vs-replace / no-op behavior. `pnpm --filter studio typecheck` · `lint:ratchet` · Prettier · SQL editor suite (307 tests) all green. ## For reviewers To test manually, enable the `sqlEditorLogsSource` feature flag for yourself on local/staging. There is no nav for Log SQL snippets currently (that is by design, this PR is big enough as-is), so to check an existing logs snippet, you can create one using the existing Logs Explorer, copy its UUID, and force navigate to that snippet in the SQL editor via URL. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added support for creating and switching between database and logs queries. * Added log time-range presets and custom date-range selection. * Added database, run-as role, and row-limit controls. * Added read-replica selection, including options to create a new replica when available. * **Improvements** * Added clearer explanations when query execution is unavailable. * Disabled SQL formatting and query export where unsupported for logs queries. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Joshen Lim <joshenlimek@gmail.com> |

Merge compute and disk into Infrastructure (#48370)
## Summary This is the final step in merging compute and disk with infrastructure to become a single place to manage everything. This moves everything we've done in compute and disk over to infrastructure along with redirects. - Makes Infrastructure canonical for the completed compute and disk configuration and usage charts. - Moves Service Versions to General Project Settings. - Removes the legacy Infrastructure activity implementation and constants. - Updates settings navigation, shortcuts, banners, billing links, warning CTAs, usage pages, support suggestions, and other internal entry points. - Adds the permanent `/settings/compute-and-disk` redirect, removes its Next and TanStack routes, regenerates the route tree, and updates the migration checklist. - Preserves query parameters and legacy metric anchors, including `#cpu`. ## Stack 1. #48368 2. #48369 3. #48370 (this PR) ## How to test 1. Check out `chore/infra-compute-3-cutover`. 2. Test the Next implementation with `pnpm dev:studio`, then stop it and test TanStack with `STUDIO_FRAMEWORK=tanstack pnpm dev:studio`. 3. In each implementation, open `/project/<ref>/settings/infrastructure`. Confirm the page contains the usage charts and the Scaling, Compute, Disk, and Advanced configuration sections. 4. Open `/project/<ref>/settings/general`. Confirm Service Versions appears there with its existing name, content, and styling, and no longer appears on Infrastructure. 5. Open `/project/<ref>/settings/compute-and-disk?upgrade=micro#disk`. Confirm it permanently redirects to `/project/<ref>/settings/infrastructure?upgrade=micro#disk`, preserving the query string and hash. 6. Confirm the settings menu exposes Infrastructure and no longer exposes Compute and Disk. Repeat with platform and self-hosted settings. 7. Follow representative entry points from billing usage, resource warning CTAs, upgrade banners, shortcuts, and support suggestions. Confirm they land on Infrastructure and preserve any query parameters or metric anchors such as `#cpu`. 8. Smoke-test compute and disk updates from Infrastructure, including validation, the sticky review footer, and warning/critical chart states. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Consolidated compute and disk management under the **Infrastructure** project settings page. * Added a **Service versions** section to **General** project settings. * **Bug Fixes** * Updated links and upgrade CTAs across the product to route to the correct **Infrastructure** or **Service versions** destinations. * Added permanent redirects from legacy **Compute and Disk** to **Infrastructure**, preserving query/hash. * Improved resource warning upgrade routing for compute scenarios. * **Tests** * Expanded automated coverage for **Infrastructure**, **Service versions**, redirects, and warning-link routing. * **Chores** * Updated ESLint rule baseline configuration for the studio app. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Alaister Young <10985857+alaister@users.noreply.github.com> |

fix(studio): give Search nav trigger a visible hover state (#48319)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Bug fix / UI polish. ## What is the current behavior? The Studio header "Search..." command menu entry point has no useful hover state in light mode. It used `hover:bg-surface-100`, which maps to elevated `--card` and brightens toward white, so the hover effectively disappears against the near-white header. It also lacked `cursor-pointer` and used a weaker border than nearby header controls like Connect. ## What is the new behavior? `CommandMenuTriggerInput` now matches the Connect button's default variant interaction: - `cursor-pointer` - `border-strong` with `hover:border-stronger` - `hover:bg-selection` (same fill as Connect; aliased to accent) Studio `LayoutHeader` drops the redundant `bg-transparent` override now that transparent is the shared default. | After | | --- | | <img width="2561" height="267" alt="CleanShot 2026-07-24 at 17 06 09@2x" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/5a855512-9b7e-40b8-861f-647c87d472a7" /> | ## Additional context Docs top nav also consumes `CommandMenuTriggerInput`, so it picks up the same trigger styling. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Style** * Updated the command menu trigger appearance with a transparent background and stronger border. * Improved hover styling for clearer visual feedback. * Standardized command menu trigger styling across platform and non-platform layouts. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

feat: unify SkipToContent across studio, docs, www, and design-system (#48314)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Feature / a11y polish ## What is the current behavior? Studio and Docs each had their own skip-to-content link (different styling and behaviour). www and design-system had none. ## What is the new behavior? Shared `SkipToContent` in `ui-patterns`, adopted by Studio, Docs, www, and design-system. Documented as a fragment with a short note under Accessibility → Jumping ahead. Tab once to reveal the button (top-left), Enter to jump to a content-only `<main>`. | After | | --- | | <img width="836" height="324" alt="CleanShot 2026-07-24 at 14 08 47@2x" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/6df29452-e53a-4eca-8f64-946f2b9f605d" /> | ## To test Shared steps for every app: enable Tab key navigation if needed, load the preview, press **Tab** once — skip button should slide in top-left. Press **Enter** — focus jumps to main content (no blue ring on `<main>`). Press **Tab** again — first interactive control in the page body, not the sidebar/nav. Hover the skip button — solid fill, clear hover state, no chrome showing through. - **Studio** — [preview](https://studio-staging-git-dnywh-featskip-to-content-supabase.vercel.app) → sign in → any project page - **Docs** — [preview](https://docs-git-dnywh-featskip-to-content-supabase.vercel.app) → any docs page with sidebar - **www** — [preview](https://zone-www-dot-com-git-dnywh-featskip-to-content-supabase.vercel.app) → homepage or any marketing page with the default nav - **Design system** — [preview](https://design-system-git-dnywh-featskip-to-content-supabase.vercel.app) → any docs page (confirm Tab from content does **not** walk the sidebar), plus [Skip to Content fragment](https://design-system-git-dnywh-featskip-to-content-supabase.vercel.app/docs/fragments/skip-to-content) ## Additional context Follow-up to #47694 / #48303 (Studio) and #47515 (Docs). <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit - **New Features** - Added a reusable “Skip to content” accessibility link across key layouts and pages. - Updated main landmarks to support keyboard focus and skip-link navigation (`id="main"`). - **Accessibility** - Skip links now follow consistent landmark-target conventions and remain hidden until focused. - Improved documentation for skip links/jump shortcuts in persistent chrome layouts. - **Documentation** - Added a dedicated Skip to Content fragment, navigation entry, and expanded accessibility guidance. - Updated button description wording in component docs. - **Tests** - Added component tests for SkipToContent. - **Chores** - Exposed SkipToContent via additional public package entry points. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

