fix(studio): clarify Warehouse status and navigation (#50554)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Bug fix and UI polish. ## What is the current behavior? The Warehouse Connect option repeats its own name, and a configured Warehouse has no direct route back to its management page. Warehouse table states also use badges instead of the status-dot pattern used by Replication, and a backfilling table can misleadingly appear as “Caught up”. ## What is the new behavior? - Describes Warehouse as an analytical endpoint and adds a low-emphasis “Manage Warehouse” link from the Connect sheet. - Shares Replication’s status-dot presentation with Warehouse while keeping feature-specific state mapping separate. - Shows replication lag only for live tables, so backfilling and “Caught up” are never presented together. | Before | After | | --- | --- | | <img width="1244" height="1156" alt="CleanShot 2026-09-18 at 14 03 49@2x" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/60aa3496-6930-491a-af9e-9ffcfb035a0f" /> | <img width="1216" height="1214" alt="CleanShot 2026-09-18 at 14 04 33@2x" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/84a8c80e-d8d1-4ee5-9cce-352d1f6477c2" /> | | <img width="1314" height="1414" alt="CleanShot 2026-09-18 at 14 02 50@2x" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/8871a4a5-0543-4290-91a7-9da949ec4c49" /> | <img width="1308" height="1498" alt="CleanShot 2026-09-18 at 14 02 43@2x" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/ac3fc6d1-5b4d-4a3a-8ab7-bb54025e2145" /> | ## To test 1. Open `/project/<ref>?showConnect=true&connectTab=warehouse` for a project with Warehouse configured. Confirm the mode subtitle says “Analytical endpoint”. Confirm the new “Manage Warehouse” button opens `/project/<ref>/integrations/warehouse/overview`. 2. Open `/project/<ref>/integrations/warehouse/overview` while a table is backfilling. Confirm it has a pulsing amber status dot and does not show “Caught up”. 3. Once the table is live, confirm it has a green “Live” status dot and its lag appears normally. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit - **New Features** - Added clearer Warehouse setup progress messaging with a “View progress” action while setup is running. - Connection details are shown once the Warehouse is provisioned or has live tables. - Added a Cancel action when editing changed Warehouse table selections. - Updated table statuses with live, syncing, and warning indicators, including animated syncing states. - Lag details are displayed for live tables when available. - Renamed the Warehouse connection option to “Analytical endpoint.” - **Style** - Improved Warehouse management controls and table name readability. - Removed the table Size column from the Warehouse overview. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

feat(studio): make the Connect framework and client selectors searchable (#50072)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Feature. ## What is the current behavior? The Framework and Client selectors in the Connect sheet are plain selects. Neither is scannable at its current length, and Client is the worse of the two at 19 options. ## What is the new behavior? Both are searchable comboboxes. Each keeps its selection, filters as you type, matches on the underlying key as well as the label so `nextjs` finds `Next.js`, and announces its empty state to screen readers. | Before | After | | --- | --- | | <img width="1182" height="1250" alt="CleanShot 2026-09-07 at 14 47 12@2x" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/6243c549-03cc-41bf-8b3c-a186ca0e93b5" /> | <img width="1178" height="1162" alt="CleanShot 2026-09-07 at 14 46 42@2x" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/d7ca5e72-3f8b-48e5-b20f-84382e4e4fd7" /> | Placeholder, search and empty-state copy now sit on the field definition in the schema, next to the label, so one combobox component serves both fields without guessing at plurals. Client keeps its icons hidden, matching what the select did. The comment about MCP images being unoptimized still stands, so this is not the PR to turn them on. Radix Select brings its own scroll lock, so replacing it with a popover would have regressed touch scrolling in the sheet. #50103 moved that guard into `CommandList` and has merged, so this branch now carries the feature only. ## To test - Open the Connect sheet on the deploy preview. - Open the Framework selector, search for `native`, confirm only React Native remains, select it, and confirm the generated connection instructions update. - Search `nextjs` and confirm Next.js matches on its key. - Switch to the MCP tab and open Client. Search `cur` and confirm Cursor matches. - Confirm both lists cap their height and scroll, and that the sheet behind stays put. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Framework selection now uses a searchable combobox for easier navigation of long lists. * Search results clear automatically when the combobox closes. * Long framework lists appear in a contained, scrollable area. * **Accessibility** * Screen readers announce when no frameworks match the search. * Improved combobox and listbox relationships support assistive technologies. * The dropdown opens as a modal layer to keep focus within the selection experience. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 5 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

