fix(studio): hide legacy API keys on High Availability projects (#49552)
Multigres (High Availability) projects ship with legacy API keys disabled and the management API rejects re-enabling them, so the Dashboard should not surface them at all. Hides the "Legacy anon, service_role API keys" tab, renders an empty state on the legacy page for direct URL access, and drops the "Copy anonymous API key" / "Copy service API key" commands from the command menu. Non-HA projects are unchanged. Fixes FE-4276 ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * High Availability projects now hide legacy API key navigation and commands. * Legacy API key settings display an unavailable message for High Availability projects. * Publishable and secret key options remain available where supported. * Other projects continue to provide access to supported legacy API key options. * **Bug Fixes** * Prevented unsupported legacy API key controls from appearing on High Availability projects. --------- Co-authored-by: Joshen Lim <joshenlimek@gmail.com> |

[FE-3717] feat(studio): Multigres cluster topology diagram (#49298)
Adds an infrastructure/topology diagram for High Availability (Multigres) projects showing the real cluster topology — gateway tier, shard group, and the primary + read replicas inside it — on both the project homepage and the database/replication page, replacing the primary-only view and the "Replication unavailable" empty state. Addresses [FE-3717](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/FE-3717/show-replicas-in-replication-diagram). **Added:** - `data/ha-admin/` — read-only queries for the mgmt-api `/ha-admin/v1/{gateways,poolers,cells,databases}` multiadmin passthrough (ported from `bobbie/ha-stub`, re-authored to `queryOptions`). Responses are validated with zod at the fetch boundary (all fields optional per proto3 zero-value omission; enum-shaped fields stay plain strings so new proto values degrade gracefully); malformed payloads surface through the diagram's error fallback. - `HaTopology.utils.ts` — pure topology mapper (+ 26 unit tests): shard grouping, primary identified via `routingState.role` (deprecated `type` as fallback) with **failover-safe election** — when the outgoing and incoming primary briefly both claim `ROUTING_ROLE_PRIMARY`, the highest routing rule (coordinator term, leader subterm) wins, matching the multigateway's own election — plus status mapping onto the existing Healthy / Coming up / Going down / Unhealthy vocabulary, and an AZ formatter for `id.cell` that degrades to the raw cell name. - HA diagram nodes/edges: `Multigateway` card, shard group box with header pill (`Shard 1`, `Automatic failover` + tooltip), `Primary Database` card styled like the standard diagram's — neutral border, green icon chip (with the standard CPU / Disk / RAM footer — connections omitted until their meaning through the multigateway is confirmed), `Read Replica` cards, and the standard animated replication edges (status lives on the card badges). Poolers and gateways poll every 30s without re-running layout (topology projection + structural sharing). Drag-to-pan works through the shard group box, and the metrics footer's skeleton matches the loaded row height so the card doesn't shift. - Accessibility: the failover tooltip trigger is a keyboard-focusable button, status badges sit in stable `role="status"` live regions, the region flag is decorative (`alt=""`), and the edge dash/spinner animations respect `prefers-reduced-motion` (applied to the pipelines diagram's edges too). - Fallbacks: `AlertError` ("Failed to retrieve cluster topology") when either ha-admin query errors, and a "Cluster topology unavailable" empty state when the topology comes back empty — never a half-rendered diagram. **Changed:** - `InstanceConfiguration` is now topology-source-aware: it branches internally on `useHighAvailability()`, so both surfaces (homepage `TopSection` and the replication page) get the right diagram with no new wiring. The two-pass measured dagre layout moved into a shared `DiagramFlow`; `nodeTypes`/`edgeTypes` are module-level consts. - `getEdgeVisual` + the mid-edge icon chip lifted out of `ReplicationDiagram/Edges.tsx` into `components/ui/ReactFlow/EdgeVisual.tsx` so both diagrams derive edge icon + line style from one state object (no behavior change for the pipelines diagram). The primary card's CPU/Disk/RAM footer is likewise extracted into a shared `ComputeMetricsFooter`. - Fixes a latent relayout loop inherited from the region-box pattern: handing React Flow a freshly created (unmeasured) group node on every layout pass reset `nodesInitialized`, re-triggering the measured pass and `fitView` forever — which made the diagram snap back to center and effectively unpannable. The shared `DiagramFlow` now re-attaches known measurements to group nodes, which also covers the standard diagram's region boxes. - Standard diagram: the API Load Balancer → primary edge is now static — no data flows over it, the line only indicates a relation. - `database/replication` page: the HA early-return empty state is replaced by the diagram under a "High Availability cluster topology" header. Non-HA projects are untouched. **Intentional deviations from the mock** (for design review): 1. **No per-replica regions** — alpha replicas are one-per-cell inside a single region, so the mock's `eu-west-1` / `ap-southeast-1` on sibling replicas would be false. Availability zone per node, region shown once on the primary. 2. **"Primary Database", not "Main Database"** — matches the string both existing diagrams already ship, and the same component now renders both project types. 3. **No collapse chevron on the shard header** — alpha has exactly one shard; collapsing it would hide the whole diagram. The group box still ships; add collapse when `shards.length > 1`. 4. **Failover shown on the shard group, not replica cards** — failover is a cohort property; per-card badging would assert readiness we can't verify without a per-pooler `/status` fanout. 5. **Standard node/edge styling reused** (per review) — neutral primary border + green chip and the default animated edges instead of the mock's green ring and dashed green arrowed edges, keeping the HA and non-HA diagrams visually consistent. **Confirmed against a real local Multigres cluster:** cells are named `cell-1`/`cell-2`/… (not AZ-shaped — the AZ formatter falls back to the raw cell name as designed); `GET /platform/projects/{ref}/databases` returns only the primary row for HA projects; and the `/ha-admin` passthrough returns **each gateway/pooler record once per cell it fans out to** — the topology mapper dedupes by id, but worth confirming with @sbc-bobbie whether the backend should dedupe. **Known alpha limitation:** node health and the "replicating" edge state derive from the pooler's *topology record* (`lifecycleStatus`/`servingStatus`), not a live probe — a pooler that crashes without publishing a terminal state can read as healthy until the topology evicts its record, and a serving replica with paused replay still shows a green edge. This matches the existing replication diagram's semantics (`ACTIVE_HEALTHY` ⇒ animated edge). Live per-pooler signals (WAL receiver state, replay position) exist on `GET /poolers/{cell}/{name}/status` but need a per-pooler fanout — deliberately deferred, noted on `getPoolerStatus`. **Still to confirm** (doesn't block review): whether the `/ha-admin` passthrough is deployed to production or staging-only (if staging-only, this should get a flag before GA). ## To test Tested end-to-end locally against a real Multigres project (standard-project regression pass, HA creation flow, error fallback against real 500s, and full topology + polling + console checks against live multiadmin data): - **HA project homepage**: diagram card shows Multigateway → shard box (`Shard 1`, count badge, `Automatic failover` tooltip) → green-bordered Primary Database (region, AZ, size) + Read Replica cards (AZ), dashed green animated edges to healthy replicas. No flow/map toggle for HA. - **HA project → Database → Replication**: same diagram under a "High Availability cluster topology" header; no Destinations section; the old "Replication unavailable…" state is gone. - **Error path**: if `/ha-admin/v1/*` fails, both surfaces show "Failed to retrieve cluster topology" with Contact support — no partial diagram. - **Standard project regression**: homepage diagram (primary card, flow ⇄ map toggle round-trips), replication page (pipelines diagram + Destinations) all unchanged; zero requests to `/ha-admin/*`. ## Summary by CodeRabbit - **New Features** - Added High Availability topology diagrams to the Replication page. - Display gateways, primary databases, replicas, shards, statuses, regions, infrastructure details, and compute metrics. - Added observability links and live topology updates with loading, error, and unavailable states. - **Bug Fixes** - Improved handling of incomplete infrastructure identities and unexpected data. - Corrected topology layout, node spacing, and visual edge behavior. - **Accessibility** - Reduced-motion preferences now disable diagram animations and loading effects. - Improved status announcements for assistive technologies. --------- Co-authored-by: Alaister Young <10985857+alaister@users.noreply.github.com> |

fix(studio): treat region flags as decorative by default (#49574)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Studio accessibility fix. ## What is the current behavior? `RegionFlag` defaults to `alt=""`, but only some callsites also pass `aria-hidden` / `role="presentation"`. Decorative flags beside visible region names can still be announced inconsistently. ## What is the new behavior? `RegionFlag` defaults to `aria-hidden` when `alt` is empty, matching how the component is used next to visible region text. Redundant callsite a11y props from #49517 are removed. ## To test - Open [Edge Function observability](https://studio-staging-git-dnywh-region-flag-decorative-a11y-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/project/_/observability/edge-functions). Open the **Region** filter and confirm each option still shows a flag beside the region label. The DOM has `aria-hidden` on the flag `img`. Open the new project flow region selector. Confirm the selected-region flag still renders without role="presentation". - Open [New project](https://studio-staging-git-dnywh-region-flag-decorative-a11y-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/new/_). Open the region selector and confirm the selected value and menu items still show flags beside the region names. The DOM has `aria-hidden` on the flag `img`. |