chore(ui-patterns): collapse the admonition shim into ui-patterns/Admonition (#48377)
Follow-up to #48344: collapses the two resolution paths for the Admonition module into one. `src/admonition.tsx` was a back-compat shim re-exporting `src/Admonition/`. Two ways to resolve one module is exactly what produced the macOS self-import bug fixed in #48344, and the local typecheck errors that #48374 worked around. This removes the shim and standardizes on the PascalCase subpath, matching every other export in the package. **Changed:** - Codemodded all 246 `ui-patterns/admonition` imports to `ui-patterns/Admonition` (240 `.tsx`, 5 `.mdx`, 1 `.ts` across studio, docs, www, design-system, and lite-studio) - Pointed the 5 internal `'../admonition'` imports back at the `'../Admonition'` directory **Removed:** - `packages/ui-patterns/src/admonition.tsx`, and its `./admonition` entry in the exports map (regenerated with `pnpm gen:exports`) ## To test - `grep -r "ui-patterns/admonition" --include='*.ts*'` → no hits - `pnpm test:case-hazards` → passes - `pnpm typecheck` → all 15 tasks green - `pnpm --filter studio run lint:ratchet` → passes - `pnpm --filter ui-patterns vitest run src/Admonition` → 11 tests pass <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Bug Fixes** * Standardized Admonition component imports across the application and documentation. * Improved compatibility with case-sensitive environments by using the canonical component path. * Removed the legacy Admonition import entry point. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Alaister Young <10985857+alaister@users.noreply.github.com> |

fix: Skip to main content link should be visible when focused (#48303)
## Problem #47694 introduced a _Skip to main content_ link allowing keyboard users to jump to the main section without having to tab through all the navigation elements. However, this link is completely invisible which means sighted users will not see what is actually focused. ## Solution The best practice for such links is to make them visible on focus. For instance on https://tetralogical.com: <img width="1556" height="305" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/e36f6d73-98b0-46ca-b464-72540a482b5f" /> Here's what it looks like on Studio: <img width="1835" height="335" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/71623306-587a-48aa-b955-43d3368f6073" /> ## How to test - Make sure your browser allows to tab to links (https://www.articulatesupport.com/article/How-to-Enable-Tab-Key-Navigation-on-a-Mac) - Open https://studio-staging-git-gildasgarcia-fe-3805-add-ski-cf6824-supabase.vercel.app and sign in - Once the Studio is loaded, verify the button isn't be visible - Press _Tab_: the button should be visible. - Press _Enter_, then press _Tab: the organizations search input should be focused |

fix(pg-meta): scope remaining O(catalog) introspection queries behind pgMetaScopedIntrospection (#48148)
## I have read the [CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) file. YES ## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Bug fix (performance), follow-up to #47894, plus regression-guard tests. ## What is the current behavior? #47894 scoped the Table Editor and entity-definition introspection queries, but four more `@supabase/pg-meta` query families still do O(catalog) work per request. On a production project with a very large catalog (hundreds of schemas, ~465K `pg_constraint` rows) they run 5 to 55 seconds each, trip the 58s `statement_timeout`, and spill sorts to temp files. During a recent "DB CPU > 85%" incident on such a project, 24 of 27 active backends were running these queries concurrently. 1. **`tables.retrieve()` (single-table lookup by name+schema or id)**: the `tables`/`columns` CTEs scan the whole catalog (`pg_class`, `pg_constraint`, `pg_index`, all of `pg_attribute`, per-table sizes) and the one-table predicate is applied only on the outer select. Same bug class #47894 fixed for the OID-based table editor query; this sibling path never got the treatment. It accounted for 94 of the 96 statement-timeout cancellations in the incident. 2. **Types listing**: the `t_enums` and `t_attributes` subqueries aggregate the entire `pg_enum` and every composite relation before the wrapper's schema filter applies. 3. **Table privileges**: `aclexplode` + double `pg_roles` join + GROUP BY over every relation in the database; schema/OID filters applied only after aggregation, in both `list()` and `retrieve()`. 4. **Row counts**: `getTableRowsCountSql` treats `reltuples = -1` (never-analyzed table) as "small table, run exact count(*)". A freshly bulk-loaded multi-million-row table times out on every Table Editor pagination render. Two Studio-side amplifiers turned one slow query into a sustained load storm: - `useTableQuery` (behind `tables.retrieve()`) mounts once per visible foreign-key grid cell via `ForeignKeyFormatter`, so a single Table Editor view fires ~20 concurrent copies against the FK target table. A timed-out query caches nothing, and TanStack retries errored no-data queries on every observer mount by default, so scrolling kept re-issuing the 58s scan. - `useTableApiAccessQuery` fetched table privileges for the entire database and filtered down to one schema client-side. ## What is the new behavior? **pg-meta (all behind the existing `pgMetaScopedIntrospection` flag, same rollout mechanism as #47894; `scoped: false` keeps serving the current SQL):** - `tables.retrieve()`: the identifier is resolved to a scalar `targetOid` init-plan and pushed into the base scan, primary-key, relationships (both FK directions kept: `conrelid` or `confrelid`) and columns CTEs. A materialized `target` CTE was deliberately avoided: it acts as an optimization barrier and forces the very seq scans being removed. - Types: filter `pg_type`/`pg_namespace` first, then compute enums/attributes per surviving row via correlated index-scan subqueries (`pg_enum(enumtypid, enumsortorder)`, `pg_attribute(attrelid, attnum)`). - Table privileges: schema/OID predicates injected into the base WHERE before `aclexplode`/GROUP BY for `list()` and `retrieve()`. - Row counts: `reltuples = -1` is treated as "unknown" and gated on physical size via `pg_relation_size` (a cheap stat call; `relpages` is equally stale pre-vacuum). At or below `THRESHOLD_ESTIMATE_BYTES` (~10MB, derived from `THRESHOLD_COUNT` at a conservative ~200 bytes/row) the exact count runs as before: fast by construction, and it avoids bogus estimates since Postgres floors never-vacuumed heaps at 10 pages, so an empty table would otherwise report ~2K estimated rows. Above the gate the count routes through the EXPLAIN-based `pg_temp.count_estimate`, or returns `-1`/`is_estimate = true` in read-only contexts where the temp function cannot be created. The scoped branch embeds the estimated select via `literal()` instead of legacy's apostrophe-only escaping, so it stays correct under `standard_conforming_strings = off`. `enforceExactCount` unchanged. **Studio:** - The flag decision is contained in the data layer instead of prop-drilled: a small imperative accessor (`apps/studio/data/scoped-introspection.ts`) is hydrated from `useFlag` via a one-line `useSyncScopedIntrospection()` call in `DefaultLayout`, and the query functions read it internally when building the pg-meta SQL. `DefaultLayout` is shared by both the Next and TanStack router trees; hydrating from `_app.tsx` alone would leave TanStack-served pages permanently unscoped since `routes/__root.tsx` mounts its own flag provider. Cold loads cannot race the flag: the query functions await a readiness promise that resolves only after the sync hook has hydrated the accessor with a loaded flag store (immediately on self-hosted where flags are disabled; a 5s safety net armed lazily on the first `ready()` call - not at module import, which would let the timer expire before a project page ever mounts - bounds genuine ConfigCat outages). No component threading, no query-key changes (remaining tradeoff, documented in the module: a mid-session flag flip can serve stale-keyed caches until refetch, fine for a session-stable rollout flag). #47894's existing threading is left as-is and gets deleted together with the flag in the cleanup PR. Also fixes the previously-missing `scoped` pass-through in `getTableRowsCount`. - Flag-independent hardening: `useTableQuery` now sets `retryOnMount: false`, `refetchOnWindowFocus: false` and `staleTime: 5min`. Errored (timed-out) queries no longer refire on every grid cell remount, while stale successful metadata still revalidates on mount after `staleTime`. - `useTableApiAccessQuery` now passes `includedSchemas: [schemaName]`; the client-side filter stays as a safety net. - The rows-count query is `enabled`-gated on the permission check settling, so a transiently-false `canSQLAdminWrite` can no longer cache a read-only `-1` count for a writable user (read replicas short-circuit synchronously as before). **Regression guards (extending the #47894 infrastructure):** - Execution-based scoped-vs-legacy equivalence tests for all four queries: both variants run against the test database and are compared with raw `toEqual` - no normalization, ids included (types across 6 option combos, privileges incl. multi-grantee + PUBLIC, `tables.retrieve` for both identifier branches, row counts for every case where the two paths must agree). Two documented exceptions where only the LEGACY side is sorted, because a de-normalized diagnostic run proved legacy emits genuinely plan-dependent order there (an adversarial-FK fixture shows it is neither oid, name, nor creation order): the `types.list` outer row order (scoped adds `order by t.oid`; legacy has no ORDER BY) and the `tables.retrieve` relationships array (scoped orders by `constraint_name` + column-name tie-breakers - a composite two-column FK expands to 4 entries sharing one constraint_name). Everything else (privileges via `aclexplode` over the same relacl, columns by `ordinal_position`, primary keys by `indkey` order, enums by `enumsortorder`) is byte-identical between the two paths with no test-side help. The one intentional value divergence, never-analyzed tables above the size gate where legacy's exact count is the timeout bug itself, is asserted explicitly as a divergence. - Plan-guard budgets for every scoped query against the stress catalog (extended with 200 enums + 200 composite types). Residual seq scans are justified in-budget: `pg_constraint` max 2 (no index on `confrelid`), `pg_attrdef` max 1, `pg_authid` max 2 (scales with role count, not schema count). - Legacy templates carry a FROZEN do-not-edit marker (they must keep matching production behavior until the flag cleanup deletes them); the ordinary test suite runs against the legacy default, so behavioral drift there fails regular tests. ### Validation - pg-meta: typecheck clean; the affected suites (types, table-privileges, tables, rows-count, catalog-plan-guard) pass in full. - Cross-version: the scoped-vs-legacy equivalence and rows-count behavioral suites were validated on PostgreSQL 14, 15, and 17 (identical results on all three). Two version-marginal planner choices surfaced on 17 (`pg_type` / `pg_class` seq scan vs full-index bitmap for per-schema listings, both structurally unavoidable without an index leading on the namespace column) and are carried as justified plan-guard budget entries. A full 468-test suite run sequentially: 452 passed, 16 failures verified environmental (13 timeouts in an untouched file that passes 27/27 in isolation on the marathon-run cluster, 3 cluster-global role collisions from container reuse). - Studio: `pnpm --filter studio typecheck` clean; 39/39 tests across the touched data hooks; eslint clean on touched files. ### Rollout Same staged ConfigCat rollout as #47894 via `pgMetaScopedIntrospection` (user-email targeting first, then percentage, then 100%). The `useTableQuery` hardening and the API-access schema scoping ship unflagged (behavior-safe). Gate before percentage rollout: functionally verify the FK popover/selector UX under the new `staleTime`/`retryOnMount` settings (a just-edited FK target must not look stale anywhere Studio does not already refetch on save). Once fully rolled out, the legacy templates and flag get deleted together with #47894's in one cleanup PR. 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) --------- Co-authored-by: Claude Fable 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