fix(studio): update Swift package URL to official supabase org (#50184)
## Summary - The Studio Connect sheet's Swift install command pointed at `supabase-community/supabase-swift`, which is no longer where the package lives — it's now official under `supabase/supabase-swift`. - Updated the URL in `INSTALL_COMMANDS.supabaseswift`. ## Test plan - [x] Verified no other references to the old URL remain in Studio code (translated top-level READMEs under `i18n/` also reference the old URL but are out of scope for this fix) <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit - **Bug Fixes** - Updated the Swift installation command to reference the official Supabase Swift repository. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

chore(library): update routes, redirects, and naming (#48668)
Our UI Library registry is expanding to include blocks that go beyond UI and in some cases focus purely on back-end. This PR is a precursor to adding more back-end related blocks. This PR includes the `ui-library -> library` rename plus redirects and small UI copy updates. Since this is a rename we'll need to update Vercel configuration. ## Vercel rollout Keep the Library project Root Directory as `apps/ui-library` 1. In the **Library** Vercel project, set: `NEXT_PUBLIC_BASE_PATH=/library` Apply it to Preview and Production, then redeploy the Library project. 2. In the **www** Vercel project, add: `NEXT_PUBLIC_LIBRARY_URL=<current value of NEXT_PUBLIC_UI_LIBRARY_URL>` Apply it to Preview and Production. Keep `NEXT_PUBLIC_UI_LIBRARY_URL` during the migration, then redeploy the www project. 3. Deploy in this order: 1. Library project 2. www project 4. Validate: - `/library` - `/library/docs/nextjs/password-based-auth` - `/ui` redirects to `/library` - `/ui/docs/nextjs/password-based-auth` redirects to `/library/docs/nextjs/password-based-auth` - `/ui/docs/ai-editors-rules/*` still uses its existing Docs redirects No Vercel dashboard redirect rules are needed. Environment-variable changes require a new deployment. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * Supabase UI Library has been renamed to **Supabase Library** across navigation, pages, documentation, and resource links. * The Library is now available at `/library`, with updated descriptions covering components, blocks, and developer tools. * **Bug Fixes** * Added permanent redirects from legacy `/ui` URLs to corresponding `/library` paths. * Updated links throughout the site and documentation to prevent broken navigation and references. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

feat(studio): polish Connect sheet mode selector and steps (#48266)
## What kind of change does this PR introduce? UI polish for the Connect sheet: clearer mode selection, wider sheet layout, and step/content chrome across Direct, Server, MCP, and shadcn flows. ## What is the current behavior? - Connect modes use a weak selected state and an awkward grid layout. - The sheet can jump width below the `lg` breakpoint when switching modes. - Direct connection chrome is noisy (reset in a footer, Title Case / mono pooler labels, mismatched copy-button sizes). - Several steps use admonitions or extra tips that repeat footer guidance. - Case-sensitive import of `InlineLink` breaks Linux/Vercel builds. ## What is the new behavior? ### Mode selector and sheet - Stronger selected/hover treatment; comfortable single row that wraps via `@container`. - Empty odd slots use a sunk placeholder cell. - Sheet uses `size="lg"` with `max-w-4xl` and `w-full min-w-0` so width stays stable when switching modes. ### Steps chrome - “Follow these steps” header with a copy-prompt action for coding agents. - Optional steps labelled `(optional)`. - Shared `CodeBlock` for install snippets; MCP feature groups preselect all except Storage. - Server / shadcn tips folded into footers; IPv4 add-on admonition is responsive with an inline Learn more link and a single Enable action. ### Direct connection - Connection string and connection parameters stay one step (same credentials, two formats). - Reset database password lives in the string card title row beside Shared/Dedicated pooler. - Card titles use sans + sentence case (`Shared pooler`, `Connection parameters`); `.env` stays mono. - Icon-only copy buttons match CodeBlock square sizing; row actions sit slightly closer to the right edge (`pr-2`). - Shared pooler toggle copy clarified. | Before | After | | --- | --- | | <img width="390" height="763" alt="API Keys Settings Chisel Toolshed Supabase" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/adca3cc5-94f8-47e5-a4a2-2831790f430a" /> | <img width="390" height="763" alt="API Keys Settings Chisel Toolshed Supabase" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/f03afe58-e654-435e-a821-835f6243ca95" /> | | <img width="1718" height="1323" alt="API Keys Settings Chisel Toolshed Supabase" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/79f08620-7e1e-4246-a70f-801606c0f499" /> | <img width="1718" height="1323" alt="API Keys Settings Chisel Toolshed Supabase" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/fb45e851-955e-46c2-90f1-afecb93d6ac4" /> | | <img width="1718" height="1323" alt="API Keys Settings Chisel Toolshed Supabase" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/eda36d21-bba7-46ab-ad48-134acf93b471" /> | <img width="1718" height="1323" alt="API Keys Settings Chisel Toolshed Supabase" src="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/b7b728c6-fc92-46a7-8e3f-2f182c56ece7" /> | ### Test plan - [ ] Open **Connect** and confirm mode cells select/hover clearly; narrow the sheet and confirm wrap + stable width. - [ ] Direct: switch Direct / Transaction / Session; confirm pooler title, reset in title row, parameters table, and percent-encode note. - [ ] Toggle IPv4 shared pooler on Transaction; confirm string updates and admonition/Learn more behaviour when on IPv4-only paths. - [ ] Server: `.env` Copy all / row copy sizing; install command copy. - [ ] MCP / shadcn / Framework: steps still resolve and copy prompt still builds a useful agent prompt. - [ ] Spot-check light/dark and a Linux/Vercel build (InlineLink import casing). |