fix(studio): hide social sign-in after email sign-up (#49571)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Bug fix. Resolves [FE-4264](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/FE-4264/hide-social-sign-in-options-after-email-sign-up). ## What is the current behavior? After a successful email and password sign-up, GitHub and ChatGPT sign-in options remain visible even though they do not confirm or link the new account. The success state is presented in a bespoke `Alert` with verbose copywriting. ## What is the new behavior? The social sign-in options and divider are hidden after email sign-up succeeds. The email confirmation message and link back to sign in remain available. The success state is presented in a standard `success` `Admonition` with clearer copywriting. | Before | After | | --- | --- | | | | ## To test 1. Open `/sign-up` and complete an email and password sign-up. 2. Confirm the success message is shown without the GitHub, ChatGPT, or `or` options. 3. Open `/sign-in` and confirm GitHub and ChatGPT remain available there. ## Summary by CodeRabbit - **New Features** - Added shared provider options across sign-in and sign-up flows, including custom providers, external identity providers, and optional SSO. - Added an SSO sign-in button that preserves the current page context. - After successful email signup, alternative signup options are hidden and confirmation messaging appears. - **Bug Fixes** - Improved signup form spacing, submission state, and animated password guidance. - **Tests** - Added coverage for signup behavior across standard and focused-provider configurations. --------- Co-authored-by: Joshen Lim <joshenlimek@gmail.com> |

feat(studio): CLI deploy instructions for workers (FE-4191) (#49194)
## What The surface that shows you how to deploy a worker from the CLI, plus the product rename and the alpha framing. - **Compute → Workers.** `PRODUCT_NAME` and `CLI_NAME` now say `Workers` / `workers`, so the sidebar, page title, command menu, and every generated snippet match the CLI. One name, not two. - **`DeployWorkerDialog`** — scaffold / configure / push, with copyable `supabase workers` and `config.toml` snippets - **`WorkersEmptyState`** — an `EmptyStatePresentational` with a permission-gated deploy action - **`AlphaNotice`** on the list page, and a **New** badge on the sidebar entry (`Route.isNew`) - **`WorkerSnippetTabs`** — CLI, `config.toml`, and curl/JS/Python calls built from one worker shape. Reused by #49195. Snippet URLs resolve from the project's `app_config.endpoint` (`https://<project>/workers/v1/
`, the same shape as `/functions/v1/`), and fall back to `[YOUR WORKER URL]` before settings load rather than printing a wrong host. ## How to test Only on the **Mockamaster** project in staging — it is the one project in the alpha allow-list. 1. Staging dashboard → Mockamaster → **Workers** (the sidebar entry carries a **New** badge) 2. **Deploy a worker** → step through the tabs; every snippet should name the real worker URL, not a placeholder 3. Copy the cURL snippet and run it: expect `401`. Reaching a deployed worker needs a second allow-list (`WORKERS_ALLOWED_PROJECTS` in api-gateway `customer-router/wrangler.toml`), separate from the flag that unlocks the dashboard. 4. Open a project with no workers to see the empty state ## Tests `workerSnippets.test.ts` covers the generated output users copy: worker URL in all three call snippets, the `[YOUR WORKER URL]` fallback, anon vs service-role placeholder, empty-name fallback and trimming, runtime default, and every `config.toml` field. ## Unverified copy The dialog steps and the `supabase workers ` subcommands come from the original POC spec, not from the shipped CLI. Same for "Dockerfile, Node.js and Deno supported" in the empty state — only Deno is confirmed end to end. Worth a check by someone who knows the CLI surface. feat: Add a config drift page in Studio (#48906)
## New Features - Initial work for showing configuration drift in Studio - This only works for Github-connected projects and it'll show a banner if the project state differs from the git-tracked `config.toml` - Currently behind a feature-flag `ConfigDrift`, enabled on local and staging. - There might be drift shown without changing any setting, this is work-in-progress. ## How to test 1. Connect a project to a Github repo 2. Resync the branch on `/dashboard/project/_/branches`. This will trigger deployment of the `config.toml` on your project 3. Change some settings (I recommend `dashboard/project/_/auth/providers` 4. A banner should appear on all project pages with a link ## Tests - Added coverage for configuration conversion, normalization, matching, drift detection, and unmanaged settings. |

fix(studio): keep region flags visible on light surfaces (#49517)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Studio interface fix. ## What is the current behavior? Region flags with light backgrounds, such as Japan, can disappear against light Studio surfaces. Flag rendering is also repeated across region selectors and infrastructure views. ## What is the new behavior? Region flags use a shared `RegionFlag` component with the existing small radius and a subtle 1px border. The treatment is applied consistently across project creation, replication, read replicas, infrastructure, and Edge Function observability. | Before | After | | --- | --- | | | | ## To test - Open the new project flow and inspect the selected region and region menu. Confirm light flags remain visible without changing size or aspect ratio. - Open Database Replication and inspect region flags in the diagram and destination form. - Open `/project/<ref>/settings/infrastructure` and inspect flags in the topology, map, and read replica details. - Open Edge Function observability and inspect the region filter options. ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **UI Improvements** * Standardized region flag displays across project creation, replication, infrastructure, read replica, and observability views. * Region flags now use consistent styling, rounded borders, and rendering throughout the Studio interface. * Improved visual consistency for selected regions, database nodes, tooltips, and region options. * Decorative flags in observability views are handled appropriately for assistive technologies. |

fix(studio): clean up onboarding returnTo paths (#49283)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Bug fix. Follow-up to #41041 and DEPR-318. ## What is the current behavior? Marketing "Start your project" links go to `/dashboard`, which redirects unauthenticated users to `/org` and sets `returnTo=/org`. That value survives when they switch from sign-in to sign-up, so email verification still lands on the org list instead of org creation. ## What is the new behavior? - Sign-in's **Sign up** link rewrites `returnTo=/org` (and `/organizations`) to `/new` - Docs mobile menu, www homepage/product CTAs, and solution page CTAs link to `/dashboard/sign-up` for guests - Signed-in visitors get the dashboard URL instead, so they never hit the sign-up form - Shared `DASHBOARD_SIGN_UP_URL` / `getDashboardCtaHref` helpers for www Stacked on #41041. ## To test Stacked on #41041. The studio preview below includes both PRs. www and docs have their own previews. ### Studio: sign-in → sign-up rewrite Using the [studio-staging preview](https://studio-staging-git-dnywh-fixonboarding-return-to-supabase.vercel.app/) from Vercel checks: 1. Open the preview while logged out. It should land on `/dashboard/sign-in?returnTo=%2Forg` 2. Click **Sign up**. Expect the URL to include `returnTo=%2Fnew` ### Optional: www CTAs Using the [www preview](https://zone-www-dot-com-git-dnywh-fixonboarding-return-to-supabase.vercel.app/): 3. Logged out: homepage, product, or solutions **Start your project** should go to `/dashboard/sign-up` 4. Logged in: the same CTAs should go to `/dashboard` (not sign-up) (thought this will be hard if not impossible to test on staging) ### Optional: docs CTAs Using the [docs preview](https://docs-git-dnywh-fixonboarding-return-to-supabase.vercel.app/): 5. On mobile nav while logged out, click **Start your project**. Expect `/dashboard/sign-up` ### Compare on supabase.green Optional. Just to show what happens currently on `master`: 6. Open **supabase.green** while logged out, then click **Sign up** from `/dashboard/sign-in?returnTo=%2Forg`. `returnTo` should stay as `/org` ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Start-project and sign-up links now direct visitors to registration while signed-in users continue to reach the dashboard. * Homepage, product, solution, and mobile navigation CTAs now provide consistent authentication-aware destinations. * Sign-up links preserve return destinations and existing navigation parameters. * **Bug Fixes** * Corrected mobile navigation and marketing CTA links that previously sent visitors to the dashboard root instead of the appropriate sign-up flow. |