fix(eslint): promote require-explicit-tabindex to error (#48170)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Accessibility / lint hardening (Safari keyboard focus). ## What is the current behavior? `supabase/require-explicit-tabindex` is `'warn'`. Studio’s ratchet was at 0 but the rule was still ratcheted; www / docs / design-system still had raw `<button>` / `role="button"` call sites without an explicit `tabIndex`. [DEPR-627](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/DEPR-627) · follow-up to #47984 / #48040 ## What is the new behavior? - Shared config: `'supabase/require-explicit-tabindex': 'error'` - Swept www / docs / design-system (+ Studio test fixtures the ratchet skipped) - Removed the rule from the Studio ratchet + baselines ## To test Prefer **Safari**. This PR only adds explicit `tabIndex` to raw `<button>` / `role="button"` call sites — not links, and not controls that already go through `Button` from `ui`. ### Marketing (`www`) ([staging link](https://zone-www-dot-com-git-danny-depr-627-promote-req-7ae43c-supabase.vercel.app/)) - [x] Homepage frameworks / dashboard feature tabs — Tab through each tab button - [x] Product pages (e.g. `/auth`, `/database`) — section tab switchers - [x] Narrow viewport — open the hamburger; Tab through menu buttons - [x] `/partners/catalog` — filter / view controls - [x] Blog view toggle (list ↔ grid) ### Docs ([staging link](https://docs-git-danny-depr-627-promote-require-explici-25e46d-supabase.vercel.app/)) - [x] **Desktop (≥ lg):** top-right **⋯ menu** (hamburger icon) — opens a dropdown that includes Theme. Not a separate theme button. - [x] **Mobile (< lg):** top-right **hamburger** opens the sheet; close (X) is the raw button we tagged. Theme inside the sheet uses `ThemeToggle` / `DropdownMenuTrigger` from `ui` (already supposed to set `tabIndex`). - [x] **Code blocks** — copy / language controls - [x] **Is this helpful?** — X / check are `Button` from `ui` (should already Tab). After voting **while signed in**, the follow-up “What went well?” / “How can we improve?” text button is the raw one we tagged. - [x] **AI Tools → Copy as Markdown** (right rail on a guide) — this is the only GuidesSidebar control this PR changed. “On this page” TOC items are **links**, not covered by this lint. - [x] **Reference docs** (e.g. JS client reference) — section headers that expand/collapse in the left nav (`Collapsible.Trigger`) - [x] **Troubleshooting index** — type in the search field, then Tab to the **clear (X)** control ### Dashboard (`studio`) No production UI changes in this PR (tests + lint config only). Quick Safari smoke that prior tabindex work still holds: - [x] Project sidebar — Tab through primary nav links - [x] Settings → General — Tab through inputs / buttons - [x] Storage → Files — Tab a bucket row / file actions |