feat: Add Server lib to connect w/ ability to copy env (#47056)
## I have read the [CONTRIBUTING.md](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md) file. YES ## What kind of change does this PR introduce? Introduced a new library called Superbase/Server. To help developers using third party API frameworks, we want to make it easier than ever to install and use as needed. - One click copy - Custom prompt to get started - Validated API key permissions to ensure we don't leak secrets to other users in your org/project <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit ## New Features - Added a **Server** connection mode end-to-end, including mode-specific prompting and steps for installing **`@supabase/server`** and setting required variables. - Added a server **.env** panel with per-variable copy, **“Copy all variables”**, and permission-aware secret reveal/copy. ## Improvements - Updated connection UI layouts (mode selector grid and conditional config section). - Improved prompt copying to use mode-specific prompt text when available. ## Tests - Added UI tests for server env rendering, secret reveal/copy, **copy-all** behavior, and permission-restricted scenarios. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> |

fix: remove invalid Codex MCP config from connect sheet and docs (#46230)
## Summary Two surfaces were showing invalid Codex config keys that don't exist in Codex's schema (which uses `additionalProperties: false`), causing validation errors for users who followed the setup steps. - **Studio Connect Sheet** (`connect.schema.ts`): removes the "Enable remote MCP client support" step, which told users to add `[mcp]\nremote_mcp_client_enabled = true` to `~/.codex/config.toml`. Deletes the dead content component and updates tests. - **Docs MCP panel** (`ui-patterns/McpUrlBuilder/constants.tsx`): removes the `[features]\nrmcp_client = true` config block from the Codex `alternateInstructions`. Keeps the valid authenticate (`codex mcp login supabase`) and verify (`/mcp`) steps. Closes [AI-548](https://linear.app/supabase/issue/AI-548/bug-studio-mcp-connect-flow-shows-invalid-codex-config-guidance) Fixes #43893 ## Root cause Both invalid keys were introduced in #42374 (Feb 2026). A full search through the [`openai/codex`](https://github.com/openai/codex) git history confirms neither `remote_mcp_client_enabled` nor `rmcp_client` ever existed in any version of the codebase (neither the TypeScript CLI nor the Rust rewrite). --------- Co-authored-by: Claude Sonnet 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com> |

fix(studio): add @supabase/ssr to Connect Sheet install step (#44694)
The Connect Sheet install step only listed `@supabase/supabase-js`, but the generated code for Next.js (app router) and Remix imports from `@supabase/ssr` – so users following the steps immediately hit import errors. **Added:** - `EXTRA_PACKAGES` map in `connect.schema.ts` – frameworks declare additional packages on top of the base library install, keyed by `framework/variant` for granularity (e.g. `nextjs/app` gets `@supabase/ssr`, `nextjs/pages` does not) - Install content component appends extras automatically - Step title pluralises to "Install packages" when extras are present - Tests for extra packages, variant-specific install commands, and step titles **Changed:** - Next.js steps now branch on `frameworkVariant` so app router and pages router can have different install steps - Remix gets an explicit entry in the step tree (previously fell through to DEFAULT) ## To test - Open Connect Sheet → Framework → Next.js → App Router - Install step should say "Install packages" and show `npm install @supabase/supabase-js @supabase/ssr` - Switch to Pages Router - Install step should say "Install package" and show `npm install @supabase/supabase-js` - Switch to Remix - Install step should say "Install packages" and show `npm install @supabase/supabase-js @supabase/ssr` - Other frameworks (Vue, SvelteKit, etc.) should be unchanged <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit ## Release Notes * **New Features** * Enhanced package installation guidance to include framework-specific additional packages (e.g., @supabase/ssr for Next.js App Router and Remix). * Installation step labels now accurately reflect the number of packages being installed. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> Co-authored-by: Alaister Young <10985857+alaister@users.noreply.github.com> |