fix(studio): send new signups to org creation directly (#41041)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Bug fix. Resolves DEPR-318. ## What is the current behavior? New users who confirm their email land on `/sign-in`, then `/organizations`, then get bounced to `/new` via a `useEffect`. Cancelling org creation with zero orgs sends them back to `/organizations`, which immediately redirects into `/new` again. ## What is the new behavior? - Signup email verification redirects to `/new` directly - `/organizations` with zero orgs shows the existing empty state instead of force-redirecting ## To test ### One-time setup Assuming you don’t already have a staging account with **zero** orgs: 1. On **supabase.green**, sign up with a fresh email and confirm it 2. Stop at org creation. Do **not** create an org ### On this PR Using the [studio-staging preview](https://studio-staging-git-dnywh-fixremove-org-redirect-supabase.vercel.app/) from Vercel checks: 4. Sign in on the preview with that account 5. Open `/dashboard/organizations`. Expect the **Create an organization** empty state, with no redirect to `/new` 6. Open `/dashboard/new`, click **Cancel**. Expect to land on `/organizations` and stay there ### Compare on supabase.green Optional. Just to show what happens currently on `master`: 7. Repeat steps 3–5 on **supabase.green**. `/organizations` should bounce to `/new`, and **Cancel** should send you back into org creation ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Bug Fixes** * Improved signup redirects by preserving valid destinations and relevant query parameters. * Added safer fallback behavior for missing, invalid, or unsupported destinations. * Improved handling of signup redirects provided in multiple formats. * Prevented automatic redirection from the organizations page when no organizations exist. * **Style** * Updated the organizations page title capitalization for consistency. |

fix(studio): require full authentication for the support form (#49318)
The support form was exempted from the highest AAL check (since the original MFA rollout in #16813) so that users stuck on the MFA challenge could still file a ticket. The platform API now rejects AAL1 sessions with `403 Insufficient AAL: MFA required`, so for those users the form is simply broken — it renders an error toast and the submit would fail too. This requires AAL2 on `/support/new`, so an AAL1 session gets redirected to the MFA challenge and returns to the form afterwards, and removes the links to the support form from the MFA screen. A dedicated flow for users who can't get past MFA to reach us is being worked on separately and should be out soon! Fixes FE-4218 ## Summary by CodeRabbit - **New Features** - Added an “Email support” action for multi-factor authentication issues, with a prefilled subject line. - Provided clearer guidance when authentication factors cannot be retrieved. - **Bug Fixes** - Improved authentication error handling based on the session’s assurance level. - Reduced confusing permission and error messages for lower-assurance sessions. - Updated support page access to use standard authentication behavior for a more consistent sign-in experience. |

chore(studio): render Sign in with ChatGPT unconditionally (#49375)
_Requested by **Ivan Vasilov** · [Slack thread](https://supabase.slack.com/archives/C0161K73J1J/p1787296019236949?thread_ts=1787296019.236949&cid=C0161K73J1J)_ ## I have read the [CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) file. YES ## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Chore / feature-flag cleanup. ## What is the current behavior? The "Sign in with ChatGPT" button on `/sign-in` and `/sign-up` sits behind three gates in `useEnabledIdentityProviders`: 1. the static `dashboard_auth:sign_in_with_chatgpt` feature flag, AND 2. either the `ShowSignInWithChatGptButton` ConfigCat flag, OR 3. the `SIGN_IN_CHATGPT_ENABLED` (`siwc-enabled`) localStorage opt-in, flipped by a shareable `?siwc-enabled=1` link via `useSiwcQueryParamOptIn`. The ConfigCat flag resolves client-side, so on a fresh load the button is absent for the first render and appears once the flag comes back. That pushes the rest of the sign-in options down and produces a visible layout shift on the sign-in page. ## What is the new behavior? ChatGPT is gated only by its static `dashboard_auth:sign_in_with_chatgpt` feature flag, which is resolved synchronously from `enabled-features.json`. The button renders on the first paint, with no async re-layout. Removed: - the `useFlag('ShowSignInWithChatGptButton')` call and the `chatgptLocalStorageEnabled || chatGptConfigCatFlagEnabled` branch in `apps/studio/hooks/misc/useEnabledIdentityProviders.ts` - `LOCAL_STORAGE_KEYS.SIGN_IN_CHATGPT_ENABLED` and its `LOCAL_STORAGE_KEYS_ALLOWLIST` entry in `packages/common/constants/local-storage.ts` - `apps/studio/hooks/misc/useSiwcQueryParamOptIn.ts` and its callers in `pages/sign-in.tsx` / `pages/sign-up.tsx` — its only job was writing that localStorage flag - the tests that covered the two removed rollout gates The static `dashboard_auth:sign_in_with_chatgpt` kill switch is untouched. ## Additional context The `ShowSignInWithChatGptButton` ConfigCat flag is reported as 100% enabled (per Joshen Lim in the linked thread). The repo contains no default value, allowlist, or env gate for it — the live value lives only in ConfigCat, so that number is not verifiable from here. Once this merges the flag is unreferenced and should be **archived in ConfigCat by a human**; nothing in ConfigCat was changed as part of this PR. Verification notes: `packages/common` typechecks clean (`tsc --noEmit`) and all touched files pass the repo's Prettier config. Studio's `typecheck`, `lint`, and `vitest` could not be run here — `pnpm install` fails in this environment because `npm.jsr.io` (needed for studio's `@std/path` dependency) is not reachable through the network allowlist, so `apps/studio/node_modules` was never installed. CI should be treated as the first real run of those checks. --- _Generated by [Claude Code](https://claude.ai/code/session_01M21SPvwf6FSthomX4Lj3ZC)_ Co-authored-by: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> |

feat(studio): show read replicas moved notice on Replication (#49355)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Feature / communication. Resolves [PIPE-1008](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/PIPE-1008/communicate-read-replica-move-changelog-leftover-ui-docs). ## What is the current behavior? Database → Replication is now Pipelines-only. The “Read replicas have moved” callout only appears inside the New destination sheet, so users who land on Replication looking for replicas can miss it. Getting-started already points create at Infrastructure but does not say the management surface moved. ## What is the new behavior? Replication shows the moved callout at the top of the page (flag-gated), with a _Go to Infrastructure_ CTA. The same callout remains in the destination-type sheet. Getting-started adds a short note that management moved from Replication to Infrastructure. feat(studio): point replica deep links at Infrastructure and recommend compute (#48921)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Feature. Stack 5 of 5 (tip) for [PIPE-1007](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/PIPE-1007/move-read-replicas-out-of-replication-into-infrastructure). ## What is the current behavior? Selectors still open Replication with `destinationType=Read+Replica`. Compute eligibility actions leave the add-replica flow without carrying a recommended size into the Infrastructure form. ## What is the new behavior? DatabaseSelector and the SQL submenu open Infrastructure `?addReplica=true`. Change to Small/XL compute waits for the sheet to close, pre-selects that size, then focuses and scrolls the Infrastructure form to Compute without shifting the page footer. ## Additional context Last stack PR. [#49043](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49043) has merged. Please review, but do not merge until 2→4 are also approved. Then merge [#49044](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49044) → [#49045](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49045) → [#49046](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49046) → this PR in succession, and drop the `do-not-merge` labels. Update the read replicas getting-started doc in the same sitting so it points only at Infrastructure (it currently also links Database → Replication). Remaining stack: [#49044](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49044) → [#49045](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49045) → [#49046](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49046) → this PR ## To test `infrastructure:read_replicas` is an enabled-feature, on by default. There is no Feature Preview or ConfigCat switch. You should already see the Infrastructure Read replicas section. If you do not, your profile lists `infrastructure:read_replicas` in `disabled_features`. 1. [Infrastructure](https://studio-staging-git-dnywh-choreread-replicas-in-829a4b-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/project/_/settings/infrastructure): topology, Read replicas, Scaling. 2. Add read replica. If blocked on compute, Change to Small compute: sheet closes, Small is selected and focused, the price footer is dirty, and no blank page gap appears. 3. From the SQL editor database selector, Add replica should open Infrastructure, not Replication. |

feat(studio): remove read replicas from Replication (#49046)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Feature. Stack 4 of 5 for [PIPE-1007](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/PIPE-1007/move-read-replicas-out-of-replication-into-infrastructure). Contributes to PIPE-1008. ## What is the current behavior? Database / Replication lists, creates, and diagrams read replicas alongside pipelines. ## What is the new behavior? Replication is pipelines-only. No replica rows, type, or diagram nodes. `?destinationType=Read+Replica` redirects to Infrastructure. A short callout points create-mode users at the new home. ## Additional context Please review, but do not merge until [#48921](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/48921) is ready to follow immediately. The flag is already on, so this PR is the user-facing cutover off Replication. ## To test `infrastructure:read_replicas` is an enabled-feature, on by default. There is no Feature Preview or ConfigCat switch. You should already see the Infrastructure Read replicas section. If you do not, your profile lists `infrastructure:read_replicas` in `disabled_features`. You should land on Infrastructure with the add-replica sheet, not a replica destination type. The Replication page itself should be pipelines-only. ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added guidance directing users to Infrastructure to create read replicas. * Added automatic redirection for legacy read-replica links. * **Updates** * Replication destinations now focus exclusively on external analytics and pipeline destinations. * Updated destination selection, empty states, descriptions, and diagrams to reflect the streamlined experience. * Removed read replicas from the replication destination list and related creation flow. --------- Co-authored-by: Jeremias Menichelli <jmenichelli@gmail.com> |