feat(studio): connect logo contract for authorize (#48161)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Feature + docs. Closes [DEPR-604](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/DEPR-604/define-connect-logo-asset-and-variant-contract). ## What is the current behavior? `/authorize` logo resolution trusted self-asserted requester `name` (and similar) for curated MCP marks, fell back to a letter tile when there was no usable icon, and always used theme-reactive tile chrome. This includes the scenario when pairing against unclassified uploaded OAuth app bitmaps. ## What is the new behavior? - [Documents the Connect logo asset/variant contract](https://design-system-git-danny-depr-604-connect-logo-contract-supabase.vercel.app/design-system/docs/ui-patterns/connect-interstitials#logos) (default to light, keep pairs matched, no theme-recolour of vendor SVGs). - Resolves curated partner logos from allowlisted `redirect_uri` hosts only (`claude.ai` / `anthropic.com`, `cursor.com` / `cursor.sh`, `chatgpt.com` / `openai.com`, `perplexity.ai`). - Unknown / missing / failed requester icons show `SupabaseLogo` alone (no letter tile). - Uploaded organisation OAuth app icons (unclassified bitmaps) pair with fixed light tile chrome (`border-black/10 bg-white` / `SupabaseLogo forceLight`) on both sides across Studio themes. - Curated partners keep theme-reactive tiles and may use dark assets when available. ### To test Real MCP clients (Claude, Cursor, etc.) only send users to **production** `/authorize`, so you cannot drive a local or preview Studio build from those tools. Use a Network override instead: 1. Start Studio and sign in (`pnpm dev:studio`, or use the Vercel preview once available). 2. Open `/dashboard/authorize?auth_id=foo` (any `auth_id` is fine — the real response may 404). 3. DevTools → **Network** → find `GET …/platform/oauth/authorizations/foo` (or whatever id you used). 4. Right-click → **Override content** (enable Local Overrides / pick a folder if prompted). 5. Paste one of the payloads below (status **200**), save, then reload the authorize page. 6. Keep `expires_at` in the future so the request does not look expired. The fields that matter for this PR are `name`, `icon`, and `redirect_uri`. #### Curated pair (allowlisted redirect) Expect Cursor mark + Supabase pair. Toggle light/dark: curated dark assets may swap; tiles stay theme-reactive (`bg-surface-75`). ```json { "name": "Cursor", "website": "https://cursor.com", "icon": null, "domain": "cursor.com", "redirect_uri": "https://cursor.com/callback", "expires_at": "2099-01-01T00:00:00.000Z", "scopes": ["organizations:read", "projects:read"], "approved_at": null, "registration_type": "dynamic" } ``` #### Unknown → Supabase alone Expect Supabase bolt alone. No letter tile. No curated mark even if `name` says Claude. ```json { "name": "Acme", "website": "https://acme.example", "icon": null, "domain": "acme.example", "redirect_uri": "https://acme.example/callback", "expires_at": "2099-01-01T00:00:00.000Z", "scopes": ["organizations:read", "projects:read"], "approved_at": null, "registration_type": "dynamic" } ``` #### Spoofed trusted name, non-allowlisted redirect (logo only) Expect Supabase alone (no Claude mark). This PR does **not** show the impersonation caution (that is coming in #48162). ```json { "name": "Claude", "website": "https://claude.ai", "icon": null, "domain": "claude.ai", "redirect_uri": "https://evil.com/callback", "expires_at": "2099-01-01T00:00:00.000Z", "scopes": ["organizations:read", "projects:read"], "approved_at": null, "registration_type": "dynamic" } ``` #### Uploaded OAuth app icon → forced-light pair Expect remote icon + Supabase pair with forced-light tiles (`border-black/10 bg-white`) on both sides in light and dark Studio themes. The icon URL below is the checked-in solid-colour Acme bitmap on this branch. ```json { "name": "Acme", "website": "https://acme.example", "icon": "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/supabase/supabase/danny/depr-604-connect-logo-contract/apps/design-system/public/img/icons/acme-oauth-icon.png", "domain": "acme.example", "redirect_uri": "https://acme.example/callback", "expires_at": "2099-01-01T00:00:00.000Z", "scopes": ["organizations:read", "projects:read"], "approved_at": null, "registration_type": "static" } ``` <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Improved authorization interstitial branding with trusted requester logos and safer fallback behavior. * Added support for consistent light-theme treatment of uploaded OAuth app icons. * Added examples and documentation for unknown requesters, uploaded logos, and wrong-account states. * **Bug Fixes** * Prevented unverified or unavailable requester icons from being presented as trusted. * Ensured logo pairing remains visually consistent across light and dark themes. * **Tests** * Added coverage for trusted-host validation, fallback branding, icon loading failures, and theme behavior. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Joshen Lim <joshenlimek@gmail.com> |

chore(design-system): standardise keyboard focus rings (#41575)
## I have read the [CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) file. YES ## What kind of change does this PR introduce? UI / design-system consistency (accessibility). ## What is the current behavior? Keyboard focus rings are inconsistent across Studio and `packages/ui`: - Custom Button uses thick `outline` with per-variant colours (brand / grey / destructive / warning) - Form controls use muted grey rings (`ring-background-control`) - Tabs / NavMenu / Radio use soft brand `ring-ring` - Studio `.inset-focus` uses dark green `outline-brand-600` Related: [DEPR-354](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/DEPR-354). ## What is the new behavior? One shared focus recipe, exposed as Tailwind `@utility` classes in `packages/config/css/utilities.css`: | Utility | Use when | | --- | --- | | `focus-ring` | Buttons, inputs, most controls (offset ring) | | `focus-inset` | Dense/flush surfaces such as interactive table rows (renamed from `inset-focus`) | ```txt # focus-ring outline-hidden focus-visible:ring-2 focus-visible:ring-ring focus-visible:ring-offset-2 focus-visible:ring-offset-background ``` Applied on Button, shadcn form controls, Menu/NavMenu, Command palette trigger, Studio table rows, and related call sites. Documented in the design-system accessibility docs. Variants do not change focus ring colour. When the ring must appear on a different element than the focused one (e.g. Menu + ProductMenu `Link` via `group-focus-visible`, or InputGroup via `:has()`), keep an explicit ring stack. The utilities bake in `:focus-visible` on the same element. ## Additional context **Out of scope** - Full `packages/ui` / Studio / www sweep - Legacy Studio form-group green box-shadow cleanup - ESLint rule for bare `outline-none` ## Test plan Prefer Safari (“hard mode” for `tabIndex`). Expect one soft brand ring everywhere: not grey, not solid green outline. ### Design system - [ ] [Accessibility](https://design-system-git-dnywh-choreimprove-tab-focus-styles-supabase.vercel.app/design-system/docs/accessibility): recipe docs match what you see - [ ] [Button](https://design-system-git-dnywh-choreimprove-tab-focus-styles-supabase.vercel.app/design-system/docs/components/button): Tab primary / default / danger; same ring colour - [ ] [Table → Row-level navigation](https://design-system-git-dnywh-choreimprove-tab-focus-styles-supabase.vercel.app/design-system/docs/components/table#row-level-navigation): Tab an interactive row; inset outline (`focus-inset`) sits inside the row ### Studio - [ ] **Org home → table view** (`/organizations/_` or org projects): switch to the table layout, Tab onto a project row; inset outline sits inside the row (list/card view uses CardButton, not `focus-inset`) - [ ] **Project sidebar** (Database, Auth, Storage, …): Tab the main product nav links; ring follows the focused item (not the nested section menus like Tables / Roles) - [ ] **Storage → Files**: Tab a bucket row; same inset outline as org table rows - [ ] **Project Settings → General** (or Compute and Disk): Tab through inputs, checkboxes, switches, selects; same offset ring, no ring on mouse click - [ ] **Header ⌘K** (desktop width): Tab to the search control after Feedback; same soft brand `focus-ring` (was a thicker `ring-border-strong` before) - [ ] **Table Editor or SQL Editor tabs**: focus a tab, Tab to × if active; close shows a ring - [ ] **Light + dark**: ring stays visible against both backgrounds |