feat(studio): connectSection experiment — replace Getting Started with Connect section (#43629)
## Summary Re-ports PR #43119 against the current `ProjectHome` codebase (the original PR targeted `HomeNew/` which was removed during the `homeNew` graduation in #43437). Also unifies the `connectSheet` and `connectSection` feature flags into a single `connectSection` flag — the `connectSheet` flag is removed entirely, so both the ConnectSheet (header) and ConnectSection (homepage row) are controlled by one experiment. - Adds `connectSection` PostHog experiment flag that controls two things: 1. Swaps the Getting Started section for a Connect section on the project homepage for new projects (< 10 days old) 2. Swaps the legacy Connect dialog for the new ConnectSheet panel in the header - **Control** (`getting-started`): existing Getting Started section + legacy Connect dialog in header - **Treatment** (`connect`): new 4-tile Connect section + ConnectSheet in header - `undefined` (loading): neither section renders, avoiding flash - Tiles filtered by the same `useIsFeatureEnabled` flags as ConnectSheet (`show_app_frameworks`, `show_mobile_frameworks`, `show_orms`) - Connect tile clicks tracked via `home_connect_action_clicked`; section render tracked via `home_connect_section_exposed`; sheet opens tracked via `connect_sheet_opened` with source attribution (`header_button` or `connect_section`) ## Changes - `packages/common/telemetry-constants.ts` — new `home_connect_section_exposed`, `home_connect_action_clicked`, and `connect_sheet_opened` event types - `ConnectSheet/ConnectSheet.tsx` — read `connectTab` query param and sync to active mode on open; `handleModeChange` keeps param in sync on tab switch; fire `connect_sheet_opened` event with source attribution on open - `ConnectButton/ConnectButton.tsx` — set `connectSource=header_button` query param on click - `ProjectHome/ConnectSection.tsx` — new component (4-tile connect card); set `connectSource=connect_section` on tile click - `ProjectHome/Home.tsx` — experiment flag wiring - `LayoutHeader/LayoutHeader.tsx` — read `connectSection` flag instead of `connectSheet` to toggle ConnectSheet vs legacy Connect dialog ## Test plan To test on the Vercel preview, set `connectSection=connect` to 100% in PostHog (or override via cookie `ph_override_connectSection=connect`). No separate `connectSheet` flag is needed — `connectSection` controls both features. - [x] Treatment (`connect` variant) — "Get connected" section renders on new project, Getting Started hidden - [x] Control (`getting-started`) — Getting Started renders, Connect section hidden - [x] Mature project (> 10 days) — neither section regardless of flag - [x] Clicking each tile opens ConnectSheet on the correct tab (Framework / Direct / ORM / MCP) - [x] Switching tabs inside sheet updates `connectTab` URL param - [x] Closing sheet clears `connectTab` param - [x] Direct URL deep-link (`?showConnect=true&connectTab=orm`) opens sheet on correct tab - [x] Dark mode — background gradient renders correctly - [x] Light mode — background switches to light gradient - [x] Responsive layout — 4 cols (xl), 2×2 (md), stacked (mobile) - [x] Telemetry — `home_connect_section_exposed` fires once on load; `home_connect_action_clicked` fires with correct `mode` - [x] Treatment — header Connect button opens ConnectSheet (not legacy Connect dialog) - [x] Control — header Connect button opens legacy Connect dialog (not ConnectSheet) - [x] Telemetry — clicking a ConnectSection tile fires `connect_sheet_opened` with `source: 'connect_section'` - [x] Telemetry — clicking header Connect button fires `connect_sheet_opened` with `source: 'header_button'` --------- Co-authored-by: Ali Waseem <waseema393@gmail.com> |

Connect sheet content structure (#42373)
This is part two of a [PR breakdown](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/42276) that introduces our connect schema and how content is retrieved. This focuses on the Framework tab to start. Fields are generated and content is rendered using a connect.schema file. This schema file defines modes, fields and steps. Each mode has a set of fields. Each field can be dependent on another field. The steps generated are then based off the values of the modes and fields. Each step can also render varying content dynamically using a template {{framework}}/{{frameworkVariant}}/{{library}} which just replaces those values with what's in state (fields selected). [Part one needs to be merged first.](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/pull/42367) The next stage will add back all other tabs and content. <!-- This is an auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> ## Summary by CodeRabbit * **New Features** * New Connect Sheet UI to guide app-to-project connections with dynamic configuration and copyable connection parameters. * Multi-framework & mobile support with ready-to-use code examples, install commands, and step-by-step setup for 20+ frameworks. * Multiple PostgreSQL connection methods (direct, transaction, session) with safe/masked connection previews. * Copy-prompt that aggregates step content and code for easy sharing. * **UI** * Multi-file code viewer with tabbed code blocks and added syntax support (Swift, TOML, HTML). * **Tests** * Comprehensive unit tests for resolver and state logic. <!-- end of auto-generated comment: release notes by coderabbit.ai --> --------- Co-authored-by: Joshen Lim <joshenlimek@gmail.com> |