feat(studio): add Infrastructure replica detail route and redirects (#49045)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Feature. Stack 3 of 5 for [PIPE-1007](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/PIPE-1007/move-read-replicas-out-of-replication-into-infrastructure). ## What is the current behavior? Replica detail lives at `/database/replication/replica/:id`. ## What is the new behavior? Detail moves to `/settings/infrastructure/replica/:id`. Old URLs redirect. List and diagram View/Manage replica links follow. ## Additional context Stacked on [#49044](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49044). Please review, but do not merge. Merge 2→5 in succession once they are all reviewed, so users never sit on a split create/list vs detail path. Replication still lists and creates replicas until [#49046](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49046). ## To test `infrastructure:read_replicas` is an enabled-feature, on by default. There is no Feature Preview or ConfigCat switch. You should already see the Infrastructure Read replicas section. If you do not, your profile lists `infrastructure:read_replicas` in `disabled_features`. From [Infrastructure](https://studio-staging-git-danny-pipe-1007-03-detail-redirects-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/project/_/settings/infrastructure), open View replica on a row. Confirm you land on `/settings/infrastructure/replica/:id`. If you have an old bookmark, `/database/replication/replica/:id` should redirect there. ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added read replica management to Infrastructure settings, including replica creation, status monitoring, details, restart, and removal actions. * Added eligibility guidance and estimated pricing details during replica setup. * Added support for topology and replica information within infrastructure configuration. * **Improvements** * Legacy database replication links now permanently redirect to the corresponding Infrastructure pages. * Added clearer empty, loading, error, and transition states for read replica management. * **Tests** * Expanded coverage for replica navigation, redirects, eligibility warnings, and empty states. |

feat(studio): add read replicas section on Infrastructure (#49044)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Feature. Stack 2 of 5 for [PIPE-1007](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/PIPE-1007/move-read-replicas-out-of-replication-into-infrastructure). ## What is the current behavior? Settings / Infrastructure only covers compute and disk. ## What is the new behavior? Adds topology, a Read replicas list, and the add-replica sheet on Infrastructure. Still gated on `infrastructure:read_replicas`. | Before | After | | --- | --- | | | | ## Additional context [#49043](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49043) is merged. This PR targets `master`. Please review, but do not merge. `infrastructure:read_replicas` is already on, so merging this alone would show replicas on both Infrastructure and Replication. Merge 2→5 ([#49045](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49045), [#49046](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49046), [#48921](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/48921)) in succession once they are all reviewed. Replica detail still uses the old Replication URL until #49045. ## To test `infrastructure:read_replicas` is an enabled-feature, on by default in `enabled-features.json`. There is no Feature Preview or ConfigCat switch. On this preview you should already see it: Settings → Infrastructure shows topology and a Read replicas section. If those are missing, your profile lists `infrastructure:read_replicas` in `disabled_features` (from `/platform/profile`), and you cannot flip it in the UI. Open [Settings / Infrastructure](https://studio-staging-git-danny-pipe-1007-02-infra-section-supabase.vercel.app/dashboard/project/_/settings/infrastructure). Confirm the topology, Read replicas section, and Add read replica sheet. Replication should still list replicas too. ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added infrastructure topology visibility to project infrastructure settings. * Added read replica management, including status monitoring, empty states, creation flow, documentation access, and discard-change confirmation. * Infrastructure settings now include read replicas alongside compute and disk configuration. * Added flexible placement for supplemental disk overview and scaling content. * **Bug Fixes** * Simplified project configuration rendering for more reliable display. * **Tests** * Added coverage for enabled and disabled read replica states. |

fix(studio): auto-retry notebook updates on stale/invalid conflicts (#49323)
## Summary
- **Removed dead client-side refresh UI** in
`NotebookProposalRenderer.tsx` and its test — the diff preview is always
computed from live data, so the check was redundant with the tool's
server-side re-validation
- **Added typed `NotebookToolError`** in `notebook-tools.ts` with
structured metadata (`{ exposeToAssistant: boolean }`) validated by a
zod schema with a literal discriminant tag (`tag:
'notebook_tool_error'`) — tracks the two retryable failures: staleness
conflict and invalid operations (unknown cell id)
- **Encoded errors in `generate-v4.ts` onError** — the one place in the
pipeline that holds the live `Error` before it becomes a string in the
persisted message
- **Extracted and fixed message history filter** into new
`generate-assistant-response.utils.ts` — any tool-error whose
`errorText` decodes against the `NotebookToolError` schema is let
through (with `errorText` rewritten to plain prose so the model sees the
message, not JSON), while other errors stay filtered as before
Net effect: the assistant detects the specific, actionable rejection
reason and retries on its own with no dead button or human intervention
needed.
## Test plan
- Existing unit tests in `NotebookProposalRenderer.test.tsx` pass (dead
button test removed)
- New unit tests in `notebook-tools.test.ts` cover encode/decode
round-trips and error discrimination
- New unit tests in `generate-assistant-response.utils.test.ts` cover
message history filtering with all error states
- `pnpm typecheck` is clean
- `pnpm --filter studio run lint:ratchet` passes (no new ESLint
warnings)

## Summary by CodeRabbit
* **New Features**
* Notebook update errors now provide clearer, structured explanations to
the AI assistant.
* Assistant responses preserve relevant notebook error details while
filtering invalid or temporary tool states.
* **Bug Fixes**
* Improved handling of stale notebook revisions and invalid notebook
update operations.
* Notebook proposal rendering proceeds without an unnecessary refresh
step.
* **Tests**
* Expanded coverage for notebook errors, message filtering,
serialization, and error handling.

feat(studio): workers list behind the workers flag (FE-4188) (#49193)
## What
The Workers list page at `/project/[ref]/workers`, behind
`useFlag('workers')`. Reads `GET /v2/projects/{ref}/workers`.
- Sidebar and command-menu entries, both hidden when the flag is off
- Name search, state and access filters, pagination
- Read-only
Gating, in order: flag off redirects to the project home; a 404 from the
API means the project is outside the alpha allow-list ("not enabled for
this project"); a 403 means the caller lacks the permission
(`NoPermission`); anything else is an `AlertError`.
`parseWorker` in `data/workers/workers.utils.ts` is the only place the
API shape becomes the view model. It validates with zod, so a drifted
response fails the query instead of half-rendering a row.
## How to test
Only on the **Mockamaster** project in staging — it is the one project
in the alpha allow-list, and standing a worker up anywhere else is
involved right now.
1. Staging dashboard → Mockamaster → **Compute** in the sidebar
2. Expect the `dashboard-test` worker: state `Active`, runtime Deno,
private, US West, 2 GB · 1 vCPU · 1 inst
3. Open any other project's `/workers` URL → "Compute is not enabled for
this project"
4. Turn the `workers` flag off → the sidebar entry disappears and the
URL redirects to the project home
Closes FE-4188