chore(studio): polish vercel deploy-button new project interstitial (#48113)
## I have read the [CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) file. YES ## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Studio UI polish for the Vercel deploy-button new-project connect flow (DEPR-616 follow-up). ## What is the current behavior? - Deploy-button project creation still used `VercelIntegrationWindowLayout` (top bar + Docs/Support footer) while install and choose-project already use shared `InterstitialLayout` - The remove-integration note sat as a floating admonition above the form - Advanced / internal-only config sections could show double dividers, and the Oriole radio bottom border could clip inside the collapsible ## What is the new behavior? - Deploy-button new-project uses `InterstitialLayout` with `VercelIntegrationLogo` and `VercelIntegrationFooter`, matching the other Vercel connect surfaces - Regular `/new` project creation is unchanged; Panel chrome is only flattened when `isVercelIntegrationFlow` is set - Removes unused `VercelIntegrationWindowLayout` / `IntegrationWindowLayout` - Fixes Advanced/Internal-only dividers and collapsible border clipping | Before | After | | --- | --- | | <img width="965" height="1107" alt="Supabase" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/99c1225c-c9e5-4fac-bd64-17920403e447" /> | <img width="965" height="1107" alt="Create Vercel Project Supabase" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/c42bff96-5f9f-4c8b-8f3c-093e380f90ed" /> | ## Additional context ### Testing With Studio running locally and while signed in: 1. Open `http://localhost:8082/integrations/vercel/<your-org-slug>/deploy-button/new-project` 2. Confirm the interstitial card: Vercel + Supabase logo pair, “Create a new project” title, form fields, and the muted remove-integration footer under the card 3. Confirm there is no old window chrome (no “Marketplace Connector” / “Deploy Button” top bar, no Docs/Support footer) 4. Optionally submit and confirm project creation still works 5. Spot-check `/new` to confirm the normal project creation form is unchanged If you have advanced config enabled, expand Advanced Configuration and confirm single dividers (not doubles) and that the Oriole option’s bottom border is not clipped. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added configurable width to the shared interstitial layout for Vercel project creation. * Updated the Vercel “new project” flow to use the interstitial UI. * **Bug Fixes** * Prevented child borders/shadows from being clipped in expandable configuration sections. * **Refactor** * Removed legacy Vercel/window layout components and updated routing to rely on the interstitial flow. * Switched advanced and internal-only configuration sections to render inside panel content. * **Documentation** * Refreshed Vercel integration route guidance in the migration checklist and inline route comments. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Joshen Lim <joshenlimek@gmail.com> |

Chore/add sessions database connections (#48094)
## Context Initial work for Top for Postgres - adds a "Sessions" section under a new Observability segment "Database Connections" NOTE: All the copywriting and naming might change - not sure what's an ideal title for this We'll also be iteratively building on top of this UI, adding more actionable signals instead of just information Changes are featured flagged, off for public - This would essentially replace the "View ongoing queries" in the SQL Editor by providing a dedicated UI - It checks against `pg_stat_activity` as per the ongoing queries UI - We'll also subsequently deprecate the "Ongoing queries" UI in the SQL editor - Defaults into a "live mode" where the data is refreshed every 3 seconds via long-polling <img width="983" height="474" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/16402fe4-0b53-4f9e-9342-cdda26e3778a" /> - Supports filtering by state <img width="374" height="282" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/562f8fbe-2dc6-48e7-8ec0-de7ffb8348d1" /> - Users can also terminate queries through here <img width="247" height="164" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/23a639dc-8f96-473a-a823-605b0bab02ee" /> <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit # Release Notes * **New Features** * Added an Observability **Database Connections** page with a live **Sessions** activity table (state/roles filtering, blocked-by details, session duration, and per-session termination with confirmation). * Included a **Live/Pause** toggle to control automatic refresh (~3 seconds). * **Enhancements** * Improved Reports selection filtering: supports optional option quantities, better popover styling, sorted apply behavior, and shows quantity inline. * Query performance duration formatting now supports configurable decimal precision. * Tooltips can now render richer content (string or React node). <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

fix(studio): guard panel collapse/resize on narrow viewports (#48098)
## Summary Fixes FE-3955 / [SUPABASE-APP-K41](https://supabase.sentry.io/issues/7613475596/) — a crash affecting 101 users (502 occurrences, escalating) since the "maximise AI assistant" feature (#47954) shipped on 2026-07-15. `DefaultLayout` calls `panelRef.current.collapse()` / `.resize()` on the `panel-content` resizable panel whenever the AI assistant sidebar is maximised. Below the `md` breakpoint, `LayoutSidebar` renders no panel at all (the sidebar shows as a mobile sheet instead), leaving `panel-content` as the *only* panel in the `ResizablePanelGroup`. `react-resizable-panels`' resize algorithm assumes a neighboring panel exists to pivot against, so with a single panel it computes an invalid pivot index of `-1` and throws `Panel constraints not found for index -1`. This guards the effect with the same `isMobile` breakpoint check `LayoutSidebar` already uses, so we never call `collapse()`/`resize()` when there's no sibling panel to resize against. ## Test plan - [ ] On a narrow viewport (or actual mobile device), open the AI assistant and toggle maximise — should no longer throw - [ ] On desktop, confirm maximise/minimise still resizes the content panel as before <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Bug Fixes** * Fixed a mobile layout issue where the sidebar could collapse or resize incorrectly, leading to runtime errors. * Improved the sidebar’s resize/collapse behavior on mobile devices to keep the layout stable. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