fix(studio): disambiguate query cancel telemetry and gate live-mode hotkey (#49137)
_Requested by **Pam Chia** · [Slack thread](https://supabase.slack.com/archives/C076KTY11DF/p1786930264662829?thread_ts=1786930264.662829&cid=C076KTY11DF)_ ## I have read the [CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) file. YES ## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Bug fix. Two telemetry correctness fixes in the Database Connections feature preview. No visual changes, no new events. Linear: [GROWTH-1107](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/GROWTH-1107/fix-database-connections-feature-preview-banner-dead-end-plus) ## What is the current behavior? ### 1. `query_cancel_button_clicked` cannot tell its two surfaces apart "Cancel query" is reachable from two places on `/observability/connections`. One is the three-dot dropdown menu on an activity row. The other is inside the "Confirm to terminate this session?" dialog, which offers "Cancel query" alongside "Terminate" when the session is running a query. **Before:** both buttons fire `query_cancel_button_clicked` with an identical payload (`activityState`, `isBlocking`). In analysis the two are one undifferentiated number, so there is no way to see whether people cancel straight from the row or only after opening the terminate dialog and reading the "Cancelling it may solve the problem without closing the connection" warning. That warning is the main nudge away from terminating, and today we cannot measure whether it lands. ### 2. The live-mode hotkey fires telemetry for users who do not have the feature **Before:** the Mod+J live-mode shortcut is registered whenever the page mounts, regardless of whether the Database Connections feature preview is enabled. The live badge, the toggle button and the activity query are all gated on the feature, so a user without it can press Mod+J, emit `database_connections_live_mode_clicked`, and see nothing change. Those events inflate the metric with interactions that had no effect. ## What is the new behavior? ### 1. `query_cancel_button_clicked` carries an `origin` **After:** the event reports which surface it came from, so the two flows can be split in analysis. Nothing changes for the user. `QueryCancelButtonClickedEvent` in `packages/common/telemetry-constants.ts` gains a required `origin: 'dropdown_menu' | 'terminate_dialog'` property, following the shape already used by `index_advisor_enable_button_clicked` (`origin: 'banner' | 'dialog'`). Values are snake_case to match the dominant convention among the existing `origin` unions in that file. In `ActivityRow.tsx` the shared `onCancelQuery` handler now takes the origin as an argument and each of the two call sites passes its own value. Because `track()` is strictly typed per action, the required property is enforced at compile time rather than by convention. ### 2. The live-mode hotkey is gated on the feature **After:** Mod+J only does something, and only reports something, for users who actually have Database Connections enabled. Everyone else is unaffected, as before. `useShortcut` already accepts an `enabled` option that disables the hotkey and hides the command-menu entry. The registration in `pages/project/[ref]/observability/connections.tsx` now passes `enabled: isDatabaseConnectionsEnabled`, reusing the value already read from `useIsDatabaseConnectionsEnabled()` and already used to gate the activity query and the visible controls on the same page. ## Additional context **Scope was reduced from the original plan.** GROWTH-1107 originally covered four items. #49132 rewrote the Database Connections gating model and superseded three of them, so only the two above remain: - The feature preview banner is no longer flag-gated, so there is nothing to gate on `topForPostgres`. - `isEnabled` on `database_connections_banner_cta_button_clicked` is now a real variable rather than a constant, since it is true on the new "Explore Database Connections" variant. It stays as is. - The wrong-feature fallback in the feature preview modal no longer triggers for this preview. Nothing in that area is touched here. GROWTH-1107 has been updated to reflect the reduced scope. **Validation** (run locally): - `tsc --noEmit` in `packages/common` and in `apps/studio`. Studio reports the same two pre-existing errors before and after this change and none in the changed files. - `eslint` on both changed studio files: clean. `lint:ratchet`: passes. - `vitest --run components/interfaces/Observability/DatabaseConnections`: 36 passed. - Prettier check on all three files: clean. ## To test Verified in a real browser on the studio-staging Vercel preview, checking telemetry at the wire level (network inspection of `POST /platform/telemetry/event`). Checks derived from the diff, covering both fixes and their negative cases. - [x] Mod+J with the Database Connections feature preview off: no `database_connections_live_mode_clicked` request fired and no UI change; the page stays on the enable-preview gate screen - [x] Mod+J with the preview on: the live badge visibly toggles and exactly one event fires per press (`newState: "disabled"` on the first press since live mode starts on by default, then `"enabled"` on the second) - [x] "Cancel query" from the activity row dropdown on an active `pg_sleep(120)` session: `query_cancel_button_clicked` with `custom_properties: {"activityState":"active","isBlocking":false,"origin":"dropdown_menu"}` - [x] "Cancel query" inside the "Confirm to terminate this session?" dialog: `query_cancel_button_clicked` with `custom_properties: {"activityState":"active","isBlocking":false,"origin":"terminate_dialog"}` Opening the terminate dialog in the last check also fired `session_terminate_button_clicked`, correctly distinct from the cancel event. No new console errors versus the page-load baseline across all four checks. Co-authored-by: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com> |

chore(studio): upgrade AI SDK to v7 (#49167)
## I have read the [CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) file. YES ## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Chore / dependency upgrade. ## What is the current behavior? Studio is on AI SDK 6 (`ai` ^6.0.174, `@ai-sdk/react` ^3). Tool approvals still use the v6 `needsApproval` flag on individual tools. ## What is the new behavior? Upgrades Studio to AI SDK 7 (`ai` 7.0.59) and the matching `@ai-sdk/*` packages. Aligns call sites with v7 names (`instructions`, `isStepCount`, `onEnd`, `ToolExecutionOptions`). This is the bottom of stack #49171. Later layers add a shared Confirm card and AssistantQueryCell. ## Additional context - Stack: #49167 → #49168 → #49169 → #49170 - `needsApproval` on tools is left as-is in this PR so the upgrade can land independently. A follow-up can move those gates to `streamText({ toolApproval })` and `experimental_toolApprovalSecret`. - Independent of the notebook preview stack ([#49112](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49112), [#49159](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/49159)), which should merge first before we wrap notebook proposals in Confirm. ## Test plan - [ ] `pnpm --filter studio test` for `lib/ai/tools/*` and assistant generate path - [ ] Assistant chat still streams and tool-approval SQL / Edge Function still pause for confirm - [ ] Evals still run with mock tools (`needsApproval: false` overrides) ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **Improvements** * Updated AI-powered chat, onboarding, SQL, code completion, and recipe generation workflows for more reliable responses. * Streaming responses now better preserve reasoning and source information where available. * Improved tool privacy notices while preserving dynamically generated tool descriptions. * Refined AI response handling, including step limits and structured policy results. * **Bug Fixes** * Improved compatibility across AI-powered tool interactions and execution scenarios. |

fix(studio): slightly round split-button corners on focus (#49129)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? UI polish for split buttons (primary action + dropdown chevron). Follow-up to #49055. ## What is the current behavior? The focus ring sits above the neighbouring half, but the inner edge stays square, so the ring has two sharp corners at the join. ## What is the new behavior? fix(studio): clarify MFA backup authenticator copy (#49083)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Bug fix (copy and layout) ## What is the current behavior? After setting up a single MFA factor, Account > Security warns you to add a "backup sign-in method". That reads like another account identity (email / Google / SSO), not a second authenticator app. The add action also sits at the bottom of the MFA card, so the callout has no nearby control. Fixes [FE-4171](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/FE-4171/clarify-backup-sign-in-method-after-mfa-setup) ## What is the new behavior? The MFA block is a `PageSection` with **Add app** in the aside. When one factor is configured, a danger callout above the card tells you to add a backup authenticator app, with **Add another app** opening the same modal. | Before | After | | --- | --- | | | | ## To test 1. Open **Account > Security** (`/account/security`). 2. **0 apps:** empty card, **Add app** in the section aside. Click it. The add-factor modal should open. 3. **1 app:** danger callout under the section title. Copy should mention a backup authenticator app, not a sign-in method. **Add another app** and **Add app** should both open the same modal. 4. **2 apps:** callout and add buttons gone. Remove still works. Add or remove an authenticator app on that page to hit each state. If you already have one factor, step 3 is the important check. ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Improved the multi-factor authentication interface with clearer sections, cards, and guidance. * Added an empty state when no authenticator apps are configured. * Added a warning when only one authenticator remains to help prevent account lockout. * Limited authenticator app setup to two configured factors. * **Bug Fixes** * Improved loading and error-state presentation for authentication factor management. * Simplified the security page to provide a more consistent MFA experience. |

feat: add routed assistant chat tabs to Explorer (#49031)
## Summary - add routed Explorer chat pages backed by explicit assistant chat IDs - wait for persisted assistant state before creating chats so cold-load creation is not overwritten - register chat tabs and keep tab labels, navigation, close behavior, and missing-chat cleanup in sync - create and branch Explorer chats without changing the assistant sidebar selection - support both Next.js and TanStack Router paths This is PR 2 of 3 and is stacked on #48973. Review and merge #48973 first. The Explorer discovery, toolbar, and cross-surface entry points follow in #49032. This PR focuses purely on setting up chat tab types, routes and assistant conversation. ## To Test - Create a new assistant chat via the assistant sidebar, send a message etc - Copy the chat id - Visit /explorer/chat/[id] - Verify chat shows up, you can send more messages, chat is synced across tab and sidebar - Close the tab ## Test plan - `mise exec node@22 -- pnpm --dir apps/studio exec tsc --noEmit` - focused Vitest suite: 4 files / 30 tests covering assistant hydration, chat creation, routed chat rendering, and tab lifecycle - ESLint on changed TypeScript files - Prettier check on changed source files ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added Explorer chat pages with support for opening, selecting, and branching chats. * Added chat tabs, stable navigation, chat icons, and fallback behavior when tabs are closed. * Added chat creation that waits for assistant state to finish loading. * **Bug Fixes** * Removed tabs for deleted or unavailable chats. * Improved editor tab navigation and history clearing behavior. * **Tests** * Added coverage for chat routing, tab management, chat creation, and assistant-state loading. --------- Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

feat(studio): add Explorer query tabs (#49038)
## Stack Depends on #49041. Followed by #49028. ## Summary - add a dedicated ad-hoc query tab type and route under Explorer - connect query tabs to the shared `QueryEditor` through a `QueryTab` lifecycle adapter - add local query draft/result state and restore query tabs from their routes - confirm before closing populated local-only drafts and clean up their state on close ## To test 1. Open Explorer, select **Run SQL**, enter `select 1`, and run the query. 2. Rename the query, reload the page, then close the tab and confirm the discard prompt appears. ## Why Explorer needs a lightweight place to run SQL without creating a snippet. This layer adds the query-tab lifecycle on top of the shared editor foundation. ## Impact Queries in this layer run against the selected project's primary database. Drafts are local to the browser and are discarded when their tabs are closed. ## Validation - fresh non-incremental Studio TypeScript check - 22 focused tests across query draft state, tab state, and notebook tab registration ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added support for creating, opening, editing, and running SQL queries in Explorer. * Added project-scoped persistence for query drafts and results. * Added dedicated query routes, query icons, and query tabs. * Added unsaved-changes warnings when closing query tabs. * Added a pinned Explorer Home tab and “New query” option. * Improved notebook tab registration and editor tab organization. * **Bug Fixes** * Improved tab navigation, closing behavior, and layout. * **Tests** * Added coverage for query persistence, cleanup, restoration, and tab navigation. --------- Co-authored-by: Joshen Lim <joshenlimek@gmail.com> |

fix(studio): focus state for buttons with dropdown (#49055)
## I have read the [CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) file. YES ## What kind of change does this PR introduce? We've quite a few instances where some buttons have a dropdown appendage. The focus state for these were broken as well as visually regarding the separator. Add empty state for database connections page if preview not enabled (#48927)
## Context Just adds an empty state for the database connections page if the feature preview isn't enabled. Users can technically still land on the /connections page irregardless and the docs changes [here](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/48920) references this page too - so this just adds an empty state to allow users to enable the feature preview ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added a feature preview experience for Database Connections. * Users with the preview enabled can view connection activity, live updates, refreshed data, and related controls. * Users without access see a preview badge, an empty state, and an option to enable the preview. * The live status indicator is hidden when the preview is inactive. |

feat(studio): create_notebook AI tool (#48938)
## Summary - Adds a `create_notebook` AI assistant tool (`needsApproval: true`) that lets the assistant create a new notebook after explicit user approval. - Cell SQL is promoted from untrusted to safe via `acceptUntrustedSql`/`acceptUntrustedLogsSql` inside `execute`, using the approval gate as the confirming user gesture (same pattern as `execute_sql`). - Input is validated against the existing agent-writable notebook schema, which rejects any agent-supplied cell `id` at the schema level. - Threads an optional auth-headers param through `upsertContent`/`createNotebook`/`updateNotebook` so the tool can pass its own bearer token server-side. - Registers the tool in the tool-filter (`SCHEMA` category, alongside `list_notebooks`/`get_notebook`) and adds a `## Notebooks` prompt section guiding the assistant on when to use `create_notebook` vs. one-off `execute_sql`. Resolves FE-4082 ## Test plan - [x] `notebook-tools.test.ts` covers: tool registration, `needsApproval`, cell-id rejection, valid input, PUT body shape, and the returned id — all passing - [x] Typecheck clean - [x] Lint clean (no new warnings) ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added AI-assisted notebook creation for saving multi-step investigations. * Added support for database and log SQL cells in newly created notebooks. * Notebook creation requires approval before saving and returns the notebook’s name and identifier. * Added support for custom request headers during notebook and content operations. * Added guidance for choosing between one-time SQL execution and reusable notebooks when Explorer is enabled. * **Improvements** * Improved validation and normalization of notebook content before saving. |

feat(studio): notebook read tools (#48908)
## Summary - Adds `list_notebooks` (cursor-paginated) and `get_notebook` AI tools in `lib/ai/tools/notebook-tools.ts`, modeled directly on `report-tools.ts`: server-side `getContent`/`getNotebook` with the `authorization` header forwarded, zod-validated input. - `get_notebook` resolves every cell and exposes `unchecked_sql` as a plain `sql` field for the agent to read — display only, per the `safe-sql-execution` skill; nothing here executes SQL. - Registers both tools in `lib/ai/tools/index.ts` (same platform branch as reports) and in `lib/ai/tool-filter.ts`'s `toolSetValidationSchema` + `TOOL_CATEGORY_MAP` (`SCHEMA` tier). - Adds an optional `headers` param to `content-infinite-query.ts`'s `getContent`, mirroring the sibling `content-query.ts`, so the cursor-paginated fetch can carry the `Authorization` header from a server context. - New tools are behind the Explorer feature flag. Stacked on #48907 (1.4 — notebook query and mutation hooks), per the Notebooks implementation plan (stack 2.1). Resolves FE-4081 Resolves FE-4080 ## Test plan - [x] `pnpm exec tsc --noEmit` — no new errors - [x] `pnpm exec vitest run lib/ai/tools/notebook-tools.test.ts lib/ai/tools/index.test.ts lib/ai/tools/report-tools.test.ts data/content/notebooks` — 36/36 passing - [x] `pnpm --filter studio run lint` — no new warnings - [x] `pnpm exec prettier --check` on changed files — clean ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added AI tools to list project notebooks with pagination. * Added AI support for retrieving notebook markdown and resolved SQL cell content. * Notebook tools now respect project and authorization context. * Notebook features are available only when Explorer access is enabled. * Content requests can forward custom request headers. * **Tests** * Added coverage for notebook tools, Explorer access, feature flags, authorization, pagination, and error handling. |

Resolve AI opt-in and tracing settings server-side (#48855)
The AI endpoints resolved organization and project settings independently and applied them together without confirming they belonged to the same pairing. Consolidates both into a single `getAIDetails` that reconciles them and falls back to the most restrictive posture when unconfirmed, and applies the HIPAA sensitivity gate to the opt-in level, which previously only existed on the client. Fixes FE-4110 ## Summary by CodeRabbit - **New Features** - Consolidated AI access details across organization and project settings. - AI functionality now validates project ownership and disables access for mismatched or HIPAA-sensitive projects. - AI responses include plan, region, opt-in status, sensitivity, authorization, and advanced model access information. - **Bug Fixes** - Improved fail-closed behavior when project or organization data is missing or inconsistent. - Updated AI generation, feedback, rate, and policy flows to consistently apply consolidated access settings. |

feat(studio): notebook content at the API boundary (#48815)
## Summary Stacked on #48813 (1.2: notebook content schema). Part of [FE-4109](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/FE-4109/notebooks-data-model) — see that issue for the rest of the notebooks data-model stack. - Teach `content-remap.ts`'s wire↔domain dispatcher about the `notebook` content type, branding each cell's `sql` per `_tag` via the notebook schemas added in 1.2 (parses through `notebookDomainSchema` on the way in, unbrands per cell on the way out). - Add `{ type: 'notebook'; content: Notebooks.Content }` to the `Content` union in `content-query.ts`, plus a `ContentOfType<T>` helper for narrowing it. - Fix the resulting narrowing fallout at call sites that assumed `Content` only ever meant `sql`/`report`/`log_sql`: two generated-query-param casts, and four report/logs call sites now narrowed via `ContentOfType<'report'>` / `ContentOfType<'log_sql'>`. ## Test plan - [x] `pnpm --filter studio vitest run data/content/` — 35 tests pass, including new notebook coverage in `content-remap.test.ts` (per-cell brand separation, missing-field throw, remap↔unmap round-trip) - [x] `pnpm typecheck` — clean (pre-existing unrelated `ui-patterns` error aside) - [x] `pnpm --filter studio lint` — no new warnings/errors on changed files - [x] `pnpm format` — clean --------- Co-authored-by: Joshen Lim <joshenlimek@gmail.com> |

feat(studio): add legacy token mode to scoped pat creation flow (#48844)
## I have read the [CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) file. YES ## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Replaces the scoped form's inline account-level access mode with a proper legacy-token escape hatch: "Create legacy token" switches the sheet to the classic form (name + expiry only) and creates through the legacy endpoint, skipping the two-step review. Mirrors the mode-switch links in both directions and restores the "Generate token for experimental API" split-button dropdown, extracted into a shared ExperimentalTokenDropdown. Ported from origin/w3b6x9/scoped-pat-ui-rework, excluding its expiry handling (shipped in #48811) and MCP-unsupported warnings (follow-up PR). ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added support for creating classic account-wide access tokens alongside scoped tokens. * Added an experimental token dropdown for quick token creation. * Added links to switch between scoped and legacy token creation flows. * Classic token creation now provides dedicated warnings and simplified access settings. * **Improvements** * Updated token access messaging, descriptions, and labels for clarity. * **Tests** * Expanded coverage for token creation, navigation, validation, and clipboard behavior. --------- Co-authored-by: Claude Sonnet 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