fix(studio): chip away explicit-tabindex ratchet debt (#48040)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? A11y cleanup follow-up to #47984 / [DEPR-626](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/DEPR-626). ## What is the current behavior? Studio had 82 ratcheted `supabase/require-explicit-tabindex` violations (raw `<button>` / `role="button"` without explicit `tabIndex`). ## What is the new behavior? - Explicit `tabIndex={0}` (or disabled → `-1`) on those Studio call sites across nav, `components/ui`, Database, Storage, and the remainder - Ratchet baseline cleared (**82 → 0**) and the rule **removed from the Studio ratchet** (debt is gone; ratchet is temporary) - Rule remains a shared **`warn`** for now — promoting to `error` (and sweeping www/docs/design-system) is a follow-up - Also fixed the learn/ui-library call sites that surfaced while experimenting with error promotion - Small follow-ups where making controls focusable exposed gaps: accessible names, disabled/focus consistency, focus-ring polish on To-test surfaces, home section `KeyboardSensor`, and an E2E locator tightened after `aria-label="Remove column"` Prefer migrating to `Button` from `ui` in future touch-ups; this PR takes the minimal path so Studio debt can stay at zero. ## Additional context Batches landed together so baseline conflicts stayed simple while chipping away: - Hotspots / nav (FirstLevelNav, Marketplace, AttachmentUpload, Column, Tabs, …) - `components/ui` shared - Database + Storage - Remainder **Out of scope / intentional deferrals** - Promoting `supabase/require-explicit-tabindex` to a lint **error** (follow-up after www/docs/design-system sweeps) - Tabs/Radio roving, tooltips, context menus, in-menu items - Full keyboard-accessible tab-close UX (close stays hover + `tabIndex={-1}`; context menu still closes tabs) - Data API docs links (`/project/<ref>/api` redirect) **Reviewer notes** - Rule only flags raw `<button>` / `role="button"` without a `tabIndex` prop. `Button` from `ui` already bakes this in - `tabIndex={-1}` is intentional for disabled controls, in-menu / roving-focus children, and hover-only tab close - For dnd-kit grips, put `tabIndex` **after** `{...attributes}` so it isn’t overwritten (TS2783) ### To test Use **Safari** with macOS Keyboard navigation **off** (System Settings → Keyboard). Chrome once for a sanity pass. For each surface below: Tab until the control is focused, then activate with Enter/Space where relevant. 1. **API Docs side panel** (Table Editor → open a table → **API docs**) - Floating API Docs panel — **not** `/project/<ref>/api` (that redirects to Data API docs; language ToggleGroup uses arrow keys; links are out of scope) - Left nav buttons — Tab through several and activate one; active highlight / navigation still works 2. **Integrations → Marketplace** - Enable **Integrations layout** feature preview first (avatar menu → Feature previews) - `/org/<slug>/integrations` or project integrations marketplace - “Clear all”, grid/list toggles — Tab + activate 3. **Table Editor → create a table → Columns** - Drag handles only appear while **creating** (not when editing an existing table) - Tab to grip / remove (X) / sensitive-data eye if shown 4. **Project Home** — section drag handles - Tab to a grip (visible focus ring) - Optional: Space to pick up, arrows to move, Space/Esc to drop (KeyboardSensor added) - Mouse dnd still works 5. **Storage → Policies** — expand/collapse bucket list chevron (design-system focus ring, no stuck grey open bg) 6. **Support form** (Help → Support) — attachment remove (×) and add-attachment control when visible Disabled controls should be **skipped** by Tab. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Accessibility Improvements** * Improved keyboard navigation throughout Studio by explicitly managing focus (`tabIndex`) across many interactive controls (menus, tabs, tables, charts, dialogs, navigation, and form actions). * Disabled or non-interactive controls are now removed from the tab order (or made unfocusable), while available actions remain reachable. * Ensured `type="button"` on relevant controls to prevent unintended submissions, and refined keyboard focus behavior for various toggles and copy/remove actions. * **Chores** * Updated the ESLint rule baseline configuration to match the new focus behavior. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

fix(studio): untangle nested buttons in editor tabs (#48101)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce?
A11y markup + keyboard close for editor tabs (Table Editor open tables /
SQL Editor snippets).
## What is the current behavior?
Editor tabs nest interactive elements (already in prod):
1. Sortable shell spreads dnd-kit `attributes` → `div role="button"
tabindex="0"`
2. Inner `TabsTrigger` → real `<button role="tab">`
3. Close control → `role="button"` nested inside the tab button
Close was hover/pointer-only. There was no clear keyboard path.
## What is the new behavior?
**Markup**
- Sortable shell is a plain `div` (no dnd-kit `attributes` / no
`role="button"`). Safe because tab reorder only uses `PointerSensor`.
- Close is a real `<button type="button">` **sibling** of `TabsTrigger`.
- Same for the non-draggable “New” tab.
**Keyboard close**
- ←/→ still move between tabs (Radix roving tabindex — Tab key does not
walk every tab).
- **Delete** or **Backspace** on a focused tab closes it.
- The **active** tab’s close button is in the tab order
(`tabIndex={0}`); Tab from the active tab reaches ×, then Enter/Space
closes. Inactive closes stay `tabIndex={-1}`.
- Close shows on hover, focus-within, and focus-visible (with focus
ring).
## Test plan
### Markup
- [ ] Inspect DOM: no `role="button"` wrapper around `role="tab"`; close
is not nested inside the tab button
### Mouse
- [ ] Hover → ×; click × closes
- [ ] Drag reorder still works
- [ ] Middle-click / double-click pin / “New” tab close still work
- [ ] Context menu → Close still works
### Keyboard
- [ ] Focus the active tab (Tab into the strip, or click then Tab)
- [ ] ←/→ moves across tabs
- [ ] Delete or Backspace closes the focused tab
- [ ] From the active tab, Tab once focuses × (visible + ring);
Enter/Space closes
- [ ] Delete while focus is in the table grid / SQL editor (not on a
tab) does **not** close tabs
<!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai
-->
## Summary by CodeRabbit
* **New Features**
* Added dedicated close buttons for tabs, with visibility on hover or
focus.
* Tabs can now be closed using the Delete or Backspace keys when
focused.
* **Bug Fixes**
* Improved tab selection and drag interactions when clicking or pressing
tab close controls.
* Prevented closing a tab from unintentionally activating or dragging
it.

fix(studio): polish advisor attention indicator quirks (#47714)
## I have read the [CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) file. YES ## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Bug fix / UI polish. ## What is the current behavior? - The Advisors sidebar attention dot drifts 1–2px sideways on hover-expand, because its `left` offset was tied to the expanded state while the nav icon only shifts when the sidebar is persistently open. - When the Advisor Center header button is selected while in a critical state, it keeps a destructive outline instead of matching the other header circles (`bg-foreground`). ## What is the new behavior? - Sidebar attention dot offset follows the same condition as nav icon padding (persistently open), so it no longer drifts on hover-expand. - Selected Advisor Center button matches the other header circles (foreground fill, no destructive outline). Critical idle styling is unchanged aside from a destructive hover border. The critical dot is slightly lighter when selected in light mode so it still contrasts on the inverted fill. ## Additional context Earlier commits on this branch experimented with a shared `useAdvisorAttention` hook to sync the sidebar and header indicators. That was dropped: the sidebar Advisors route goes to project security/performance pages, while the header opens Advisor Center (including org notifications). Those surfaces should not share one attention definition — thanks Joshen for catching that. --------- Co-authored-by: Joshen Lim <joshenlimek@gmail.com> |

fix(studio): hide Postgres Version Upgrade logs behind a flag (#48007)
## Problem The legacy Logs Explorer's Postgres Version Upgrade page (Database Operations section) shows no results for most users. pg_upgrade_logs rows aren't tagged with the project attribute the shared logs endpoint scopes on, only a host field, so the project-scoped query returns nothing even though the data exists. ## Fix Hides the Database Operations sidebar section behind a new showPostgresUpgradeLogs feature flag (default off), following the same pattern as showMultigresLogs. The page route itself is untouched, only the sidebar entry point is gated. ## How to test - With the flag off, open the legacy Logs Explorer sidebar and confirm the Database Operations section and Postgres Version Upgrade item are gone - With the flag on, confirm the section and item render as before <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added conditional access to Postgres Version Upgrade logs based on feature availability. * Failed Postgres upgrade notifications now show a “View logs” option only when supported. * **Bug Fixes** * Prevented unsupported Postgres upgrade log links and navigation options from appearing. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