let inline error callers own mutation failures (#48640)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Code clean-up following #48470, #48471, #48472, #48473, and #48474. ## What is the current behavior? Mutation hooks provide fallback error toasts, so callers that already render errors inline must suppress those toasts with empty `onError` handlers. ## What is the new behavior? The affected callers own their error presentation. Inline interstitial errors remain unchanged, API authorisation retains its state-reset handlers, and Project Claim retains its combined caller-owned toast. ## To test There is no useful before-and-after visual check for this PR: the rendered error states should be identical on `master` and this branch. The change only removes the default-toast and no-op-handler pair underneath the UI. The existing [Organisation Invite](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/48470), [API authorisation, AWS Marketplace](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/48471), and [Stripe Projects](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/48472) failure tests cover the inline errors and confirm that no duplicate toast appears. |

recover failed Vercel deploy connections (#48474)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Bug fix. ## What is the current behavior? A failed Vercel connection after project creation is only logged, leaving the project-creation screen in its loading state. ## What is the new behavior? The flow preserves the created project and shows the connection error with retry and open-project actions in the standard project-creation footer. Project-creation failures remain ordinary inline form errors. Connection failures are owned by this flow without a duplicate toast or a no-op error handler. | Before | After | | --- | --- | | | | ## To test ### Before on master 1. Switch to `master`. 2. With local Studio running and while signed in, open an organisation you can access. Copy its slug from `http://localhost:8082/org/<YOUR_ORG_SLUG>`. 3. Open `apps/studio/components/interfaces/ProjectCreation/ProjectCreationForm.tsx`. 4. Find `isSuccessNewProject={isSuccessNewProject}` in the `ProjectCreationFooter` props and temporarily change it to: ```tsx isSuccessNewProject={true} ``` 5. Replace `<YOUR_ORG_SLUG>` in this URL with the slug from step 2, then open it: `http://localhost:8082/integrations/vercel/<YOUR_ORG_SLUG>/deploy-button/new-project`. 6. Confirm **Create new project** remains in its loading state and there is no error, retry action, or route to the created project. This represents the current stuck state. 7. Revert the temporary edit before switching branches. ### After on this branch 1. Switch to `dnywh/vercel-deploy-recovery`. 2. With local Studio running and while signed in, open an organisation you can access. Copy its slug from `http://localhost:8082/org/<YOUR_ORG_SLUG>`. 3. Open `apps/studio/pages/integrations/vercel/[slug]/deploy-button/new-project.tsx`. 4. Find the conditional beginning with `newProjectRef === undefined` inside `InterstitialLayout`. 5. Replace that whole conditional with: ```tsx <VercelConnectionError projectRef="abcdefghijklmnopqrst" message="Connection request failed" onRetry={() => undefined} /> ``` 6. Replace `<YOUR_ORG_SLUG>` in this URL with the slug from step 2, then open it: `http://localhost:8082/integrations/vercel/<YOUR_ORG_SLUG>/deploy-button/new-project`. 7. Confirm the admonition says **Unable to connect to Vercel** and **Your Supabase project was still created. Error: Connection request failed**. 8. Confirm **Open project** and **Retry connection** appear as compact, right-aligned footer buttons. The retry action is intentionally inert in this visual-only mock, and no project or Vercel connection is created. 9. Revert the temporary edit. ## Additional context Follows #48473. The consistency follow-up #48640 is stacked on this PR. ## Summary by CodeRabbit - **New Features** - Added inline error messages to project creation forms for integration, API, and validation failures. - Added clear Vercel connection states, including waiting, connecting, success, and error screens. - Added retry actions and links to open successfully created projects. - **Bug Fixes** - Improved error handling so Vercel connection issues remain visible in context instead of appearing only as notifications. - **Tests** - Added coverage for partial-success messaging, project links, and retry behavior. --------- Co-authored-by: Joshen Lim <joshenlimek@gmail.com> |

feat: migrate Edge Functions report to ClickHouse OTEL logs (#48756)
## Problem
The Edge Functions report (`observability/edge-functions`) only queries
BigQuery. As part of the broader Reports→ClickHouse OTEL migration
(DEBUG-73), we need each report migrated one at a time behind the
`otelReports` flag.
## Fix
Adds a ClickHouse OTEL SQL variant (`METRIC_SQL_OTEL`) for the 4 Edge
Functions metrics (TotalInvocations, ExecutionStatusCodes,
InvocationsByRegion, ExecutionTime), querying the unified `logs` table
filtered to `source = 'function_edge_logs'`, with fields read from
`log_attributes` (`function_id`, `response.status_code`,
`response.headers.x_sb_edge_region`, `execution_time_ms`) — the same
mapping already used by `edge-functions-last-hour-stats-query.ts`.
`edgeFunctionReports()` now takes a `useOtel` flag that picks between
the BQ and OTEL query sets and forwards it to `fetchLogs`. The page
wires this up via `useFlag('otelReports')`, matching the pattern used
for the Auth report. No behavior change while the flag is off — report
still fetches from BigQuery.
Also removed two pieces of dead code spotted in `report.utils.ts` while
touching it: the unused `useEdgeFnIdToName` hook and a
`STATUS_CODE_COLORS` map that was an exact duplicate of
`REPORT_STATUS_CODE_COLORS` (the one actually imported elsewhere).
This PR is standalone — no dependency on the in-flight Auth report OTEL
stack.
## How to test
- `pnpm vitest run data/reports/v2/edge-functions.config.otel.test.ts` —
9 new tests covering the OTEL SQL shape (single logs table,
unix-microsecond timestamp bucketing, field mapping, filters).
- `pnpm vitest run data/reports` and `pnpm vitest run
data/edge-functions components/interfaces/Reports` — existing suites (46
+ 54 tests) still pass, confirming no regression to the BQ path.
- Manually: with `otelReports` flag enabled, visit a project's Edge
Functions observability report and confirm charts render from the
ClickHouse endpoint.

show Vercel connection errors inline (#48473)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Bug fix. ## What is the current behavior? Vercel install and project-link failures use transient toasts. ## What is the new behavior? Failures remain visible below the relevant action and clear when the user retries or changes a selection. The Vercel mutation hooks expose errors without choosing their presentation. Interstitial callers render them inline, while existing non-interstitial callers explicitly retain their toasts. | Before | After | | --- | --- | | | | ## To test 1. Switch to `dnywh/inline-vercel-errors` (this branch). 2. Open `apps/studio/pages/integrations/vercel/install.tsx`. 3. Find the `actionError` assignment immediately below `useVercelIntegrationCreateMutation` and replace the whole assignment with: ```tsx const actionError = 'Creating Vercel integration failed: Test error' ``` 4. With local Studio running and while signed in, open `http://localhost:8082/integrations/vercel/install?code=test&configurationId=test&source=marketplace` 5. Confirm the error remains visible below **Install integration**. No Vercel installation or real authorisation code is required. 6. Revert the temporary edit. ## Summary by CodeRabbit ## Bug Fixes * Improved error handling across Vercel project connection and installation flows. * Validation, duplicate-connection, and connection failures now appear inline in the relevant setup steps. * Errors clear automatically when the selected project or organization changes. * Notifications remain available in supported flows, including new project creation and side-panel setup. |