Extract project creation form into its own component (#47957)

fix(studio): color regressions after theme update (#47794)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Bug fix + small shared component ## What is the current behavior? After the recent colour system changes, several UI elements lost contrast in light mode: - `InfoIcon` with a background appeared as a flat grey circle (glyph fill matched the background) - Several buttons forced `text-white`, which no longer contrasts correctly against the updated brand fills - Selected / completed check badges were inconsistent between call sites ## What is the new behavior? - `InfoIcon` uses `text-background` for the glyph fill so the "i" is visible against the grey circle - www primary buttons drop hardcoded `text-white` and use standard `Button` colours - New shared `SuccessCheck` in `ui` for selected state and completion progress (green circle; white check in light mode, black check in dark mode) - Documented in the design system with selected + progress examples Note on `InfoIcon`: [#47933](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/47933) landed a related fix using `text-background-200` (`--card`). This PR keeps `text-background` instead, to match `CheckIcon` / `EyeOffIcon` in the same file and avoid the legacy alias. | Before | After | | --- | --- | | <img width="688" height="268" alt="CleanShot 2026-07-10 at 11 30 25@2x" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/c0276b0c-1023-46c8-805c-35a22def1353" /> | <img width="664" height="278" alt="CleanShot 2026-07-10 at 11 29 43@2x" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/3508cf37-1b48-4fb7-a939-83522feb44f1" /> | | <img width="468" height="550" alt="CleanShot 2026-07-10 at 11 31 04@2x" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/acd42273-15ce-4fb2-9d0c-5a43ac23073c" /> | <img width="460" height="540" alt="CleanShot 2026-07-10 at 11 32 50@2x" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/f66fb4bc-81f7-4df1-95f5-63980c4e8537" /> | ## To test Use the staging preview link from this PR and check the following in **light mode** (and spot-check dark mode): **www** - Visit `/404` — "Head back" button should have readable text (not white-on-green) - Visit `/company` — "Join the team" button in the Team section - Visit a product page with a hero CTA (e.g. `/database`, `/realtime`) — primary "Start for free" button **studio** - Database → Replication → deploy a read replica — footer `InfoIcon` next to the pricing line should show a visible "i" inside the grey circle - `/redeem` — select an org; green `SuccessCheck` should match light/dark contrast (white check / black check) - Settings → API → service role key row — red "secret" tag text should be readable **design system** - `/docs/components/success-check` — demo, selected-state, and progress examples |

Joshen/fe 3384 prevent ai assistant chat panel from closing after query (#47951)
## Context 2 problems that this PR addresses - but these are in general due to the mobile UI behaviour - Sidebars (e.g Help Panel, Advisor Panel, etc) closes whenever there's a route change - This is happening because of `StudioMobileSheetNav`'s `handleOpenChange` interfering with the sidebar visible state - Am opting to not render `StudioMobileSheetNav` at all unless on mobile - On mobile, if you're on the Advisor Panel, clicking the "Menu" button closes the mobile sheet - Clicking on the Menu button seems to be triggering `MobileSheetNav`'s `onOpenChange` - My suspicion is because of state asymmetry between two independent stores (MobileSheetContext and SidebarManagerState - these 2 are a bit too complex imo) - Am opting to skip calling `onOpenChange` in `StudioMobileSheetNav` if the click target is within the Floating toolbar ## To test - [x] Desktop: Have the assistant panel open and change routes, panel should stay open - [x] Mobile: Open the assistant panel, then switch to the menu, panel should stay open <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Bug Fixes** * Improved mobile navigation interactions so the navigation sheet remains open while toolbar actions are being selected. * Mobile navigation now displays only on smaller screens, preventing it from appearing at medium and larger breakpoints. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

Joshen/fe 3879 schema not exposed warning is unnecessarily repeated in (#47868)
Just a tiny nit i came across - realised that if the schema is not exposed via the API, the warning that we show on the policies page RE data not being selectable is repeated for each table which imo seems unnecessary. Opting for a single admonition at the top instead ## Before <img width="1085" height="744" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/7bd8cf7b-f5a8-47d6-b41f-13fc4782ed8b" /> ### After <img width="1080" height="673" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/c839f502-42ff-4184-ad07-0ff2fd2d2676" /> <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added an on-screen warning for tables whose schemas aren’t exposed via the project Data APIs, including a link to Data API settings. * **UI Improvements** * Refined the “filter entity types” control’s tooltip behavior and updated the popover header text. * **Bug Fixes** * Improved Data API/RLS status messaging by removing the prior “schema not exposed” outcome and showing “unknown” when access can’t be determined. * Consolidated policy warning rendering to avoid duplicated or inconsistent messages. * **Tests** * Updated policy/admonition helper tests to match the revised status and message behavior. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

fix(studio): make paused project messaging easier to scan DEPR-581 (#47807)
## Problem The free-plan paused project notice was a dense paragraph, so the key points (data is safe, resume window, download-after-expiry, upgrade) were easy to skip. ## Fix Present those points as a scannable bullet list, keeping the dynamic day-count tooltip, restore-deadline timestamp, and the existing Pro-wording variant. Also adds a "Project Status" tab to the dev toolbar (local and staging only) with a select for forcing the current project's status, so the paused state and other statuses are easy to preview without touching the backend. It overrides the status in the React Query cache and reverts on close, project navigation, or reset. ## How to test - Run Studio locally against the platform API - Open the dev toolbar, go to the Project Status tab, and select INACTIVE - Navigate to a project page and confirm the paused screen renders - On a free-plan org, confirm the notice now shows the details as bullet points with the day-count tooltip and restore-deadline date intact - Click "Reset to real data" (or close the toolbar) and confirm the status reverts <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added a development toolbar “Project Status” tab to simulate project status and pause states in non-production environments. * Status and pause-state overrides persist locally, can be reset, and are reflected across project detail and paused-state views. * **Style** * Refined paused-project messaging: updated the heading and reworked the free-plan explanation into bullet points, while keeping paid-plan messaging paragraph-based for readability. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

feat(sql-editor): add manual save feature preview (#47745)
## What Adds an opt-in **SQL Editor manual save** feature preview that switches the SQL Editor from autosaving every edit to saving only on demand, and hardens the tab-close flow so unsaved edits are handled correctly. ## Changes **Feature preview** - New `sqlEditorManualSave` flag + `UI_PREVIEW_SQL_EDITOR_MANUAL_SAVE` local-storage toggle, wired into the Feature Preview modal with an explanatory panel. - `useIsSqlEditorManualSaveEnabled` gates behavior on both the flag and the user's preview opt-in. **Editor toolbar** - Save button (with `Cmd+S`) next to Run, plus an autosave status indicator showing dirty/saving/saved state and a shortcut to disable autosave (emits a `sql_editor_autosave_disable_clicked` telemetry event). **Discard on close** - Closing a snippet tab with unsaved edits prompts for confirmation and, on confirm, actually discards the local edits and evicts the cached server copy so the snippet reopens clean. **Decouple tab layout from SQL specifics** - Tabs store gains a generic per-type close-handler registry (`registerTabCloseHandler` / `getCloseConfirmation` / `closeTabs`). The SQL editor registers its discard + confirmation behavior from the save coordinator. - Low-level `removeTab`/`removeTabs` (rename/move re-keying, stale cleanup) intentionally do **not** trigger discard. - Adds `statusOnDiscard` lifecycle transition and `clearSnippetContent` store action. ## Testing - `pnpm --filter=studio typecheck` — clean. - Added unit tests for the close-handler registry (fires on single/multi close, skips re-keying/cleanup removals, respects tab type, selects confirmation copy, unregisters cleanly). <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added a SQL editor manual-save preview with a “Save” button and `Cmd+S`, plus a modal option to disable manual-save/preview. * Added “unsaved changes” tab status indication when manual-save is enabled. * Introduced tab-type-specific close confirmations (shown only when needed). * **Bug Fixes** * In manual-save mode, closing a SQL tab with unsaved edits now clears local snippet content and refreshes it on reopen. * **Tests** * Added coverage for tab close handlers and confirmation behavior. * **Chores** * Added a persisted setting allowlist entry and tracked autosave-disable clicks via telemetry. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