feat(studio): assistant logs context and reports guard (#48514)
## I have read the [CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) file. YES ## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Feature — final PR (9/9) of the SQL editor logs-source stack. **Base branch:** `charislam/sql-editor-inline-ai-clickhouse-dialect` (PR 8). Nothing here is user-visible: entry points stay behind `sqlEditorLogsSource` + `otelLegacyLogs`, and flag rollout happens after the whole stack merges. ## What is the current behavior? - The Assistant has no idea a SQL editor snippet targets the logs backend. Ask it about a logs snippet and it answers in Postgres, because the attached query is fenced as ` ```sql ` and nothing tells the model otherwise. - Because the `sql` fence is what `MessageMarkdown` treats as runnable Postgres, an attached ClickHouse query is rendered with a Run-against-Postgres affordance and branded with `untrustedSql`. - "Debug with Assistant" on a failed logs query produces a dialect-less prompt, so both the in-app assistant and the copyable version get debugged as Postgres. - A report referencing a `log_sql` snippet runs its ClickHouse SQL against the user's Postgres database and surfaces the resulting error. ## What is the new behavior? **Assistant panel.** The "Current Query" chip records which backend the attached query targets. That reaches the model two ways: each attachment is fenced with its own dialect (` ```clickhouse ` vs ` ```sql `), and a `containsLogsSnippets` flag rides on the user message as AI SDK `metadata`. The server reads the flag off the conversation and prepends the ClickHouse dialect rules plus the logs schema reference as a non-cached context message. Two design points worth calling out in review: - The flag lives on the **message**, not the request body, so Retry and the tool-approval continuation reproduce the context a message was originally asked in — neither of those passes a per-call body. - It's derived from **what's actually attached**, so detaching the chip drops the claim rather than leaving the two able to disagree. The `clickhouse` fence also keeps a logs query out of `MessageMarkdown`'s `sql` branch, so it's no longer offered as runnable Postgres or branded with `untrustedSql` — a boundary this stack's distinct brands exist to prevent crossing. **Debug flow.** `buildDebugChatArgs` attaches its query with a source for the same reason, and names the dialect in the prompt text so the copyable version stands on its own outside the app. **Reports.** A report only stores a snippet id, so whether it queries the logs backend is only knowable once the content loads. `ReportBlock` guards on the fetched type and renders a `LogsSnippetReportBlock` placeholder instead of executing. Double-guarded: no `sql` for a logs snippet (so it's out of the query key and `queryFn` short-circuits even on an explicit `refetch`) and `enabled` excludes it. **Incidental cleanups.** `buildAssistantContextMessages` extracted out of `generate-assistant-response`; a schema-access sentinel that was duplicated as a string literal across two files (and compared against) replaced with one exported constant; `SqlSnippet` deduplicated to a single declaration; `resolveSnippetSource` / `isLogsSource` shared instead of re-implemented per surface. **Tests.** 4 new/extended suites. Notable cases pinned: a message with no metadata must validate (`safeValidateUIMessages` applies `metadataSchema` to *every* message, so a required schema would 400 every existing conversation); only *user* messages count, so a model reply can't talk the server into a different dialect; a mixed-attachment message is flagged without overclaiming a single source; and `ReportBlock` registers no pg-meta mock for the logs cases, so an unhandled request failing the test *is* the assertion that logs SQL never reaches Postgres. Verified: `pnpm typecheck`, `lint:ratchet` (no regression), Prettier, and the full Studio suite (459 files / 4969 tests). ## Additional context ## Summary by CodeRabbit - **New Features** - Added support for recognizing log snippets in reports, with clear guidance to open them in the SQL editor or remove them. - AI Assistant now understands log snippets and provides ClickHouse-specific context, formatting, and troubleshooting guidance. - Snippets retain their source information when shared with the AI Assistant. - **Bug Fixes** - Prevented unsupported log snippets from being executed as regular database queries. - Improved source detection when opening snippets directly from links. |

feat(studio): ClickHouse dialect for logs snippet AI + rewrite to ClickHouse (#48501)
## I have read the [CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) file. YES ## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Feature, plus a refactor of the shared logs-rewrite flow. PR 8 of the SQL editor query-source series. Stacked on #48457 — review that one first, and merge this after it. ## What is the current behavior? A `log_sql` snippet runs against the ClickHouse-backed analytics endpoint, but the SQL editor's AI still writes Postgres: inline edits get Postgres system prompts, and the result is run through `sql-formatter`, which mangles ClickHouse backticks and `log_attributes` map lookups. Legacy Logs Explorer saved queries open in the editor as `log_sql` snippets. Those are BigQuery dialect and error against the ClickHouse endpoint the editor runs them on, with no in-editor way out — only the Logs Explorer offered a rewrite. The completion route was also asymmetric. It assembled a schema/code/instruction message for Postgres but forwarded `prompt` verbatim for ClickHouse, so a client wanting ClickHouse had to hand-build the equivalent string. ## What is the new behavior? **Inline AI speaks ClickHouse for logs snippets.** `sqlSourceToDialect` maps a snippet's source to `postgres`/`clickhouse` and `buildCompletionRequestBody` threads it through. For ClickHouse, `useSqlEditorAi` strips code fences from the response and skips `formatSql`. Execution and dialect both follow the snippet type, so a snippet's valid dialect never flips. **Rewrite to ClickHouse in the editor.** A banner offers the rewrite for a logs snippet whose text trips `looksLikeLegacyLogsQuery`, and proposes the result through the editor's existing AI diff view rather than replacing the snippet, so it's accepted or discarded like any other AI edit. Gated on `otelLegacyLogs`: on a non-migrated org the BigQuery text is still correct, so rewriting it would break a working query. The offer is a state machine (`offered` / `rewriting` / `failed` / `noRewriteNeeded` / `dismissed`) with a declarative table of valid transitions, so the states are mutually exclusive by construction and dismissal is terminal. A failure keeps its message and offers a retry; a response identical to the input is reported rather than opening an empty diff. **One place assembles completion prompts.** The route now uses a single template for both dialects, branching only the schema section and — for `intent: 'rewrite'` — the instruction. `lib/ai/clickhouse-logs.ts` is the single home for ClickHouse-logs prompt content, replacing two independently maintained descriptions of the same table. Clients carry no prompt text. **The rewrite flow is shared with the Logs Explorer.** Both surfaces previously hand-rolled the same sequence and had drifted: only one detected a no-op rewrite, they sourced `log_attributes` keys differently, and the Explorer formatted errors with an `as Error` cast. Both now use `useLegacyLogsRewrite` and the same state-driven banner, so the Explorer picks up no-op detection and typed error extraction. **Attribute keys are fetched on submit, not while typing.** The detected source would otherwise feed a reactive query key, making every edit that changed it cost another network call. `useLogsAttributeKeys` is imperative and goes through `queryClient.fetchQuery`, so a source already cached — including by the Explorer header and query panel, which subscribe reactively — is reused. This also closes a gap where inline edits never received keys at all, unlike full rewrites. `getErrorMessage` gains an optional typed fallback and no longer stringifies a bare object into `'[object Object]'`; every existing caller already hand-rolled a fallback, except `QueueSettings`, which interpolated the raw result and now passes one. Nothing here is user-visible until the `sqlEditorLogsSource` flag is enabled. Tests: dialect selection and request-body shape, the ClickHouse prompt content (including that the schema section does not restate the dialect rules), the reducer's valid and invalid transitions, `shouldOfferLegacyLogsRewrite`, on-submit key discovery with cache reuse, and `getErrorMessage`. ## Additional context ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added an Assistant banner to help rewrite legacy BigQuery-style logs queries into ClickHouse SQL. * SQL assistance now adapts to the selected query type, including relevant log attribute context. * Rewrite suggestions can be reviewed as editor diffs before being applied. * **Bug Fixes** * Improved rewrite failure handling, retry options, dismissal behavior, and “no rewrite needed” messaging. * Error notifications now provide a clearer fallback message when details are unavailable. |

feat(studio): logs snippets in SQL editor nav, search, and tabs (#48457)
## What PR 7 of the SQL-editor query-source (Database vs Logs) stack. Surfaces `log_sql` snippets as a distinct query source across the SQL editor sidebar. Stacked on **`charislam/toolbar-ui-creation-flow`** (PR 6 — toolbar UI + creation flow); review/merge that first. Nothing is user-visible until the flags roll out — every entry point requires **both** `sqlEditorLogsSource` **and** `otelLegacyLogs`. ## Changes - **Nav** — a flag-gated **Logs** section (`LogsSnippetsSection`) backed by its own single-type `log_sql` query. The active snippet is injected only into the section it belongs to, via a shared `withActiveSnippet(snippets, active, belongsPredicate)` helper (also DRYs the private/favorites/shared injections). - **Search** (`SearchList`) — a **Logs** result group with a shared, extracted `SqlSnippetTree`; the "N results found" count now sums database + logs, with loading/empty states covering both queries. - **Tabs** — an immutable `sqlSource` field on tab/recent-item metadata (set at tab creation, lazily backfilled once the snippet loads via `useEffectEvent`), and a distinct `ScrollText` icon via a shared `LogsSnippetIcon`. Tab cleanup treats `log_sql` tabs as live and only prunes them when logs data is authoritative (`canPruneLogsTabs`), so a disabled/erroring logs query never wrongly deletes logs tabs or blocks database-tab cleanup. - **Data layer** — `useSqlSnippetsQuery` gains an optional `type` param so logs reuse the same `SnippetWithContent` shape as the other sections (no casts). ## Tests - `state/tabs.test.ts` — `sqlSource` backfill + creation-time carry-through. - `components/layouts/Tabs/Tabs.utils.test.tsx` — cleanup prunes stale database/logs snippets, keeps live ones, and preserves logs tabs when logs data isn't authoritative. ## Verification - `pnpm --filter studio typecheck` ✓ - `pnpm --filter studio run lint:ratchet` ✓ - `pnpm test:studio` (affected suites) ✓ ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Added a collapsible Logs section to the SQL editor sidebar for browsing, sorting, selecting, renaming, and deleting log queries. * Expanded SQL search with separate, paginated results for database and log queries. * Added dedicated log-query icons across navigation, tabs, previews, and recent items. * **Bug Fixes** * Improved tab and recent-item cleanup while preserving active log queries and accurate source metadata. * **Tests** * Added coverage for log tab cleanup and SQL source metadata synchronization. |