Fix observability custom reports menu item (#47759)
## Context More action button should be flushed to the right here <img width="294" height="156" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/65017960-3edb-4268-bb0e-1e2c26937d4b" /> ## Changes involved - Adjust `Menu.Item` in `packages/ui` to use a `div` instead of a `span` - Was otherwise causing HTML validation issues as we were trying to nest a `div` within a `span` - Having a `div` is a bit more flexible as well since `Menu.Item` expects `children` to be of any type (e.g a react node) <img width="279" height="149" alt="image" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/12730cef-b077-4ef4-93c9-c21def939888" /> <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Refactor** * Standardized the Observability menu component to use named exports, ensuring consistent usage across the app. * Updated the mobile observability menu registration to reference the correct exported component. * **Style** * Refined Observability menu item layout, spacing, truncation, and dropdown sizing for a cleaner presentation. * Enhanced menu item rendering to allow custom `className` styling and full-width content layout. * **Accessibility** * Added an aria-label to the “more actions” button for improved screen reader support. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

fix(studio): DOM-nesting hydration errors, ghost deleted-snippet nav, and migrations query 400s (#47667)
App-level fixes that reproduce on BOTH the Next and TanStack builds — split out of #47657 (which stays TanStack-only) for reviewability. All were found by a full-site click-through of the dashboard. ## Invalid HTML nesting (React 19 "will cause a hydration error" console errors) - **FormLayout description rendered in a `<p>`** (`packages/ui-patterns`): consumers pass arbitrary JSX (the RowEditor's `created_at` timezone note passes a `<div>` with `<p>`s) → `<p>`-in-`<p>` / `<div>`-in-`<p>`. Container is now a `<div>` with identical classes (Tailwind preflight makes them render the same). - **Switch toggles nested inside Tooltip trigger buttons** (button-in-button) in ColumnEditor ("Allow Nullable" + "Is Unique"), ExtensionRow, and PublicationsTableItem → repo-standard `TooltipTrigger asChild` + `<div>` wrapper. - **Saved log queries rendered a `<div>` directly inside `<tbody>`** (`/logs/explorer/saved`) → rows are now proper `<tr><td colSpan>` wrappers; the component itself is untouched (it's valid in its sidebar usage). - **Nested anchors in observability metric cards**: a card-level `<Link>` wrapped MetricCard's "More information" `<Link>` (identical URLs) → the chevron affordance renders as a `<span>` when no `href` is passed; clicks bubble to the card link, tooltips preserved. Design-system standalone usage unaffected. - **`objectFit="cover"` passed to modern `next/image`** on the featured integration card (unknown-prop warning) — the className already had `object-cover`; prop dropped. ## Ghost dead-snippet after deletion Deleting the active SQL snippet left its id in `useDashboardHistory` (`history.sql`), so the "SQL Editor" nav item navigated to `/sql/<deleted-id>` — content fetch 404s, no editor pane renders, and a phantom tab reappears. Fixed both ends: delete flows now purge dashboard history (and the tabs store clears a stale `previewTabId`), and `/sql/[id]` treats a snippet 404 as "clean up + `router.replace` to `/sql/new` + toast" instead of rendering the dead state. Unit tests for the store/history cleanup. ## `pg-meta` migrations query 400s on every project load `ActivityStats` on project home runs the migrations list query, whose SQL was a bare `select * from supabase_migrations.schema_migrations` — that table only exists once a migration has run, so every other project logged a failed `?key=migrations` request on every load (visible in production consoles too). The SQL is now guarded with `to_regclass` + `query_to_xml` (same pattern as the advisor lints' `storage.buckets` guard), returning zero rows instead of erroring; legacy version-only tables still work. Tested against real dockerized Postgres (absent table, populated ordering, special chars, legacy schema) + MSW hook tests. Found and verified via /test-supabase-local (browser click-through + console audit on both builds). ## To test Console must stay free of React DOM-nesting errors ("cannot be a descendant of" / "cannot contain a nested") on each surface: 1. Table editor → Insert row panel (`created_at` field renders its timezone note) and Edit column panel ("Allow Nullable"/"Is Unique" tooltips still hover). 2. `/database/extensions` and `/database/publications` → toggle switches render, tooltips hover. 3. `/logs/explorer/saved` (with ≥1 saved query) → rows render full-width inside the table, hover shows Actions. 4. `/observability` → no nested-anchor error on load; card body click and the chevron both navigate; label help-icons still show tooltips. 5. `/integrations` → no `objectFit` unknown-prop warning; featured card images still cover. 6. **Ghost snippet**: open a SQL snippet → delete it via the sidebar → click the "SQL Editor" nav item → lands on `/sql/new` (no phantom tab, no 404 content fetch). Direct-load `/sql/<random-uuid>` → toast + redirect to `/sql/new`. 7. **Migrations 400**: load project home with a project that has never run a migration → the `pg-meta/<ref>/query?key=migrations` request returns **200** with `[]` (previously a 400 on every load). Database → Migrations still lists real migrations when they exist. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Bug Fixes** * Deleted SQL snippets are fully removed from dashboard history and stale editor/tab state; users are redirected with a toast. * Closing preview tabs no longer leaves stale references. * Improved toggle/tooltip/dialog interactions to avoid broken UI, including metric headers showing tooltips even without direct links. * Migrations display safely when migration tables/relations are missing. * **UI Improvements** * Refreshed layout for saved queries, form descriptions, and integration imagery. * **Tests** * Added coverage for snippet history cleanup, tab removal, migrations SQL behavior, and query edge cases. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --- ### Review feedback: `query_to_xml` breaks on Multigres (Ivan) The defensive migrations query (added here to stop the `?key=migrations` 400 when the table doesn't exist yet) originally guarded with `query_to_xml`, which is forbidden through Multigres's pooler (MUL-736 / PSQL-1318). Rewritten without `query_to_xml`/`xmltable` using the splinter#170 pattern: a PL/pgSQL `do` block guarded by `to_regclass` (PL/pgSQL defers planning, so a missing table never errors) stashes the rows into a transaction-local GUC via `set_config`, and a trailing `select` reads them back with `jsonb_array_elements`. Verified that postgres-meta sends the whole SQL as one simple-query string → single implicit transaction → the local GUC survives to the `select` and doesn't leak into the pooled connection. 6/6 dockerized-Postgres tests (absent table → `[]`, populated/ordered/special-chars, legacy version-only table, full pg-meta-shaped multi-statement string, GUC non-leakage). Note (out of scope, pre-existing): `packages/pg-meta/src/sql/studio/advisor/lints.ts` still uses `query_to_xml` — a separate pre-existing Multigres risk that should get its own splinter-pattern sync. --------- Co-authored-by: Alaister Young <10985857+alaister@users.noreply.github.com> Co-authored-by: Joshen Lim <joshenlimek@gmail.com> Co-authored-by: Saxon Fletcher <saxonafletcher@gmail.com> |
